    Kevin ur showing ur teaching skills to high level for ur beginners. My hat is off to u. Anybody reading this as a beginner on guitar. As a beginner myself I wanted to be able to play all those songs I loved that I heard on the radio. Oh boy .. I was wrong. I needed to go thru basic training. Once I got thru that. Kevin and a whole host of teachers made me who I am now. The best advice I can give to anybody that wants to play an instrument don't give up. It's in ur heart. Go for it

    I wish I didn't have the attitude when I was younger that playing less than a "full chord" was being lazy and not learning the chords. I started back in the 80's with a rock barre chord chart poster that laid out the E and A form barre chords. I hope everyone who watched this also picked up that moving down 1 string using the d g and b string, g string is now the root, d string 5th and b string 3rd, 5 1 3 and flat the 3rd for minor, now doubling the amount of chords or places to play them to change tone and or put more chords closer together on the fretboard. Great lesson and I could not help but add the A chord to the mix because it's right there and pretty much the same pattern just moved over 1 string. My take away was a new to look at something I should have seen years ago and I got a better understanding of the relationship of the noted, scales, and chords made from the scales and how they "fit" together musically. Thank you.

    Absolutely the best simplest explanation of triads,, ( for a beginner) I’ve heard 🤟 thank you. Could you do a version 2-3-4 etc for all of the possible triad shapes,. I would love to memorize all the shapes or at least how to think through each process, then I could discover how to form and find them myself. Thanks again, you have a great approach to learning guitar ✌️✌️

    Im only a few months into my guitar playing and I often get so discouraged and frustrated with chords and scales... also impatience. Your channel has been the first one to break things down in a simple to understand way. Most other channels come at you with all this music theory lingo that us beginners arent going to understand... or they just go way to fast thinking you should learn at the same speed as they did.

    From all the tutorials I have seen, this has not been brought up. Maybe I missed a basic, fundamental lesson. But EADGBE (standard tuning) is part of the triad. I got confused in the beginning, not realizing this.
    When I do the open Em, pressing two notes, I am wondering why I am only pressing two notes and not 3(triad). Then I realized since you need to lower the 3(G#) by a semi tone, that G is something you can't press.

    • @Relaxandlearnguitar
      @Relaxandlearnguitar  ปีที่แล้ว

      The 3 notes in the Em triad are E G and B. So the open E string is the third note.

    Thankyou Kevin --but Why are you playing the F Major normally on the 1 st fret --whereas the chord diagram next to you shows the second fret as the F triad -top e string root ---2 nd fret ? must be an error surely ? 2 min :42 ----time elapsed -rest is superb --well done !

    For u beginners out there. Take ur time. Strengthen ur fingers musclecly and callously and then u will be on the road to dexterity. My advise to u beginners. Take ur time but don't give up.... I grew up with music at a young age. I remember seeing a piano at my grandmother's house at the age of 6. I blasted the keys making no sense as a child. At the age of 9 I could play songs

    If you wanted to fingerplay triads what’s the best way to incorporate bass notes?

    • @Relaxandlearnguitar
      @Relaxandlearnguitar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would just fingerpick the 3 notes of the triad. Do you mean adding in a bass note on the 5th or 6th string? Or even 4th. If so it would depend on the triad but you could add a bass not with your thumb and finger pick in 4/4 time.

    • @jeffrey3498

      @@Relaxandlearnguitar Thanks, yeah, the singer/ songwriter solo acoustic thing. A silly question on my part I suppose. Just have to find a bassline that sounds good and get my thumb and/ or index finger working. Thanks again!
