Thank you for making this video. I’m currently looking to buy a 2023/2024 GR86 and got hit with the exact same feedback from car enthusiasts friends on, “If your not buying a manual gr86, your not buying the fun.” While I agree that there’s a certain charm to driving manual, I can’t see myself daily driving it and constantly having to be engaged on what input is happening to the car. I think one thing that a lot of manual sports car guys for get is what happens when you **physically** can't work a clutch pedal any more? I had a work injury take out my knee to the point that I can probably work a lightly clutched car for about 10 minutes before I loose all strength in that leg. That injury besides making walking a pain to do locked out a lot of cars for me because I couldn't drive them. I also realized that even if my leg hadn't been wrecked I tend to keep my cars a minimum of 10 years or more, I don't want to have to sell a car that I love and have taken car of because "I can't drive it any more." as I age. Automatics have gotten to the point where they are good for all but the hardest driving and if there is enough demand the aftermarket can start to offer transmission tuning and upgrades even for the automatics.

I honestly find it weird people try to justify/explain why they got an AT. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Same with people making fun of people with an AT instead of manual. Why the hell do you care about what I drive? So weird to care about something that has no impact to you. My next car will be be an automatic sport sedan because they’re fast as hell and no manufacturer is making them with a manual anyways. Why cry over a manual?
that’s what i’m saying, why do people care so much about the trans. i drove a manual frs for 6 years. got an auto 3.0 supra and now an auto gr86, no problem with preferring the auto at all
it's gatekeeping, plain and simple. if you don't get a manual, you don't deserve the car, and all that baloney. some people can't drive stick because they can't split their attention enough. some people live in places where they constantly stop-and-start because of short distances between lights or whatever.
I am ordering a 2024 BRZ Limited with Automatic Transmission. Yers I would prefer a Manual Transmission; but it's not an option for me. I had extensive shoulder surgery (right side); so an automatic is a necessity. Glad to hear you like the Automatic.
This was a big reason I placed a preorder for a AT Premium 2024 gr86 instead a manual. I live in LA, I am constantly in traffic, and I plan on it being my daily driver. I would love to drive the manual but I just really dont think it makes sense...
Is this a good first car to get. I've seen a few around my town and I absolutely love how it looks. Im turning 20 in a few months and im saving up for this to be my first car that i've purchased. just wondering if it is a good choice.
This year or next year, I'm going to be buying a GR86 or a Miata still deciding. What I have decided is to opt for an auto. I have over an hour work commute in Southern California traffic. Also just many other reasons I think an auto will be a more relaxing drive all together. Thanks so much for reviewing this beauty in automatic. BTW my current is orange, and I have always hated but, ironically i get a lot of compliments.
I own a 2019 ND2 RF Club manual and I’m also buying a GR86 (not trading in the Miata) and I have test driven the gr86, here’s what I think. The Miata has a way better transmission feel and fun factor, not just the buttery smoothness of the shifting and rev matching etc but also the convertible nature of it. It’s genuinely the most fun car I’ve ever driven or owned. HOWEVER upon driving the GR86 I fell in love with the extra power it possesses over the Miata, not enough to trade in my Miata for it. But enough to turn my Miata into a project car and get the GR86 as well. It’s also a bigger more practical car so keep that in mind! I love both if you’re dead set on auto just keep in mind that the manual is a whole other world of fun and beauty and manual sports cars like these won’t exist for much longer. We have a lifetime ahead of us to get auto hybrids and electrics. Remember that.
To me, AT cars like this seem more fun than a traditional MT. to be fair, I've driven AT cars with paddles like this, but never a manual. But it's just a cool feeling and setup, as someone who's a fan of F1 cars; and F3- like cars like the BAC Mono. Being able to keep your hands on the wheel, and focus solely on the road at all times, while having quick, tactile shifts with the paddles is more appealing. But hey, if you like MT that's cool too. The gatekeeping from some MT people is so snobby and cringe though lol.
Not being to share my sports car with family, roommates or friends, cause they can't drive stick is probably a bonus! I just got an AT 86 since my last manual was a pain to drive in NY traffic.
thank you for acknowledging that not everyone has had the opportunity to learn to drive a manual. no one i know owns one, and i'm not really interested in dropping 5 figures on something i won't know how to use at first and don't know if i would even like it every day once i did
I have a AT FRS and where I live there’s traffic 24-7, and having the chance to drive a sports car without worrying about being tired of the car due to shift gears all day is something I really appreciate. For everyone who has an AT I would advise to get a manual car you like to have a good experience in both platforms.
I have the GT86 with an auto, had it for 2 years as well, the auto box is what i would expect of any car but rarely exists, when in manual it does not shift up for you, it will bash the limiter, it will shift down when it needs to if you "forget to" to save the engine, this car has kinda proved that you can have the same car, but shifting with paddles vs a stick is like chosing what steering wheel you play your racing simulators with.
I bought my 2016 BRZ Premium Auto in 2022. It was a great buy because it had only 13.8k miles on the odometer and a clean title. That and I wanted a first-gen because I absolutely hate the duck-bill spoiler the second-gen has. Even the extra horsepower and torque wasn't able to convince me to get a newer version. I know how to drive a manual - I learned on an '80s Ford Probe. And in this car, in Manual mode with the paddle shifters, I get the control of shifting exactly when I want to, along with the feeling of being directly connected to the engine and wheels, all while not having to tap-dance with the pedals. It's beautiful. I like that you can get to 60MPH in second gear, as it's just under the redline with the 17" wheels and Yokohama AVID Ascend GT 215/45 tires that came on the car (yes, I know that they're not the super-wide rubber bands that everybody likes these days so people think they suck, but I don't care). The only time mine's not in Manual mode is when it's in Park or Reverse. And those tires are great even in Minnesota winters... My new transmission preferences: 1. Paddle-shift Auto 2. Manual 3. Auto
This car is a blast! You can also control it manually using the shifter, not just the paddle shifter on steering wheel. Notice the +/- on manual side of shifter. Granted they are reversed compared to a true sequential gear box, but does the job. Disable all restrictions, put it in track mode, and give it a whirl in manual using the “reversed” sequential manual shift function. And when in LA, auto, cruise, and eyesight will let you rest when in gridlock.
@@ezustnyil8414 It doesn't matter, even if it was faster I'd still say buy the manual. Buying this specific car with an automatic is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.
@@dimitriy4512 it did matter in your first reply.. now just buy manual because... what if someone doesnt care? Just likes the car's look and handling but doesnt feel they need to grab a stick to "engage" with the car.
After driving manual cars and motorcycles for so long, im ready for an automatic. Traffic is a lot heavier these days, im more tired due to long work hours, getting older, and so on. Automatic just makes sense for me. Heck, even considering a tesla for one pedal driving and FSD 🤣
Just a quick note, *track mode* doesn't change the shifting behavior, I noticed you weren't on *sport mode* which does change the way the transmission behaves (you can have track mode AND sport activated at the same time)
Love mine.....a 22 with 27k on mine.....its auto with a cvt.....im old....no more manuel for me....all highway miles....still wonderin if i should drop the pan to check for the oil sump/ silicone issue
I have this one automatic premium cuz im so so so so tired of shifting gears ( specially at the city) or when i am with some girl and driving, i prefer to touch her not the gearbox!
nice car, my brother going to finance this car for his first car, however he chose a 23 camry trd due to it being a 4 door car its very fast and reliable
I bought my Track bRed GR86 Premium AT in July. I was looking for a manual but every dealership I talked with had a 4 to 6 month waiting list for a manual. Also any manuals that showed up on a dealers website were sold as soon as the dealership got the word it was coming. I could have waited but my car I was trading in would have cost me many hundreds of dollars to get inspected in August, it needed a full set of tires. But then this car that I bought showed up on a dealers website and it was everything I wanted exactly except for the auto trans. I called the dealer and was told it was available so my decision was wait six months or more and be offered a car that might not be all I wanted with a manual or get this car todayish, it was built but still in Japan awaiting it's boat ride to the US and wouldn't actually be here for about a month. I decided to get the car that was available and it's been awesome. Don't really miss the manual. It's got almost 6000 miles on it and I have no regrets. The only thing I need to do is disable the fake engine noise which I plan on doing this weekend.
@devoz7 Not at all, considering I worked hard to get my car. I really don't care about your manual experience or anyone's manual experience. I have no reason to care. All I really care about is that I am satisfied with my own car
@@GurenReroll was saying it's straight-up laziness at the fact that you aint even willing to learn manual or even drive one for that matter just because it's too much of a hassle or inconvenient. When there is little to no effort in driving one. You, my friend, have a closed-minded mentality. Kinda sound like that one kid that we all know who said he hated broccoli without actually ever trying it. Drive a manual version of your car, and I guarantee you'll regret buying your auto
@devoz7 I don't think you understand that I am perfectly satisfied with my car. That's what upsets you, because to me and plenty of others, the auto is enough for them and it's satisfying. The fact that you're still pushing your manual agenda on me despite me clearly expressing that I "love" this car tells me that you are the close minded one. You can't accept that people love their autos and it bothers you so much, it's really sad. I at least can wrap my head about MT owners loving their MT cars and can accept that. But you can't even wrap your head around AT owners loving their AT car. So tell me, who's the close minded one here? Also stop calling me friend, when all you've done is attempt to insult me.
@@GurenReroll Difference is I'm actually willing to own an auto and have so before. Plan on my next car being auto. There's nothing wrong with getting an auto, especially if it's a basic commuter car, say like a rav4, corolla, camry, or even a sports car that only offers in auto like a r35 but if your getting a legit sports car that offers both manual an auto as an option your an idiot for not getting a manual. I've owned both types, so I can speak on behalf, but can you say the same. Have you ever owned a manual or at least driven one on a long trip before? I currently work at a toyota dealership, so I've test driven countless of gr86, both manual and auto. Auto in a Gr just feels like a watered-down sports car. You're the close-minded one since you haven't even tried the manual version. You just settled, and people like you are the reason why manuals are a dying breed. Another lazy American
Little late to your question, but I actually traded in my 2020 Mazda 3 for an AT GR86. I don't really miss the Mazda at all for the most part. The 86 is a lot quicker, handles better, and is (in my opinion) better looking. The GR86 does have a noticeably cheaper interior than the Mazda 3 though, so if you're looking for a more premium cabin the Mazda would be the better option. The same goes for the audio system, Mazda's premium Bose system (if you were to go for a model with it included) is orders of magnitude better than the audio system included in the GR86. Really just comes down to whether or not you want a sports car that's built for driving pleasure and not a lot else. Otherwise i'd say go for the Mazda 3.
AT GR86 here. Got it for the automatic cruise control(ACC). And well.. its the least used thing in my car. I’ve used the backseats more than I’ve used the ACC 😂😂 that’s how fun this car is to drive. I’ve put 15k miles in it and I’ve used Cruise Control less than 5 times. If you are getting AT for the automatic cruise control, please… please.. don’t. Get the MT.prob my biggest regret in life.
As a AT owner of the 2013 model 😢 I miss it after the engine blew up do to valve spring failure and the dealership not knowing how to seal it I hope this newer one never have a issues
One more thing about owning an AT is that whenever for some reason you can't use 2 feet when driving, it won't be a problem, I love sending stuff with my mtb and I'm literally leaning more on the AT version even though I'd love the manual. 😂
You can basically override the automatic's gear choices by shifting whenever. It will give you a few seconds of holding whatever gear you chose. But it does swap over to "D" on the dashboard and shits up to the highest economical gear. I notice it loves to shift up to 6th gear immediately when cruising/ daily driving.
I have to say I miss the rev matching in corners! with most cars, with the GR 86 2023 I like both hands on the wheel pulling tight corners. The GR 86 is a DAILY DRIVER RACETRACK EXPERIENCE so fun to drive and its sexy !. This is a car you can buy off the lot and really it needs no mods. This will be the car 2023 to own :)
The best shifters is Honda, hands down, but manuals these days are SO SMOOTH, there’s nothing to really feel. “If you don’t have a 90’s or older Japanese car, you’re not a real car enthusiast” is just as bad as saying “if you don’t have a manual, your not a real car enthusiast”
I may be slow to understand things 🙂 but can someone please explain to me what this car truly is ? It's automatic but at the same time you can revert to manual ? I don't get it... Thanks to anyone who will take the time to explain that to me...
As someone who has had 5 manual sports cars and does not at all mind driving a manual in traffic either, I admit that automatics are nice to have in sports cars. The low weight and handling are still there, which is entirely why we get cheap and light weight sports cars. But removing the ability to shift doesn't take a lot out of the fun as people think. Depending on the automatic transmission used, you can still drift, you can still do burnouts, and you can still be very competitive on a track. The main issue is only for track use. Most automatics are geared for economy and that's with the twins use. I think these deserved a DCT instead. But that would bring the cost higher and likely mess with the whole point of a light weight and cheap sports car. As for the engine, i love the size, its just right for a budget sports car at this weight. But a boxer engine isnt great in a cheap sports car. An inline makes more sense. Its generally more reliable and in most cases its so much easier to work on solo. To anyone who says that it raises the center of gravity, most modern inlines are all alluminum with light weight plastic intakes. They are so light all-around that the difference is not noticable on or off the track. It was a big deal only back when engines were still made of cast iron.
I would only buy an automatic car. I have a really bad back and I don’t wanna be in pain the whole time I’m driving. I don’t have a choice but it’s no big deal like you said the paddle shifters makes it way fun.!
Enthusiasts have to remember that many of the manual cars they enjoy would be discontinued without the help of the majority of people buying the automatic versions. So enthusiasts, stop with the superiority complex.
Living in Los Angeles. and close to turning 50, No way i'm gonna do manual any more. Having had a Manual GTI, the thing kills you in 2.5hr traffic. GR86 auto next.
I think ill spend the extra money and get the 230i w M Sport. Better fuel economy, faster, more spacious interior, better transmission etc. good video nonetheless 🙌🏽
I got the AT in Track bred kuz it's the only one I could get lol. I could've bought a used one, but used was going for as much as a new. and I still had to go on a waitlist for the AT. Plus idk how to drive manual yet. This my first car
As someone who is trying to decide between getting an auto or a manual for my first car, the childish hate against automatics from manual drivers make me more hesitant to join their cause and get a manual.
I owned nothing but manuals for 25 years. If i had space for 2 cars, one would be a fun manual weekender. My daily is also my fun car though so auto was the better choice. Sure driving a manual isn't that hard to do in traffic but it is more of a headache than driving in an auto. A good torque converter or dual clutch is also almost as much fun as a manual on a quiet back road. Don't really care what other people say about my choice. Half of the ones who ask why I didn't get s manual drive autos themselves, and boring, non sporty SUVs at that.
The auto has taller gearing, both the differential and the overdrive are taller than the manual. This is one reason the auto gets better MPG than the manual, but is a tad slower 0 to 60. I would think the auto would also be a better highway cruiser, because it's turning almost a 1000 rpms less at 75 mph. The auto would be quieter and more relaxed at 75-80 mph, and not such an ass whip in stop and go traffic.
How tall are you? I'm 6'4 and afraid I may be too tall to sit in this car comfortably. I haven't had the opportunity to sit in one due to the shortage in my area, but always wanted to try one out
UMM 37K!??!!!!!!!!!! 2022 Camaro LT1 A10s were 36790 which includes destination fee. Jokes on anyone paying that much for a n/a 4 cylinder with a poor modern day sports car automatic transmission today. For anyone wonder the LT1 A10 comes standard with front Brembos, launch control, fancy traction control setting and performance pages, 20inch wheels, manual mode with quick shift paddles (hidden kick down switch with holding left paddle down or hitting accelerator for 1/2 second in sports mode), and staged upshifts in automatic mode along with a performance shift is active feature to hold revs when corning. Both power front seats, wireless apple carplay/android auto, good front bucket seats, remote start, automatic climate control, nice leather wrapped flat bottom steering wheel, and all LED lightning inside and out (except reverse lights). And even crazier is you use to be able to lease these cars for 300/month. They can also easily get 30-35mpg at 70mph. In the city its like 15 though which suck haha. Yes insurance and gas is more, but overall way more car for your money. I mean an LT1 A10 traps 20mph more in the 1/4 mile than a slush box BRZ. I respect automatic BRZ but 37K is genuinely outrageous. At least get an Elantra N DCT for less. This car needs a DCT or a transmission which is similar in speed to the M6. The automatic version is so much slower and you can see how slow the shifts are in this video. For 37K before TTL way more fun cars to hustle down a back road.
Also one could be disabled mentally/physically and can get a driver's lisnce andbut can't drive manuel like me with my ADD-Austim or my grandpa with bearly any feeling in his feet.
People who hate automatic transmissions are the exact same ones that are skinny or fat. Never built lmao🤣. Instead of caring about the transmission care about ur body ☠️☠️ go to the gym
The problem is that the people that want to drive fast with only 2 pedals will opt for an EV more and more. If I'm going to slum it with an automatic a 2.9 0-60 makes it more palatable.
I mean ima be honest 😂. I KNOW paddle shifters and semi-stick isn’t the same as true stick. But the IS200t being my first car has spoiled me Being able to switch over and use shifters for an extra bit of fun while also switching back is just the best of both worlds to me. I know it isn’t true manual, but it’s just as fine to me. Switch over to manual and put it in sports mode and you can have fun
Manual acolytes can't understand that some have different preferences. I hope manuals last as long as possible in new cars but automatics have come a LONG way
The amount of people that think driving manual is a flex is astonishing. Rally doesn't even use traditional stick anymore - sequential or paddles. The future is dual clutch systems. Sorry.🤷🏻♂️

that’s what i’m saying, why do people care so much about the trans. i drove a manual frs for 6 years. got an auto 3.0 supra and now an auto gr86, no problem with preferring the auto at all
it's gatekeeping, plain and simple. if you don't get a manual, you don't deserve the car, and all that baloney. some people can't drive stick because they can't split their attention enough. some people live in places where they constantly stop-and-start because of short distances between lights or whatever.
Learn how to drive it first then you can talk about the car 🤡
@@leong1953 learn how to be a decent human being, then talk about the car 🤡
I am ordering a 2024 BRZ Limited with Automatic Transmission. Yers I would prefer a Manual Transmission; but it's not an option for me. I had extensive shoulder surgery (right side); so an automatic is a necessity. Glad to hear you like the Automatic.
Glad you still get to enjoy a great car!
This was a big reason I placed a preorder for a AT Premium 2024 gr86 instead a manual. I live in LA, I am constantly in traffic, and I plan on it being my daily driver. I would love to drive the manual but I just really dont think it makes sense...
Agree. NYer here. Makes no sense. Start stop. No fun.
so happy u made this video on why ppl should not hate a car because its not manual
1/4 of the people online talking shit about this, that and the other regarding cars, don't even own a car. Buy what makes you happy.
The gatekeeping from some MT people is so snobby and cringe though lol.
you convinced me to get an A/T. nice video
My new transmission preferences:
1. Paddle-shift Auto
2. Manual
3. Auto
And its not a CVT. Thats a plus.
definitely my next car
This car is a blast! You can also control it manually using the shifter, not just the paddle shifter on steering wheel. Notice the +/- on manual side of shifter. Granted they are reversed compared to a true sequential gear box, but does the job. Disable all restrictions, put it in track mode, and give it a whirl in manual using the “reversed” sequential manual shift function. And when in LA, auto, cruise, and eyesight will let you rest when in gridlock.
Ya except the response time is horrific. Just buy a manual lmao.
@@dimitriy4512bro did not read the comment
@@dimitriy4512 all it takes is an add-on, and then its faster than 90% of manual drivers.
Best thing about manuals is that because many people can't drive them, it makes it the best anti-theft device going around!
Very true!
After driving manual cars and motorcycles for so long, im ready for an automatic. Traffic is a lot heavier these days, im more tired due to long work hours, getting older, and so on. Automatic just makes sense for me. Heck, even considering a tesla for one pedal driving and FSD 🤣
I know exactly where you’re driving. Used to be part of my daily commute.
Just a quick note, *track mode* doesn't change the shifting behavior, I noticed you weren't on *sport mode* which does change the way the transmission behaves (you can have track mode AND sport activated at the same time)
Good to know, thanks!
Love mine.....a 22 with 27k on mine.....its auto with a cvt.....im old....no more manuel for me....all highway miles....still wonderin if i should drop the pan to check for the oil sump/ silicone issue
i appreciate u for this
The hate for autos is childish. Why do you care so much about what somebody else prefers. Grow up
cant wait to get mine in a couple months
how tall are you? does this car seem small for someone 6’3?
5'10", I think you'd be tight but okay at 6'3"
@@DailyMotor Alright Thank you!!
Disabling the fake noise is the best and easiest step to do with this car.
People who insult you for driving an auto sports car are generally people who've never had to sit in congested traffic.
As a paraplegic (can't use my legs), I appreciate that sports cars with non-manual transmissions exist. 😁
orange ? I have been debating with my self weather to get an automatic or manual.
Love my AT BRZ, I really never cared about the manual experience. I just really like how the car looks 😮
laziness
@devoz7 Not at all, considering I worked hard to get my car. I really don't care about your manual experience or anyone's manual experience. I have no reason to care. All I really care about is that I am satisfied with my own car
@@GurenReroll was saying it's straight-up laziness at the fact that you aint even willing to learn
manual or even drive one for that matter just because it's too much of a hassle or inconvenient.
I love the 86 ❤ the Toyota gasket glue issue needs to be resolved at production. *the MX5 ND2-3 engine is Bulletproof ❤️
Hello. I am in Las Vegas. Is the GR86 Automatic worth the money compared to Mazda 3?
That's a really nice color!
I drove my neighbors auto. The gears being way shorter than they are would help a LOT.
You said it!!!! I want the performance pack to be available in parts department.
At around the 7:30 mark, what road are you on ?
I wanted a MT but I also didnt want to wait and they only had the auto.
That color is sick man❤
One more thing about owning an AT is that whenever for some reason you can't use 2 feet when driving, it won't be a problem, I love sending stuff with my mtb and I'm literally leaning more on the AT version even though I'd love the manual. 😂
What was happening at this part 9:03 . Manual mode is not enabled but was one of the paddle shifters pressed and a gear still changed?
You can manually shift the gears, where you're just asking the automatic transmission to shift at a specific time, or you can let it shift for you.
@@DailyMotor Thank you very much for your reply 🙂
That's amazing, I really like this car, I think I'm going to get one...
Great review for automatics. I had a civic manual. LA traffic? Not fun. LoL
Couldn’t have said it better
A 2zzge would be an incredible engine to do a swap with.
Agree about supporting the autos etc!
Absolutely happy with paddle shifting, it’s good enough for F1 so…
I can’t drive manual, so this is works for me. It’s just the way it is.
This my first car
very well said and making a solid point on AT
I love that road
As someone who is trying to decide between getting an auto or a manual for my first car, the childish hate against automatics from manual drivers make me more hesitant to join their cause and get a manual.
can i know which type of camera you used?
GoPro Hero 12 Black
One bad thing about this automatic transmission is that my wife can drive it 😭
I owned nothing but manuals for 25 years.
I haven't had the opportunity to sit in one due to the shortage in my area, but always wanted to try one out
5'10". Your height may get cramped.
my son is 6'7" and still fits - not in a miata
Adaptive Cruise Control. With traveling a lot, I do not want to live without it.
I like the ‘local’ videos(?). Like seeing my hometown on a TH-cam car video. LoL . Houghton elementary
Anyone know if the automatic GR86/BRZ pops out of factory tune like on the manual transmission?
Only when you upshift at certain rpms
Nice color
5:36 you definitely ran that didnt you😂
Lol nahhh, just sitting at the light so nothing interesting was happening.
Also one could be disabled mentally/physically and can get a driver's lisnce andbut can't drive manuel like me with my ADD-Austim or my grandpa with bearly any feeling in his feet.
he definitely blew the light at 5:35 lol
I plan on buying either the 86 or Brz and it will be automatic
manual or automatic, all that matters is the fun of driving tbf
Imagine a GR Corolla drivetrain in a GR86 chassis
Mmmmmmm
❤❤😊😊hi it's awesome you don't need to worry about sitting in traffic on the freeway & the city
5:36 Let's guess if Charlie ran that red light or not 😁
People who hate automatic transmissions are the exact same ones that are skinny or fat. Never built lmao🤣.
Instead of caring about the transmission care about ur body ☠️☠️ go to the gym
Can u drift the auto?
The problem is that the people that want to drive fast with only 2 pedals will opt for an EV more and more. If I'm going to slum it with an automatic a 2.9 0-60 makes it more palatable.
I'll take a 911 PDK, all day everyday twice on Sunday.
I mean ima be honest 😂. I KNOW paddle shifters and semi-stick isn’t the same as true stick. But the IS200t being my first car has spoiled me
Being able to switch over and use shifters for an extra bit of fun while also switching back is just the best of both worlds to me. I know it isn’t true manual, but it’s just as fine to me.
Switch over to manual and put it in sports mode and you can have fun
i am a manually driver, I wouldn't buy a auto GR86, but i hear you and you made a lot of sense.
Manual acolytes can't understand that some have different preferences. I hope manuals last as long as possible in new cars but automatics have come a LONG way
It's a great car and too each their own but it would just feel criminal to drive this car without clutch and shifting.
I mean, having a CVT kills the joy of a sporty car nowadays.
The amount of people that think driving manual is a flex is astonishing. Rally doesn't even use traditional stick anymore - sequential or paddles. The future is dual clutch systems. Sorry.🤷🏻♂️
People that cry about automatic not having driver input should go back to Horse and buggy.😅
if only there wasnt that issue with the RTV
I have mine for 2 years
No RTV issues
