Is the Nemesis Bridge Pack worth it? Siege Megatron, Netflix Soundwave and Siege Shockwave Review.

- In this episode I compare the Nemesis Bridge Crew 3 pack to their original releases. Is the Bridge Pack worth getting, or should you pick up the original bots?
My guy you do realize that this three pack is produced by takara right? Those jabs at Hasbro are valid (especially for the 5 pack), but aren't really appropriate here. Besides overpriced re releases with more paint apps are pretty much takara's bread and butter. If you want a better megs and soundwave (which let's be honest here, most people want) then we just gotta wait for a new mold from likely ss86. Now let's just hope the designers can get a 'secret' gun mode in there for megatron like they did for Shockwave in siege.
Oops. I have been educated, sir! Thank you. I'm really holding out for both SS86 Megatron and Soundwave. Really hope they manage to get them out before the 50th anniversary!

Well the soundwave has not been confirmed to be a new mold yet like at all I think it may just be the earthrise but with more cassetes

I have the Siege Shockwave myself, and I pretty much have to agree with everything you said. I would have liked for him to be a bit larger, being that he was in the Leader class, but I guess Hasbro in their infinite wisdom thought the extra pieces made up for the $55 pricetag. Still cheaper than the $75 Skylynx, though...
I just wish we could get the gun alt mode for Megatron again. I refuse to buy any of the tank mode Megatrons. It's just absurd. I'd even take one with a freaking orange cap on the end of the barrel (though I would immediately paint it the correct color. Shh, don't tell the police!).
You really don't want to know what I ended up paying for Siege Shockwave. Haha! Only back into collecting in the last 2 years, so had to find the best deal on eBay. Probably overpaid, but I love him!

Indeed! If you don't have any of these guys, it's an awesome way to pick them up. All three have the best decos out of any of their previous releases. Really hope you enjoy them!
Go masterpiece once you get your hands on an MP38 your views will change on all your other figures 3rd party can also give you some amazing options I just picked up a newage Freyr (Swoop) compare it to any official you'll see how we are been ripped off with official lines (despite that I still buy them)

Shockwave's odds to have a SS86 version are close to nada, he wasn't even in the movie
@isaacmora4189 eh... yes he was! Right at the start, he announces Lazerbeaks return from his spying mission. Then at the end he orders the Decepticons on Cybertron to scramble as Unicron attacks the planet.
It kinda looks like Shockwave is killed, as Unicrons hand smashes the surface of Cybertron directly after this. I hope he survived, though. He's a great fella.

I have Siege Megatron and Shockwave but Megatron is missing one back heel which prevents him from keep standing perfectly while I’m missing an arm for Shockwave

@immunecookie0179 Hasbro just announced a G1 comic deco Shockwave. He looks super cool. That could be an option, instead of going for the 3 pack.
Dude, I agree with nearly every word you said. I've gotta tip for you though. It's a nice juicy vague one too! I ran across a mod for megs, that fixes his stability. I did it so long ago, I can't even remember how or what I did. I know I had to disassemble his lower legs, and swap a part between them. I distinctly remember it being easy as hell, and my Megs is very steady on his feet. I got miner megs, as the only other copy of that turd mold, so will need to be doing it again, as the difference is absolutely worth the effort. I thought dude was defective, until I remembered doing that, and yeah, dude's defective lmao. But easy to fix.

If you want to get your hands on a top top top Shockwave with amazing alt mode look up Lemon Tree Purple Potato. One of my favorite pieces and once you see him and hold him you won't care so much about any other shockwave mold
He's the one that transforms into The Revenge (Galvatrons ship from the movie)? That is truly top tier! A little pricy, though. You wouldn't want to buy it for me, eh? Hahahaha!

A fellow comics fan! Yeah, that's true, but this set is definitely based on the cartoon continuity with these decos.
I'm so happy to see the comic deco Shockwave and Grimlock have been announced. Shockwave was amazing in the Marvel comic, probably my favourite version of him. Not sycophantic to Megatron, but to logic itself!
Honest, to the point and hilarious. Subscribed. I've handled both variations of Megatron in the forms of the G2 release, and Miner Megatron. Miner is by far the worst for the cheaply designed ankle pivots alone as they literally feel like the toy is breaking each time. That and his entire arms pull out almost effortlessly. Though essentially the same toy I'm glad this is using the Earthrise as though not great the G2 is tolerable and is somewhat improved. The real stars of the show here are the Soundwave, and Shockwave though they're both getting individual releases later in the year as a Leader, and Comics accurate iteration of which I actually prefer the bridge pack. May not come with Shockwave's extra bits but at the very least there's a Laser beak, and a throne for Megatron. Too bad for him Neca Homelander has already claimed it.

Would recommend! The Netflix Soundwave mold is one of my favourites in my collection (just wish he was a bit taller!).
SUPER worth it for new collectors who missed soundwave & shockwave. I'm passing on it because like you, i part-swapped the decal'd bits onto my netflix soundwave.

Granted I like that you used the toys you own to compare, but all I can say is a true comparison is when the figures are in hand because sometimes lighting in those pictures can fool us.
Quite true! I do think the new decos will be the best looking versions of these figures, though. I just don't think it's worth getting if you already own the originals. Dying for a new Megatron and I think you need the accessories with Shockwave to make him truly special.
If you don't own any of these figures, though, this set is amazing and good value for money.
If you don't have at least two of the four already I'd say yes, but the only one I missed was Shockwave and I'm holding out for the MP (or 3p or at least a knockoff of the MP) of him if I can someday afford it, and making do with whatever the 7" dollar store version that turned into a starship was called until then, because thats all a non-gun Shocky is worth.
Was actually thinking of getting a knockoff MP Shockwave as well. He looks pretty amazing! A little reluctant to start down the MP road.... that way will lead to financial ruin!
Of the three I only have megatron and that one is yellowed so much I might just paint it to emiraat xaaron and replace them all with this pack.
Woah! If you do that, I'd love to see it! The 2 characters I wish we could get modern figures for are Xaaron and Nightbeat. Emirate Xaaron was such a big part of the Marvel comic. I'm surprised we haven't seen more figures of him.

Honestly the best version of siege megatron is the animation version that has cel shading same with siege optimus

Yeah, that Megatron is sweet! The only reason I wouldn't go for him is because the cel shading wouldn't go with the rest of my collection. Plus the fact that the aftermarket price on him and Optimus is extortionate! My fiancé would kill me.

The Nemesis Bridge Pack is available for preorder on quite a few sites (Indemandtoys.co.uk for example). The best bet for the older Siege figures is from eBay or maybe Facebook groups.

@@bobstransformersreviews9058 Blaster is "supposed" to be shoulder height to Optimus Prime, although he is inconsistent across the seasons. Soundwave is shoulder height to Megatron.

I actually brought this up because since Siege HASBRO declared robot mode scale, and Blaster was a departure - and I don't want to say a drastic departure - then Mark Maher said he wanted to 'size Soundwave up' which is technically not correct. So that kind of train of thought. I love all these guys.

Not so much. I do have the Hiss Tank Megatron, though. He's huge and loads of fun to play about with the core class bots!
I hate that Megatron mold. No wrist swivels for the leader of the Decepticons and those nasty ankle tilts. Shockwave is good. Soundwave is... superior, of course. They'll do this easy 3-pack and still do a SS86 version of these guys eventually, to get you to buy the characters again but better. I'm out.
Agreed, 100%. Really don't know if I can resist those SS86 versions, though. My will is weak, and if the upgrade is anything near as good as WFC Ultra Magnus to SS86 Magnus, I'm doomed!
There are alot of claws around toys becoming realistic guns so gun megatron out side of 3P and importing a masterpiece will never happen again unless it’s a nerf gun or laser gun both in stupid colors
I'm hoping beyond hope that there's some way to do it. They did manage to sneak in soundwaves gun mode, so Hasbro could maybe do the same with Megatron. Advertise a different 'official' alt mode, but leave the gun mode for fans to discover.

@lolo27234 true. I'm just being a big kid about it. I still remember receiving g1 Megatron from my Dad when I was a lad, and I'm just hoping to tickle that nostalgia itch. It's probably unrealistic that Hasbro would do anything approaching a realistic gun in 2024, but selfishly, I really, really want it!
