    Update: After shooting this gun over 600 rounds, I can say I recommend it. It's a joy to shoot and its very accurate. The weight is like a real 1911 and so are the controls. The price on these recently went up a tad.

    I Ran around 6k of rounds in mine. I didnt polish the rails (took about 2k to smooth itself)
    -Ammo I have tried so far;
    Ammo it loves;
    1. Remington thunderbolts
    2. Aguila SuperExtra HV
    3. CCI minimag
    4. American eagle
    5. Fed. Gameshok
    Ammo it hates;
    1. Winchester 222/555 (40% fail)ftc,stovep, fte
    2. Fed automatch 325 (20% fail) ftc,stovep,lps
    3. Armscor (20% fail) ftc, fte, stovep, and one casing exploded in chamber sending pressure out ejector all over my face. Very gunky casings. Cycled ok when wiped down each round.
    Issues;
    1. Barrel fixing screw loosens after 30-50rds(POI will change)
    2. Barrel becomes difficult to remove from slide during dissassembly the more rounds and the longer sessions you have.
    Slide lock/stop wear.
    No issues with my gsg yet but I ordered recoil a spring, Guide rod and buffer from ZTRS; when the parts do wear.
    Plastic sights are awful. But its a fun gun regardless. I am happy with my purchase.

    I just purchased this gun and I can’t wait to take it shooting. I bought this gun for economical reasons as well, something I can take to the range to practice without breaking the bank. Great review!!

    Great video!

    I just purchased one of these with the fake suppressor...I was surprised to see that your thread protector end piece that u remove to attach the suppressor came off the barrel with just you simply screwing it off with your fingers. I tried using the wrench it came with and it was on so tight that the wrench slipped around the flat part and scratched it pretty bad. I ended up having to take it to a gunsmith. He had to put the barrel in a vise to finally get it off. I called American Tactical and was told that because in some states like California, it is illegal to own a gun with a threaded barrel, therefore its shipped with full strength lock tight on it and it needs to be put in a vise and heated with a torch to break it free. Happy for you that you didnt have to deal with all of this. Otherwise, the gun itself is well worth the price of it. Feels just like a full size 1911. Thanks for posting this very good video !

      The key with these is running good ammo. I bought some Remington bottom of the barrel junk and it runs but gets jammed like 1/50 rounds or so. Im still enjoying this gun today. I use it when introducing someone to firearms.

    You can buy this GSG directly from American Tactical (the importer) and have it transferred to your local gun store for pick-up. A fun .22 and same weight and feel as a regular .45 1911. 10/10.

    I've had mine for 5 months now and had about 4 failure to eject/feed. That is exceptional. My mate who bought a Colt 1911-22 has had more failures (still a nice gun) and he cleans his ever time we're at the range. I've cleaned mine once! In Oz I paid $550 and he paid $995. I'm wrapped!

      Its been great! No issues and at least 1000 rounds through it. Just like any 22 it has to be very clean prior to going to the range. When the gun gets very dirty it will start having malfunctions like the slide staying closed on final round, etc. once shes cleaned up its back to working flawless.

    Have you had any damage to the slide stop area on the slide being bashed and dented by the slide stop lever? Seems to be an issue becouse the slide is made of aluminum.

      @PauloMatias  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No issues here

    • @willf5768
      @willf5768 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PauloMatias The reason I asked mine actually did the stop lever for some reason was hitting the cut out on the slide and denting the very forward bottom edge leaving a little dent and bright spot in the aluminum. I did call GSG and after sending pictures of the damage and in the beginning the woman I spoke to sort of fluffed it off and told me to just use some touch up paint to repair it now I had only put a box of ammo through this gun. So when I asked for a supervisor or someone a little higher up the ladder I ended up with a new slide at no charge which is fine but still haven't figured out why the damage occurred in the first place and still haven't put on the new slide.

    • @PauloMatias
      @PauloMatias  3 ปีที่แล้ว
