    The decathlon really interest me, Im a junior in high school so there is no decathlon event for me but it looks very interesting.
    Im a one of our best sprinters, I’m sort of in a three way tie for best triple jumper and I’m average at polevault but I never train for PV because my main focus is TJ, but I’m only 5’8.
    I realized that I wanted to do the decathlon when I heard the coaches debating on if I should do high jump (they decided I shouldn’t) the coach said “he’s good at every event but he can’t do them all, we need to pick his best” and that had me thinking on “what if I could do every event”

    Great work! Did you do anything specifically to train for the 1500m? I'm not sure if decathletes go on long distance runs like 1500m and other middle distance runners do

    Great training! Good luck at the first dec of the season! How were you able to find a post-collegiate training group for the decathlon?

      I had a burning desire to train after college, searched everywhere and found a way to make it happen.

      Train 6 days a week, and maximize recovery

      It went great. I just found videos on IG, contacted the coach and moved to that state.
