Hey, nice driving. Wanted to get you input on the Trackday Spec pads, I saw on your other video with the Mini you had HP+, wanted to know how you felt about these. Thanks! Great content!

Hey, apologies for the late reply. It's kind of hard to compare brakes on the Mini with the GR86 because the brakes on the Mini are so much more strongly boosted than on the GR, so small amounts of brake pressure on the pedal on the Mini results in a lot of braking at the wheels.
That being said, I always thought the HP+ on the Mini felt like an on/off switch. They had a lot of bite once up to temp and good temperature resistance but it was hard for me to modulate. Again though, I think a lot of that on/off-ness of them had to do with how boosted the Mini brakes were.
The Trackday Spec pads on the GR have been pretty great so far. At the level of driving I am capable of right now they are definitely holding up and have been providing me with full confidence over an entire session with plenty of braking power and easy modulation. I think if you are any faster than I am the Powerstop brakes might start to show some weakness though. I do remember during one of my sessions the day this vid was recorded, I felt like I might have had just a bit of fade going into the bus stop at Buttonwillow. Half a lap of letting them cool off a bit though and I was able to keep sending it on the next lap.
