I have to add my 2 cents. This seems to be a great warm up for all you right hand, even if you are just a middle or index finger picker. Dexterity is everything and you can see that in classical techniques. It never hurts to have and extra finger hanging around above the strings
Hi Kevin, Vicky, and Maggie May. I've been subscribed to your channel for a wee while now, and I find your videos so helpful, but for some reason, this one has just come up in my feed. What a fab video. My finger picking leaves a lot to be desired, but this made it so easy. Thank you Kevin, you really do help me with my playing, and I appreciate your videos. They're the best 👌
Enjoy your Channel. As a retired drummer of 35 yrs. And having taken lessons and given them I’d make one suggestion on the Metronome setting. If you have never fingerpicked before-like me-I would kindly suggest setting the Metronome at 40bpm in 12/8. Keep up the fine work Kevin.🥁🎸👍
Thanks, Kevin. Did you mention the importance of moving the finger first to the root of the next chord? Very important or you will never do well with finger style.

Thanks, Kevin. Did you mention the importance of moving the finger first to the root of the next chord? Very important or you will never do well with finger style.
I did not. Great tip!
Can you play this with the A and D chords as well?
Yes. A would be a 5ths string root and the D is a 4th string root.
So when you’re doing the Em, you don’t use any of the fretted strings? You could actually put your left hand in your pocket and play it?
Lol. You got it :)
Hey kevin do have any song with this fingerpicking
I think a couple of these do th-cam.com/video/u_HHnSuXB1k/w-d-xo.html
Thank u ❤️🙏🏻
Great job Kevin. Yours is not exactly the same, but it reminded me of REM's Everybody Hurts intro. Have you done any REM lessons yet?
R.E.M. is one of my favorites! and this is a pattern you can use for that great song. Find the lesson here: th-cam.com/video/R6MoOVf2lRQ/w-d-xo.html
Great lesson! What kind of for dog is Maggie Mae?

Hi Vicki
Vic says hi back :)
Hi Kiv. You seem to play at the same bpm. Can you tell us what it is. Thank you.
For this lesson it is 65 toward the end of the video when I’m using the metronome.
Can u plssss make a vid on bar chords
On the list :)
@@Relaxandlearnguitar thank you sooo much😊
Why do you play e minor none of the strings are involved are they?
Correct. But unlike greeting it anyway as it is part of the chord progression.
bybthe way im guy from north ontario canada
What do i need to do my pluck ,, u can hardly hear. Lol
try plucking a little harder, or maybe using a thumb pick/growing out your nails a bit.
Hi Kev. I meant on your strumming in general. Not fingerstyle.
Ohhhh. I would say about 70 bpm is my usual speed
Wise man say …. can’t help falling in love
Lol. Sounds like it!
