love your style and manner of speaking! super fun and nice. also i love the demo! i used ro have a reface DX and adored it, so it's cool to see the other members of its family. I'm so used to the black and white drawbar color scheme on my old 1959 Hammond M3 that having all the drawbars black would throw me off so much lol
Right now I have the DX and YC on top of the piano and the CP and CS connected to a cheap midi keyboard, and a mic all through a mixer and a Vox amp. One of the best things about the Reface series is how simple it is to swap one out for another, just plug and play. :-)
The CP is currently sold out in my country (Thailand). Can't find it anywhere... I have the CS & DX + this YC... I used to own the original CP-30 (kinda like a Rhodes, not really though... Doesn't sound like a CP-80/70 but it's really heavy), and the DX-7 & DX-21... The new Reface versions are not quite as deep as the old ones but they're way easier to use.
@@BennieTarrMusic They finally got back in stock here in Japan, but they hiked the prices significantly. Seems like production has been hit by the chip shortage. I’m looking for a used YC, but even the used prices on those have been pricey here in Japan lately.
i totally agree with you temp work is just a way for the bossman to get all your labour and for you to be exploited , here in nz we have the same system going , great sounding organ btw , i just purchased one and can not wait till it arrives
For the volume it is a good idea to use an expression pedal. There is an input for it in the back of the instrument. Also "crucial" for rock, to push the organ sound "into" the drive. Just like you if you would saturate a Leslie preamp with a volume pedal.
Yamaha... Always very reliable. Need a drumset AND a snowmobile? They've got you covered! As I mentioned the crappy cellphone mic doesn't capture the full effect. With two amps in stereo, you can literally feel the sound filling the room, and the low notes you can feel more than actually hear, just like in a big old church where the whole building shakes. They managed to pack all that power into a keyboard that weighs next to nothing... Japanese engineering!
I live in Asia, so we can get everything fast & cheap. Overnight shipping is about $5... I'm collecting all 4 Reface keyboards - I used to have a real DX-7 and DX-21, so the Reface DX feels like "home". If you use two amps for stereo sound, it absolutely fills the room. @@nclsrfn not according to Yamaha or the store I ordered it from. I got a reface CP earlier this month. The store I ordered from is saying it may take a few months for them to be back in stock.
@@nclsrfn ... so far. You got me nervous, so I re-checked on the status of my back-order... still says it's waiting for item. I'm a bit behind the curve and have been discovering how many good keyboards were released within the last 5-6 years. The YC is the one out of the reface-series I wanted the most.
Came for the keyboard, stayed for the jokes! Great video my guy!
Hell yeah, all of my videos are like that! Appreciate the support! Peace!

Love it 🎹
Dad jokes right at the top. I like where your head is at bro
Just got one myself, and midi it to another full size keyboard - alas I can't avoid fumbling with those mini keys. Great vid mate!
Amazing! Thanks for this video, it’s the best one out there for the yc!
I've got both those beater guitars too ! wow, i've been here for 4 hours.
The sliders are replicating the Drawbars on the original Hammond organs.
ie 16ft (each with a built-in volume control.)
Just bought an used one. I already had the CP. Great instruments.

My dad got me one of these for Christmas
You've got a great dad!!
I really love the keyboard. Lol. You are funny lol
seems the Yamaha Reface YC is at least six years old, is this Yamaha's latest product in that line of keyboards?
As far as I know there are only the original 4 Refaces...
Omg what doors song are you playing at 10:40?
Light My Fire
Love the keyboard.

Can’t find one of these… back-ordered. Actually, most of the Reface versions are unavailable right now here in the states.

I think the Reface line is discontinued.

I have the CP and love it. How do you think the YC would be for reggae?
Probably pretty awesome.
I've done reggae sessions with a DX-7. The YC is way more authentic sounding for that style.
Bro, get you a tripod! I'm getting car sick trying to watch this video 🤢
I paid $10,000 for that effect!!
Two minutes in. I am growing a headache.
Shot demo boring 😂😂😂
