First, it was RaTaTaTa at Fox_Fest. Now this?! Two big surprises happened in a short period of time in Japan, and I feel extremely lucky and happy to have seen them both. I already had a good vibe coming to this event due to Unlucky Morpheus's concert on Fuki's birthday three days ago. I've never seen her so happy, smiling like that. They performed new songs and announced they will be doing the opening song for a new TV anime series in mid-July. Things have been going great since Fox_Fest.🤘😂🤘
I had a similar experience in Vegas at the Sick New World Festival recently. Of coarse Babymetal was playing there. Second time in 6 months them playing in Vegas which was crazy. Anyways after their epic performance no suprise there. I was like so now what. We went over to SlipKnkot performance who was also performing. Then who do I see back stage but Su-Metal Moa & Momoko rocking out to SlipKnkot. I was like no f*** way. Then a bit later at Bring Me The Horizon's stage. Litterly almost getting crushed just getting over there. I was like damn wish Babymetal showed up to perform Kingslayer. As though the Fox gods were answering my prayers. Ladies make a grand entrance with Oli on stage. The entire f**** place went nuts. This was only the second time Kingslayer was performed live since Next_Fest in Japan last year. 😭 As though that wasn't insane enough. Now we hear Babymetal is opening for SlipKnkot at a later performance I died on the spot. R.I.P. 🪦 Great time to be a metal fan! You guys were so lucky as well. 🤘🦊💕
I was there. I got a pick from someone in BandMaid. Not sure if it was bass-Misa pick or maybe guitarist pick. I'm just happy for seeing the warning finally after all these years. Thank you band maid for inviting them. Off to see TW again in Shibuya tomorrow. So yeah one of the best shows in my life too. Only LOVEBITES last year was better 😂 and just a small thing but I noticed that Pau's vocals were too low so even when see san completely on her own she felt buried in other sound. It was a shame cause I know how good she is and how important her vocals are for many songs like Disciple etc
A pick with a skull pattern? Then Misa’s pick. Watch “Unleash!!!!!” MV where Misa stands with the pick by a pillar. If it has a shark or a pigeon or “39”, it’s Miku’s pick. If it has a heart, it’s Kanami’s pick.
It's pigeon with Po! 2023 and a rainbow colored necktie thing. And a red kind of little ball on the head of the pigeon. Yes. It might have been Kanami pick then
@@jonnnnnnnnnnnny2It's Miku's. Kanami's just has her signature, which looks like a heart with some Kanji, on one side & the BAND-MAID bow logo on the other.

Not unless the guitarist ups her game. The drummer and bass are excellent but the guitarist is just average. Too bad they didnt have a sister that could play lead.
I kind of wonder how your guys are measuring being big or the greatest in music. The formats for enjoying music have changed a lot. Is a young band like Måneskin that after just 3 albums have an similar amount of monthly Spotify listeners as Metallica, big or small in you mind? Or is it all based on what you personally grow up with? Some bands popularity was also not really shared between Europe and N.America. Like I don't remember to ever having heard Rush played on the radio here.
If anyone can keep up with bass legends, it's Ale. So underrated. Give it a decade, she'll go down in the books of greatest bassists of all time. At 19 she's a badass, and she'll just get better. Cliff Burton in the making.
What's funny, to me, is that The Warning didn't post many shots of them with Band-Maid, over the past 10 days. I was thinking our hopes for a collab weren't going to be met, because the sisters seemed too busy touring the country to have any time to work with Band-Maid. ... But I guess they found time.
You are correct, John. Since the first time I checked out the Warning, I've thought the sky is truly the limit. They're like no other band I've ever seen or heard.
@JohnReavesLive is definitely speaking in the afterglow of a great experience. The hyperbole is off the charts--The Warning as the next Metallica? I love DPA (Patreon backer, going to three shows this summer, including VIP meet and greets), but they will probably never reach the heights of Metallica, through no fault of their own. They have immense talent for songwriting, for their instruments, and for live performance, and a cohesiveness they were literally born into, but the world has changed. Rock is marginalized as a genre, and the biggest "rock band" in the world at the moment, according to streams, is Imagine Dragons, who, in my opinion, are hard pop, at best, leaning on hip hop beats to prop up their songs. There will probably never be another Metallica--a hard rock/metal band that crosses over to the mainstream and becomes a household name. Sad, but true. And even less likely now as we enter the age of AI music. 🤮 Long story longer: Dany is a fantastic front person for the band--great voice, which continues to improve, tasty guitar licks, and engaging showmanship and professionalism. I understand John's enthusiasm, but time to pump the brakes on grandiose comparisons! Just enjoy them for who they are--a young band with a passion for performing and the skill to back it up.
TW are great in an lot of ways and good songwriters, but I don't hear and see the distinctness it mostly takes to go really big in the mass market. A band like Måneskin got huge playing rock, because they combined good catchy songs with having some edge in their behavior.
