Spent many years in October doing a one week, F&I encampment on Lake George. While we paddled modern canoes, the rest of our gear, food & equipment was all 18th century. Although we moved around each day, we base camped a lot of the time on Floating Battery island as it gave us a good base of operations and we could easily see the Brits as they were on the hunt for us. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Take care and until next time...be well.
Hey Brother! I don't know know how you do it, but your videos keep getting better each time. I spent time up on that lake as a child, and it was magical. I haven't been there in 50 years but I'm so glad it hasn't lost it's amazing beauty, like so many other places. Thanks for the memories, and God bless you and your family. Best, Joe
You had a beautiful weekend to spend camping on Lake George .Awesome campsite and scenery. Grew up at my Grandparents camp all summer at Loon Lake north of Lake George. Fond memories of getting to go to Gaslight Village as a kid in Lake Geroge.Your friends parents will remember or he will. The ADKS are so special to me . Thanks for another great trip ! Yum on the good food !!!
Actually, I’m old enough not to need my parents to remember Gaslight Village, Magic Forest and even Story Town and Frontier Town. I was extremely fortunate to grow up here, camping at this very site and others for a week at a time almost 40 years ago. Didn’t know how good I had it until I drove west at 19yo. It is a very special place and will always be home to me.
I've never been a fan of Lake George however this video definitely caught my attention. The scenery was impressive and the color spectacular, loved the video.
Man, I always get hungry watching your videos. I'd love to get into canoeing just for the snacks. It seems like backpacking but more like car camping where you one eats well. lol
Man that was a great video. Good job putting the fire out for us, thank you. I still can’t believe it’s one of the cleanest lakes in NY, so many boats and people play there. So again great video but I think it could have been better……. If I was in it 😢
it is amazing how clean the water still is with all that boat traffic. If I lived as close to it as you do I would be there all the time......in the off season. lol We will get together eventually. I'm sure of it
My old neighborhood! I worked fire and EMS there. Thank you for extinguishing that fire👍🏻 I had a couple of great side gigs when I lived there. I worked night shift maintenance at Fort William Henry because I’m a history buff and I had the keys to the kingdom 😉 and I worked at the Orvis Outlet store in LG Village for the employee discount 😂
What an absolute epic trip buddy! The clear water and scenery is something else. Awesome commentary and great camera work, job well done! We will get an adventure planned in the future, cards just are on the table now. Cheers!
What an absolutely stunning lake. I feel your frustration on finding an unattended fire, I’ve found a few over the years and every time it makes me very angry.
Usually there's lots of motor boat trafic on Lake George. Where about did you decide to unload the canoes ? Near the town of Lake George ? Saw a stream boat on the far end .
Beautiful scenery! I love the UCO candle. On chilly mornings while camping I try to stand in the sun while doing the morning chores. I've got a black frogg toggs rain coat that I also use as an outer shell for a puffy jacket that is perfect for soaking up the rays of sunshine. Ok, I've added this to my list of must do's. Do you need a permit or reservation for those campsites during the off season?
The UCO candle is a nice bit of kit! I do enjoy it Good idea with the black frogg togg. Once the off season hits its a free for all! But don't tell anyone
Beautiful colors in this homage to Lac du George! good to see you break out the wenonah wilderness! also notice 'gabby ghoul' on the menu! hahaha, Lol! When is your Doggo gonna make cinematic debut? 😎
I was stunned at the amount of foliage still out! It was amazing. I love the Wilderness! She was just right for this trip. Always feels good to paddle that canoe. Good eye on the food! lol Delicious. I'm not sure when I will get Macy out for a video. Probably not soon though, because she does not like the cold weather that is about to hit us. I wanted to get her out this summer, but it never really worked out.
@@ItsGoodintheWoods Excellent video! I was lucky to get out and go island camping a couple times this year. Had perfect weather each time. So much nicer after labor day. I went in August and end of September. Been living here for 6 years now. I think the Mohicans called the lake Horican.
Great, great video. Quintessential canoeing.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a fantastic time!
Upstate NY is beautiful. Thanks for giving us ideas for our canoe trip bucket list!
The Adirondacks is an amazing place. Lots to explore
Absolutely fantastic Brother!
❤️🤘😎
Thanks man! Much appreciated
Beautiful water clarity and scenery! This was a very enjoyable video! Thanks for sharing Justin!
Glad you enjoyed it! This place kind of caught me off guard.
Thanks for taking us along to Lake George the head water of
Amazing views... and that water clarity... wow! I've always avoided LG too... but late season it looks like a great option. Niko was a riot.
Without a doubt, a late season paddlers paradise! I would have no problem going back to explore more
Wow what a journey you guy’s had. Well done. Thanks
Thank you very much!
Beautiful place. Such a rad little dog lol. Love the zoomy clip. Water looked pretty incredible.
Nico is a very cool dog. And she's only 10 months old. I am sure she will develop into an amazing adventure companion for Tim
@ItsGoodintheWoods she's awesome.

My hometown has many miles of shoreline along Lake George.
Great memories!
I am amazed at how many commenters grew up in that area. Must have been a great place to grow up
@@ItsGoodintheWoods It was. I miss the ADKs, but I don't miss NY.

It is a beautiful lake! Get out there if you ever have the chance to do so. Thank you for watching!
Excellent
Thank you Dave!
The Adirondacks are on my short list - great trip & info as always !
The Adirondacks are amazing. I hope you get the opportunity to visit someday
All the hundreds of times I've been to the Adirondacks I've never been on Lake George! P.S. I'm endlessly fascinated by Tim's moose Ferrari logo!
P.P.S. I feel similarly about Oseetah - heavily visited yet stunningly beautiful and downright fun to paddle!
You must come meet the Queen ❤
That moose sticker is amazing.
I will have to put that on my late season list. Thank you for the heads up
Never seen it that quiet either- very cool. btw you have so many nice boats now, it's cool to see you still get the wenonah out. Nice paddle too, guy.
I love that Wilderness. I will keep her forever. She was just right for this trip.

What a nice video. Beautiful place. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much
row , cast, eat, drink, on Lake george, man!!, how sweet is that, thanks Brother, cheers.
You got that right! It was epic!
Very cool. That’s my area. The northern end is def quieter for the most part.
There was still some boat traffic, but it wasn't bad
Nice 🤙🏻
Thank you
Haha! You know it! Happy Thanksgiving!
I've never been a fan of Lake George however this video definitely caught my attention. The scenery was impressive and the color spectacular, loved the video.
We should meet up there sometime next fall. Worth it
Oh, so beautiful it is. And there’s plenty more within its 6.2 million acres boundary.
Yes sir!!! On both accounts

What a great time and some beautiful country. Neat dog. Take care, Al
Nico was awesome! She is 10 months old. She is going to develop into a great adventure partner for Tim.
i am surprised to see neither of you trying to toss a fishing line in the water. it is beautiful for sure. i'm jealous. opps i just seen your pole.
I tried fishing, got skunked. Tim caught a small mouth
I love your videos man...we don't have lakes like this where I live. Watching these videos are so peaceful. I wish you the best!!!
I appreciate that! Thank you so much. Thank you for your support
Lots to comment on, but I have to give a shout out to that beverage. Herbal mushroom coffee thing looks dank
It is so good! Pretty much my favorite way to drink coffee.
Wow

Welcome to my neck of the woods ❤
Quite nice out that way! What a place to live!
What an absolutely stunning lake. I feel your frustration on finding an unattended fire, I’ve found a few over the years and every time it makes me very angry.
I get so frustrated about it. I try not to, but I do. Thank you for putting out those fires you come across. Much appreciated
Such a great video. Wondering if you can share where you put in for this trip?
Man! What happened to that trillium? Nice video, digging it
The Trillium is alive and well! I wanted a bit more volume on this trip
Very nice video and history of the lake. Where is a good place to put a canoe in where there is little boat traffic?
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed it.
