I’m the same way about hunting! Me and my family are not starving, so passing up the shots you mentioned I agree with totally. You have a very nice setup there. Great video buddy!😊

You have my complete respect for not taking one of those two does; for the exact reason you mentioned. That’s the kind of disciplined grace that you end up benefiting from in the long run. No doubt you feel disappointed in this year’s deer season. But who knows; maybe your unselfish decision with the doe resulted in your not having injured yourself any worse than you did when you fell. Or maybe that Buck responsible for the rubs will have another year to grow before he’s all yours.

Merry Christmas to you too. I don't know about the does. Very tempting, but I fully understand not wanting to break up a pair of them. I'm glad you are better now. accidents happen and you've got to roll with them.

That tent is still lookin good!! Cool SS stove by 3 Ridges, looks like its got secondary combustion but I have too many stoves!!! LOL! Right???? Sitting there watching those 2 Doe, I would have passed on them myself. I know they say the survivor will continue on but it takes me back to a day when I took the largest of a group of 4 one time before dusk and as I sat there waiting for things to clam down one of the survivors was wandering around the woods blaaaaattting for a couple hours and that still resonates with me before taking a shot.

Dude……. I hate that you hurt your Back.
Snow coming to NH means backpacking season is starting for you 😁

So sorry to hear you hurt your back .I grew up with a brother and Dad who hunted. That being said I am glad you just watched the Deer, something made you think more about the nature of it than the kill and thats ok. I know hunting is a population control thing and people enjoy venison as long as that is why they hunt. Love the woods on your property. Merry Christmas to you and your family !

Have you looked into the stove fans? They are powered by the heat from the stove itself and really help to circulate the heat.

Awesome video I'm sorry about your back. I hope you got it checked out....remember what happened to me. I wouldn't have taken the shot same reasons so wise choice. We're those squirrels you were hunting? Lol come to Colorado I'll show you real sized deer and the hugest elk you've ever seen. Awesome video love the leftover food porn lol. Thanks for sharing and of course thank you for all that you do

The doe footage was pretty cool. If you could see them that well, you definitely had a good shot. The regret will be there any time you pass one up right? But sometimes giving them a pass might pay off.

Sorry about your back. I've experienced the same thing so I feel your pain. Glad you're on the mend. One quick question; I must have missed it but would you mind sharing what stove you were using in this video? I'm looking for a smaller stove then my Seek XL and this looks like it fits that bill. Thanks, in advance, for your help. Take care and until next time...be well.

Story of my life is passing on deer. Whether a spike or a doe I generally pass then Nothing will show up lol It’s ok. It’s about being out there and we all get our share of deer eventually over the years. Merry Christmas!

I would off. Anytime i passed up a deer I never got another chance that year. Have a bad back so I know the frustrations there. Do you think that is the right size stove for that tent? Got a Jackery for my yearly purchase this year and next year is a hot tent /stove. Saving all ready. Take care and have a great Holiday season, Al

Stay focused man.. lots of good times to be had with the hot tent and maybe get a coyote instead. Not good eating… but helps the deer herd. Do your physio..you ll heal quick.
The best to you and family

You know I love you brother and you totally made the right decision not to take that shot
But, if you had two 10 mm pistols, you could have been the Josey Wales of deer hunting. 😁

I would have took the lone doe but think your doe season was over? I don’t shoot a doe with fawn either just can’t. Did take a lone doe this year and was big doe. Sucks to get injured with fresh snow bummer. Would be awesome if to have a canvas tent to have on the property during winter. We have 100 acres plus access to 150 beside us. Not it the budget this year but next season will have one. Can tend to it since live there

If I NEEDED the meat from a doe, I definitely would have taken the shot. Just to have some venison in the freezer? No. I would not have taken the shot.
