Happy Birthday Ma, Barbara Elizabeth Smith!!! Love & miss you!!! I would love to wrap you up in this, Angela has taught me and so many others how to get over the fear of " I can't do that" to " I can do anything", well, almost!!! Love Tula Pink fabrics and Angela's fantastic quilting!!!
I am so very thankful to have found not only instruction but encouragement to quilt. I have learned so much. Videos are invaluable. I am a college graduate, but reading is not like seeing. Your Grandpa would be so very proud of you!!!! Keep up the good work!!
Angela, you are A-MAZ-ing! But honestly, I think part of it is you have the confidence to go for it. I love your quilting and your videos. You go, girl!!! (And tell your kids you are really, really cool.)
Aargh, Angela Walters is so natural thinking outside of the box. Sure years of experience and learning and Hats off to her! I like watching and learning because my box is needing to open More…haha. Good lesson on quilting.
Wow! What a gorgeous quilt both before and after quilting. What a treasure trove of Tula's fabrics, very jealous of that stash. Angela, your quilting is perfect for this quilt. As my 4 year old grand daughter likes to say as she's giving a high five "Good job!"
Love, love, love this. So fun for the owner of the quilt to have the "sample" of each of Tula's fabrics....sort of an historical quilt in that respect. I love the personal attention and thought you give to each of your quilt projects.
I "found" Tula's fabrics from watching your videos and just fell in love with her style! So I ordered some of her Christmas fabrics from the "Holiday Homies" collection and made a quilt for the room my grandkids will stay in when they are here over the holidays. I started quilting it yesterday and I am having a BLAST. The dog, goose and deer are just so funny! :) What a treat to find your video here today!!
WOW! I mean WOOOW! You TRULY are a quilting WIZARD Miss Angela!!! I can't wait to jump in and start learning! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! ♡♡♡ Have a Blessed day!
I love how you gave us a brief glimpse into your working area when your daughter walked by. It's nice to know that things can get messy when you are working on a big project at your house, too! I love how down to earth you are and your videos are such a breath of fresh air. My generation often made quilting into a perfection contest and that takes all the fun out of it! Thank you for sharing your immense talent and experience. You are a dollbaby! Hugs, Deb Quiltbeeme
I just love being a fly on the wall - watching you quilt. Hmmmm...I wonder if there's a job for me that would just entail me to 'watch' you quilt; sounds like a dream to me!
My husband sat down and watched a few minutes and said "WHOA!! She's goooood!" Lol! But it's so true! And to think if I would of known 7 years ago I could of gone into your shop!😱😭. We lived in Iowa back then and made quite a few trips to Kansas, Missouri
The quilt is amazing. And so detailed. I am ashamed to say I have a quilt that has been on my frame (plz don't judge) nearly two years. I kept working on it and then taking out the stitching. My daughter, who is the proud owner of if, has been patient beyond belief. What inspired me was what you said in one of your Midnight videos (and I have said this to my own kids about other projects too....), FINISHED IS BETTER THAN PERFECT. So, tonight as a pledge to myself, and a surprise gift for my daughter's baby shower gift, it will be done and it will NOT be perfect. Wow, that took a ton of stress off of me.
I can not even imagine how long it took you to complete this. I learned a lot by watching this video. Little tips and tricks go a very long way in a longarmers quilt bag. Thank you
This Labor Day has been terrific spending time on Craftsy with your classes free for today!! I watched three entire classes. Thoroughly enjoy your style of teaching because it is fun and always holds my attention.
Your videos are both educational and inspirational, Angela. I was thrilled to see you speak in Longmont even if I couldn't take your class. I had my first longarm class today and a quilt show, and the instructor said I was a natural. Please tell me there's such a thing and she wasn't just trying to sell me a machine! 😀
I just made a hexagon quilt for my neighbor lady who went into a nursing home early this summer. I used all flower prints for my centers with white triangles. I stitched in the ditch all over it. It is just the right size for her bed. She loved it. Great quilting tips! I am still new to quilting quilting. I used to always tie them with crochet thread in the past. I look forward to your next video. You are a great teacher!
Heather White Heather, thank you so much for doing such a nice thing for your neighbor. My Mom is in a residential care facility for Alzheimer's and she, too, was a generous quilter and knitter for family, neighbors, friends and even friends of friends. What a wonderful, thoughtful thing to do! I finally learned to quilt recently (longtime home decor sewist) and gave her my first completed quilt in her favorite colors and she LOVED it. I encourage all the generous folks who are in the quilting community to do things like this. The returns are endless!
Wow! That's beautiful! I was in my local quilt shop today (took in my serger for surgery, haha). Test drove the dream machine and the HQ simply 16. The salesperson commented on how good my stitches looked. I said, "I watch a lot of Angela Walters!"
It's great to watch you do your thing. I do as much as I can on my old Kenmore but I'm limited. Sometimes just watching a quilt become something special inspires me.
WOW!!!! That's beautiful...and your quilting is amazing....I am getting ready to quilt a queen size for my mother in-laws 83rd birthday and it has many fabric colors and designs....you've given me some great ideas...Thank you Angela.
Angela....you could do a full quilt of flub ups....and I'd love it. You are a special gal to me. I love watching your videos. OVER AND OVER. Keep them coming !!!!
Ha! Angela watching only one of you videos is like having one potato chip. You have, have have to watch them over. It's like that automatic thing that makes you reach for another chip.
What a beautiful quilt....and amazing quilting! Your talent and artistry is inspirational and it's clear why Tula has you quilt all her tops. I love your videos - although I admit to worrying that one day your wine might spill. 😱
Angela i am so glad you started his series!!!!! I have an epic quilt to quilt that is 110” square and i do not have a longarm. Its important to me to quilt it myself because it is for my daughter and i started it 27 yrs ago for her! I hav a machine designed for quilting with a
I have a two of your books, and I'm enrolled in two of your Craftsy classes. You never disappoint. I sew...love how you demonstrate different quilting motif's for different blocks. I am almost ready to start quilting my own quilt. Thank you again ;
I need to get a free motion foot for my sewing machine and then learn how to use it but your videos are enjoyable to watch and easy to understand and maybe one day I will learn how to quilt a quilt properly!
You are a rock star in the quilting world! Your videos have inspired me to be more courageous with FMQ. In this video, I especially liked when you stopped in the middle of the plume to show exactly how you created it.
Angela the hexagon quilt is beautiful and your quilting is absolutely inspiring! You make it look so easy but it terrifies me. It's superb. June Bates (U.K.).
You do such beautiful work Angela. You truly are gifted! Love watching you piece and quilt. Would love to see more about how you float your quilt tops and keep tension on it at the front.
What a surprise! I have a 1920's-1930's family quilt using the same pattern as your beautiful Tula Pink quilt. Many of the hexagons and triangles are made up of pieces of fabric sewn together. I assume great grandma didn't have a big enough piece of fabric to be able to cut out the entire hexagon or triangle, so she pieced many of them. I inherited the machine pieced top and hand quilted the quilt using a medium sized and a smaller hexagon shape in each hexagon. Your quilting designs are absolutely beautiful!
I love the way your mind works. So many interesting quilting ideas, and you show it is not as complicated as some would have you believe. thanks for the vids.
When you finish a quilt that size with that many pieces, You do the Happy Dance before moving on to the next quilt. Great job, well done. Hmm, maybe you should have a glass of wine after a job like that too.
Thanks for sharing your sharing your thoughts on how to choose quilt designs. For me, it's the most difficult part of the quilting process. Great quilt!
I love your videos. I have finished two queen size quilts this summer working now on my third one. I have learned so much from watching your videos. I didn't say they were perfect quilts but there done. Thanks to you
I love your quilting. I dream of one day having a long arm of my own, but need a bigger house for that!!! I just had my first try of a long arm in the festival of quilts in the NEC (in the UK) and fell in love. Well I can live in hope. Thank you and keep the shows coming. Kerry
I love watching you at work, you are an amazing artist. and you are hilarious. I hope you maybe one day come to San Antonio, or at least somewhere in Texas. I would love to take a class or just meet you. Thank you for your inspiration, One day I wish to be as great and amazing as you are.
What an amazing quilt! The quilting wasvjust, well, ELIC! I'd love to know how she made the quilt...EPP I imagine. And I'd be so excited to just have ONE of Tula Pink's fabrics, let alone all of them! Thanks for another gem. Incredible work. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I actually went in to my local quilt shop today and ordered the pillow pattern so that I could make it. Then, I stumbled upon your video, and whah lah! Love, love your work and your positive energy! THis was awesome. I have a big Kaffe quilt that I am thinking about how to quilt. This gave me great ideas. Thank you I love reading your books and watching your videos. I can always recognize your quilting.
Unbelievable Angela! You are such an inspiration and I can't wait to take a class from you in November when you come to our guild (El Camino Quilters Guild) to speak and teach!!!!
I was at your shop today in Liberty. Neat town, what beautiful architecture! The ladies there were very helpful. Bought a book, a ruler and some fabric, of course! Oh, and a tea towel. It will never need washing. Hope to learn more from the book, as well as the videos.

Let us all know which machine you chose, and why, if you would. I too am looking for a new domestic machine that I can use for FMQ... it needs to have "needle down" position with a wide throat space, and I don't want anything computerized as I think those won't last as long as mechanical machines. Hope I can find something like that, am always curious what other quilters choose these days if they can't buy a long arm. Thanks! ~Diana from Toronto
My goodness, woman! You make it looks so easy. :) I have a Sweet Sixteen but I'm really just getting to feel a bit more comfortable with it. Pluggin' away is my motto.
Always a joy to watch, inspiring ~ I truly love your honesty and humility regarding quilting. My FMQ is far from perfect, and always will be! Loved a comment you made once about 'keeping your stitches smaller than a toe'; I think of it every time I quilt.
Love the quilt...but really love the way you highlighted each fabric. I am new to long arm quilting...so far I have only stipled. I'm inspired! Thank you.
WOW beautiful quilt and the quilting from you is such an inspiration!!! I've been doing lots of the things you've said and shown and two of my quilts have won awards, so I DO love your videos and continue to make them please!
Great job, I really liked how you used the print for some of the designs. And you weren't too worried about the direction of the print or of the triangles. It still turned out perfect. Thanks Angela. You are continuously building inspiration and maybe I am even a little teeney weeney more confident to try out on my next quilt.
Thank you Angela, for this video. Deciding how to quilt a quilt is the most difficult part of the process. You shared some really wonderful ideas. I also change thread colors to make the quilted stitches more compatible with the fabric. However, I was told in a quilting class that it was a waste of time and didn't really improve the looks of the finished quilt. I disagree with that teacher and am really glad that you change thread colors when quilting. This quilt came out absolutely beautiful. Simply stunning!
Wow. what a load of work. I've just recently purchased my own long-arm machine, and I can really appreciate what went into this gigantic work of art. As always, well done Angela.!
Wow! That's truly gorgeous, and really epic! You, Julie, and Tula? Formidable (French pronunciation for formidable.) Julie's patterns are awesome, Tula's fabrics are imaginative and your quilting is outstanding. Meanwhile, I'm ripping out the quilting I just started. Ugh!
Your quilting is just so beautiful!!! I am just starting out and I wonder if I will ever get that good!!! I love watching your videos. Thank you for giving new quilters like me hope and inspiration!!!
I love the quilting. I love how you are never stuck in a design all over the quilt. Your quilting is as interesting as the quilt itself. Keep up the good work! Amazing work.
My goodness ! You are an epic quilter. Your brain has such memory, like an Encyclopedia Britannica for quilting designs. Its a true gift.
Beautiful quilt! I can see why top tier quilt designers go to you for their quilting … you do an amazing job Angela! What a talent!
I am so very thankful to have found not only instruction but encouragement to quilt. I have learned so much. Videos are invaluable. I am a college graduate, but reading is not like seeing. Your Grandpa would be so very proud of you!!!! Keep up the good work!!
I can't tell you how sweet your compliment is, thank you for making my day!!
I find watching hypnotic - 'you will become a confident quilter' is in my head.
Angela, you are A-MAZ-ing! But honestly, I think part of it is you have the confidence to go for it. I love your quilting and your videos. You go, girl!!! (And tell your kids you are really, really cool.)
I didn't even see the bunny in the quilt - now I can't NOT see it! Your and Tula's work go hand-in-hand; so lovely, spontaneous and fun.
Aargh, Angela Walters is so natural thinking outside of the box. Sure years of experience and learning and Hats off to her! I like watching and learning because my box is needing to open More…haha. Good lesson on quilting.
at night when I should be sleeping, I watch this video because I love to watch the ease with which you quilt!
You are neither talented nor skilled. You are extremely gifted -- a quilt whisperer! AMAZING!
Lm Rohlf She's spent years developing her amazing skills. Please don't belittle her efforts by calling it a gift.
Wow! What a gorgeous quilt both before and after quilting. What a treasure trove of Tula's fabrics, very jealous of that stash. Angela, your quilting is perfect for this quilt. As my 4 year old grand daughter likes to say as she's giving a high five "Good job!"

What can a person say? It's gorgeous and I love the way you quilt. Your so talented girl. Won-der-ful!
Angela, will you be resuming this series? I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in finding it helpful.

The details in these fabrics are gorgeous and you have amplified the beauty with your choices in quilting...indeed epic! Congratulations! Great job.

Wow this makes me so much more excited about quilting. I'm only 21 but I can see quilting in my future for a long time.
I was 23 when I started quilting, it really is a fun hobby!
These "How do I quilt it" videos have helped me breakdown a large quilt to separate areas for quilting. Keep up the great ideas
WOW!!!! That's beautiful...and your quilting is amazing....I am getting ready to quilt a queen size for my mother in-laws 83rd birthday and it has many fabric colors and designs....you've given me some great ideas...Thank you Angela.

That is a beautiful quilt. I can't believe how many different patterns you used for this quilt. It's great how they highlight the various prints.
I am in awe at the "lifetime" stitch count! 90,141,112! Amazing!!!
I need to get a free motion foot for my sewing machine and then learn how to use it but your videos are enjoyable to watch and easy to understand and maybe one day I will learn how to quilt a quilt properly!
I love it when I see a new video from you. Your a star. I Love your idea of going around the elements if they are important. YES YES YES
I'm not a star, lol. At least not until the paparazzi start following me to supermarket! Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate your support!
You are a rock star in the quilting world! Your videos have inspired me to be more courageous with FMQ. In this video, I especially liked when you stopped in the middle of the plume to show exactly how you created it.
Thanks for the ideas. I have enjoyed watching your different techniques.
Super helpful! Now I wish I had a longarm machine!! I do still enjoy quilting on my little domestic though!
That's why I show my videos on all kinds of machines :)

Feels like a tailor made video for the questions I asked. Thanks for the video
Yay!! I have taught so much that I know what kind of questions people ask. 😀
So inspiring. I just ordered my very first quilting machine. It’s a baby lock. I can’t wait to get it to start quilting

I'm not really a fan of hexagons but you certainly made them look good and the fabric is beautiful.
Wow!!! That is one awesome quilt!!! You did a great job with the quilting. And I think the quilter makes the quilt😍💕💕💕
I love watching you at work, you are an amazing artist. and you are hilarious. I hope you maybe one day come to San Antonio, or at least somewhere in Texas. I would love to take a class or just meet you. Thank you for your inspiration, One day I wish to be as great and amazing as you are.

Thanks for another gem. Incredible work. Thanks for sharing it with us.
love the voice over aspect of your video .. we can get your full explanation while watching you quilt :)
Angela, this video was such perfect timing for me, personally. I saw Julie's Instagram post just yesterday, and just knew then that I had to make this quilt with my Tula bits. I actually went in to my local quilt shop today and ordered the pillow pattern so that I could make it. Then, I stumbled upon your video, and whah lah! Love, love your work and your positive energy! You inspire me:) Thanks so much!:)
WOW all those thread color changes!
THis was awesome. I have a big Kaffe quilt that I am thinking about how to quilt. This gave me great ideas. Thank you I love reading your books and watching your videos. I can always recognize your quilting.
I visited in December. Loved your shop. And still smiling that you just happened to be there and I had a chance to say hello. :-)
Wonderful workmanship and instruction!
Thanks so much, I am so glad that you find them helpful!
Unbelievable Angela! You are such an inspiration and I can't wait to take a class from you in November when you come to our guild (El Camino Quilters Guild) to speak and teach!!!!
Wish you could bring this gorgeous quilt to Houston. Would love to see it in person. You are amazing! 👏
I was at your shop today in Liberty. Neat town, what beautiful architecture! The ladies there were very helpful. Bought a book, a ruler and some fabric, of course! Oh, and a tea towel. It will never need washing. Hope to learn more from the book, as well as the videos.
It's huge and beautiful! I'm so impressed with your work. You're an artist!
Angela! you make the part I dread most look soooooo easy. I am in seach of a new machine to make the quilting part of quilt making as much fun as making the tops. Thank you again for all the inspiration -I love your videos
Let me know if you have any questions I can help you with!!
Keep it up, it just takes a little practice!
I think you are a genius! And, wonderfully talented. Your videos are excellent! Thank you so much!
Thank you.

Such wonderful examples of ways to quilt on a variety of fabrics.
Would so much like to visit you and have some quilting lessons, the next time i am in US , you are so good, and always in a good mood
Thank you for your videos - you are super creative in your quilting. I love watching them all and hope one day to be half as good as your are.
The most beautiful quilting job I've seen and Tula pink fabric helps too ❤️🤩
Your amazing. I love watching you quilting. Even though the previous got boring after awhile. This was interesting in that each hexagon was different.
Beautiful very nice colors. I'm loving it 😍😊
Wow. what a load of work. I've just recently purchased my own long-arm machine, and I can really appreciate what went into this gigantic work of art. As always, well done Angela.!
How exciting!!!!! I am so sure that you are going to love it!
You have a wonderful tutorial. You gave me greater perspective on how to pick designs to Quilt.Could you send me some of your energy, please.
I've now got some ideas for a quilt waiting to be quilted!
Holy moly, what a beautiful quilt and you quilting is brilliant too 😀
Ugh!
That was a lot of quilting! Looks fabulous.
Love, love, LOVE! You make it seem SO easy and it always turns out so beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Beautiful! All the detail you bring into this gorgeous quilt!
I love the quilting. I love how you are never stuck in a design all over the quilt. Your quilting is as interesting as the quilt itself. Keep up the good work! Amazing work.
