I feel as though someone should be recording Bonnie's voice every single day to get her singing as many songs as possible. Goddess sound.
Just revisiting this. My solace during shelter in place. Bonnie sings like an angel.
This might very well be one of my favorite bands of all time. Words escape me at the moment.
Yes
I just discovered them a couple of days ago. I'm 55, and was into music before I could walk. I like music from the last 3 centuries.
And yet these guys have just catapulted straight into favourite band territory. Absolutely unbelievable.
Her voice reminds me of the first time I heard Mazzy Star Fade into you. I felt shivers in my soul.
I love this song, and especially Bonnie's voice and the violin. So good.
Is this what heaven sounds like, if so, I'm all in!
BONNIE PAINE, YOU ARE INCREDIBLE. ;-)
I like it. I'm a sucker for washboard bands and tenor banjos.
Beautiful song. Annie's voice hauntingly beautiful ❤️
The voice of a human soul, captured and interpreted.
Saw these guys last night @ the Bourbon Theater in Lincoln, NE. Absolutely flawless show. Beautiful harmonies. I've never felt so compelled to thank a band for their performance as at this show. 100% recommended to all.
Kris Murph Right on. I was there too. Ended way to quick.
so beautiful I want to cry
The banjo player was hangin out with us in our camp site at All Good last weekend. Pretty cool guy- I didn't even realize this band is pretty big haha
I have so much more respect for the washboard as an instrument now. Your voice is amazing and such a perfect fit.
Out on the road
Invest ferialds gold
We're no one knows
But everybody's wondering
Where does it go
The wind that blows
Where from does it come
How everybody's wondering
Alone she cry's
Let me be inside
The ocean tide
Remembering a beginning
As the water climbs
Up the mountain side
Keep you're eyes open wide
Remembering a beginning
There's a fire burning
In the middle of it is turning
Wild and yearning
For everything (for everything)
Remains inside
These changing sky's
Through weeks in time
Remembering
The wait to own
How the sparrow knows
Through the days they've flown
How everybody's wondering
What has seen these sky's
Below our pride
What the sky's have seen
Rembering a beginning
sounds pretty cool :)
This song never becomes old, it is a beginning...
My oh my................Bonnie Paine!!!.................I think I'm in love!
midyearguru thats my aunt 😍
I keep finding the most wonderful music. And now THIS. Wow. After Bearfoot and Crooked Still, I thought I had heard it all. Nope. Hooray for Elephant Revival. Such a delicious sound. As a fiddler and songwriter I find tremendous inspiration here. Keep it up, you folks!
They played this piece at Fairfield's Fairfest 2 weeks ago. A magical evening!
the best music i have heard on youtube comes from you guys keep up the good work when i was younger i never would have been exposed to bands like this i wish more radio stations would follow suit
Wow! Just stumbled across these guys. Please come to the Finger Lakes.
Love to see them in concert with someone like Black Prairie. This band is amazing !
Just bought two of their albums after seeing this video. Thanks for posting the video @MusicFog, great stuff
Saw these guys in Northern WI!!! Got to meet them and they all signed my bandana, the concert was beautiful!
First time, and I love them.
your no longer a ER virgin then...welcome to the club..they are a VERY special group to be sure!
@@mustangmikep51 i just found them a week ago! They cover a range of styles that I typically either don't like much of, or am ambivalent to, and yet I became obsessed almost immediately. I only found them through their cover of Tool's Schism, which gives you an idea of the type of stuff I normally listen too!
@@stevelaw3886 if pure creativity could be condensed into a pill...that pills ingredients would be made of the members of Elephant Revival..I classify their music as "Transcendental Folk Rock" seen them many times modern hippies with a message of love and wonderment and authenticity
Do not stop making music ever u have my attention
+Jameson Pack I totally agree with your sentiment.
+Milo Dodds thanks man
This band is awesome. I hope they come to Austria some day.
Yes! Original sound, much talent and good songwriting to boot!
Great band, she is a funky singer.
Just discovered this group! What beautiful music! Please come to NY!
Great song, voice, and violin! Just the right degree of hauntingness. Song develops nicely as more instruments add to the magic.

Her voice reminds me so much of Buffy Sainte-Marie! She's amazing.

Remembering
What an earthy, compelling voice... great haunting song... original acoustic music at it's best!
I live in Colorado's FrontRange... so why don't I know about this fine group?
(Haven't seen a gal with a washboard since Tara Nevins of "Donna the Buffalo".)
WOW
I have a Woodbox Gang rubboard I got from Alex Kirk of the Woodbox Gang. He used to make gloves from 10 gauge shotgun brass glued with automotive epoxy to heavy duty nylon work gloves. The gloves work quite nicely on the rubboards!!
Wow! I just found you and I'm in love. ❤
Amazing
Reminds me of Natile Merchant . Good band

You see that smile on the bass player's face at 1:21 ? He's thinking; We have Bonnie Paine in our band, and her voice is hypnotizing.
Many thanks to P Krugman for this. I love this group's voice and sound.
To each his own.

BFE still echoes from one wilderness touching another. Welcome whenever you like.
I love that she has a hippy fiasco sticker on her washboard. Such an incredible band.
Bad ass!!
Saw you at my first FDGD in 2006.
I have loved Elephant Revival (and the Cranberries) for ages and never thought of them having similar voices but you are so right! It's a total ahh moment for me lol
Natalie Merchant is pretty darn similar to miss Bonnie.
Someone was wondering about the second line to Remembering a Beginning, and I have seen curious suggestions. So this vocalist listened carefully, and I think it starts “Along the road, endless fields grow, and no one knows...”
for sure yeah! I get the sense that she writes some of her songs on the road... and I see that line as coming out of driving through some of the big spaces in America.... but that's me projecting.... I've definitely felt that
