That slide is truly the bane of the GSG-1911's existence. It chowders itself so fast cause of how soft the slide metal is. which is funny as it would seem the slide release is made of a more sturdy material. Also I think you're missing a screw on right side of the gun I don't think it affections functionality but it seems odd that piece is missing
I own one and I do not have any of the problems that you have, I shoot 150 to200 rounds every week it likes CCI standard ar or mini mags and aquilia super extra anything less is asking for problems. I did upgrade mine with the pression barrel bushing and stainless-steel guide rod and spring
Was there a particular way of handling the pistol, e.g., normal use of the slide release that contributed to the problem with the slide? I recently purchased a similar model GSG and am wondering if using it a little differently would mitigate the soft metal problem with the slide. I have fewer than 100 rounds through mine so far. Thanks!
The best way to mitigate the soft metal problems on the slide is the not use the slide release. Let it lock open, but rack the slide from the top to chamber a round.
Go to arsenalforce.ca and search for GSG 1911 magazines. That website combines a whole bunch of Canadian gun stores and allows you to search them all at once.

Take the slide off and lube it up and it will probably work just fine
