That's the Warning, the perfect combination : influences, creativity, intensity, passion, but at the same time delicacy and melody. I've never heard a band that brings it all together at the same time. That's why i say that they can unify all generations and all "labels" of Rock.
Ale actually came up with the bass riff that led to them writing this song. It is the first song of their concept album Queen of the Mudrder Scene. Wtitten, performed and released when they were 13. 16 and 18.
I love how The Warning compose their music exactly in this balance you are talking about: how they play the music, how they sing - it is all about the song and it's meaning and not to make anyone stand out or show off insane technical skills. I don't doubt they have the technical skill, they just place the music first.
The Warning Dany - lead guitar player and lead vocals Pau - drummer and lead vocals Ale - bass and backup vocals Triumph Rik - lead guitar and lead vocals Gil - drummer and lead vocals Mike - bass and backup vocals All six are super talented musicians
This is the song that made me a The Warning fan. Specifically, the youtube clip of their live performance at the Lunario in Mexico City in 2018 (yes, more than five years ago). It absolutely blew me away. Only later did I learn that Ale wrote most of the music for this song, particularly that hypnotic bass line, when she was, like, 13.
Great reaction! Absolutely EPIC live performance!! These sisters are overwhelmingly talented! They are the best power trio of XXI century! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
Pau is REALLY at her best on more sensitive material. Listen to 23, Breathe, and Revenant to understand how great Pau is as a singer. Also, listen to her sing Radiohead's Creep solo at the piano. It may be the best of all of the many covers of this classic song. The Warning may be the best songwriting band ever. If you look at their mature period beginning with the Queen of the Murder scene, ever single song is worth a listen. You and I will have our favorites, but you'll never hear a bad song or a filler. The Beatles have a catalog of great songs, but I don't think every song they did after they becaume popular was really a winner. And as time went by, how much was The Beatles and how much was George Martin. What they do share with The Beatles is writing songs swith hooks or earworms that you find yourself singing in the shower or humming while folding your laundry. There are or were more technically adept bands (Rush, Band Maid) but very few of there songs give you something to sing or hum on your own.
Edward “Lalo” Plaza is their sound engineer normally and is listed as the Production Manager for this show and if you see TW live at most shows, he and the sister’s father Luis are responsible for that wall of sound. However, I believe that Beto Ramos is the gentleman that deserves the recognition for the audio production as he is credited as the Sound Mixer & Master of this concert, as it pertains to the videos released. Beto is an excellent drummer in his own right (the band Jumbo and 6x Latin Grammy winner for production) and actually sits in for Pau in this concert when she goes up front to sing the song Narcisista in Spanish. Beto is a drum mentor to Pau and Pau credits him with first suggesting and then helping her learn and setup the Ableton software they use onstage.
To paraphrase St. Lemmy: “They are The Warning. They play ROCK N ROLL!” Amen. I don’t know what’s better The Warnings music or your breakdowns of it. Ok, it’s The Warning of course! But hey, you’re right there with them so kudos! 😂 Anyway, I love your reaction/reviews. Best on You Tube. Keep on rockin & keep on The Warning.
That's two reactions in a row that your philosophical musings have resonated on a molecular level with me. 🤯 🎉🎉🎉🎯 I find myself agreeing with everything you say. Fun fact: most The Warning songs begin with that incredible bundle of energy (Pau) on a piano pulling the melody and rhythm from the Aether. Great job again. I'm 63 years old next week and apart from the supergroups I grew up with like The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Queen I have never been so enraptured by a group. Great job sir. I LOVE THIS BAND !! ✌️💖🎼
@danieljodrey - could not agree More! What I find fascinating is that The Warning has yet to compose a song based 12 bar blues. I love the blues, I love The Warning...but I'm trying to remember what other bands I've been a fan of that did not base their songs off blues progressions. Cheap Trick was the first to come to mind!
Watched many bands throughout the 90s and most if not all do not come close especially after seeing The Warning DPA Goddesses live. Incredibly amazing!
"Harmonize" together with "The Warning" results in a song name: Revenant. Distinct, almost instrumental, another one where the lead vocals come from Pau and are supported by the angelic harmonies of Dany and Ale. It always brings a tear to my eye.
I think this is still my favorite song. I love all the warning songs, but I still think this is my favorite. It’s just a masterpiece in composition, singing, harmony, music I love it.
Another great analysis. My favourite group next to Nightwish. Pau always blows me away, she is all power and emotion in your face. Dani is perfect as a front woman and guitarist, obviously very talented and her vocals have matured over the years. Both Dani and Pau are to the fore, they easily draw me in. Then there is Ale. On stage she is more the introvert as far as voice goes, mostly keeps to the background but having watched her over time including videos where they are at home, playful and relaxed, Ale isn't shy in any way. Her 'quietness' if I may call it that adds to her mystery. Yet, when one really listens, one hears brilliance on the bass, almost lost in the 'chaos' and 'power' around her. This group of exceptional song writers, vocalists and musicians are needed right now to keep the heart and soul of rock 'n roll alive. They draw upon their influences and mix to merge in a modern day anthem of brilliance. Also, their humbleness and ability to connect with their fans is awesome. Very rare. They live their music. Cheers, Rich
💥Pau💥 that's your Rock Drummer of the year at the 2023 Drumeo Awards . Yep... I loved your comments & break down of this sound & band.. truly extraordinary. Thanks for bringing awareness to this awesome band. 🤘🎶☮️
Dany, Pau and Ale have the utmost trust in each other. They know that each of them will do their parts to perfection. There are no distractions- just balance and perfection.
gr8 reaction ... yeah you already have a deep understanding of what you are witnessing ... they are a once in a millenium treasure ... they compliment themselves so well ... namaste from canada ... r0ck 0n ... twa ... \m/
A few days ago my wife chided me about becoming a "groupie" in my 70's. I corrected her on that by telling her that, no, I've become a fanboy in my 70's. First time since I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 when I was 14. And you are absolutely correct about the drive and energy of this song (and every song they do) corralled within almost perfect musical technique.
I, too, am in my 70's. And like you, I experienced it all from Elvis to the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, etc. I haven't been this excited about a band in I don't know how long. They have it all to become a superstar band. As far as I'm concerned they already are. They are excellent musicians. They are very creative in their song writing. They can't seem to write a bad song. And finally, they have incredible stage presence.
At the beginning when Pau starts signing you can see she plays with one hand while she fixes something with her left hand, without missing a beat and signing at the same time. What a pro. 🤯
Great reaction and analysis! I think some people outside of TWA might question why Pau was nominated and voted Drumeo’s 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year (against some tough competition), but you touched on it when you mentioned only a handful of famous drummers who could sing lead while playing flawlessly. Throw in the fact that she is the initial songwriter and composer for the majority of their original songs and it is evident that she has a rare skill set. Plus, she is just fun to watch performing. 👍😎
*Dust to Dust* *Dust to Dust* is the intro song on DPA/TW's _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ concept album (aka QOTMS)... it is inviting you in to hear the deep, dark, and foreboding story of a young woman apparently in love with someone that doesn't even know she exists... it follows her battles between good and evil over her soul... the Spanish speaking part is their manager, Rudy, playing the part of a preacher at the funeral... translated to English, this is what he says... Brother! Salvation is something that is earned! Let go of your hand of resentment and Wake up to a new light within you Although your brothers try Plunge into the darkness DPA/TW's _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ (aka QOTMS) is one of those concept albums best experienced by listening to it from beginning to end in order... listening to each of the songs piecemeal and out of order is like trying to figure out a movie by catching a portion near the end, one from near the beginning, and one near the middle... yeah, it won't work out very well... their performance of it at Lunario was the first time the album was presented in full to the public... it had been released over time in chapters of three songs... i like Lunario because it was the first public performance, the animations on the big screen behind Pau, and the girls were in character... others prefer their presentation of QOTMS at another venue for various reasons... as a concept album, many of us members of TWA can easily see QOTMS as a movie or Broadway stage performance... it is that good and to think it was written by them at a very young age and released as their 2nd album! i mean... whoa! who does that?? 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Yes, Lunario is the best performance, to see how Dani takes on the role of the Queen is mesmerizing. The thing I did not like about the Foro Di Di concert was the technical difficulties they experienced. It made me sad seeing that happen to them.
@@SDsailor7 was tradition man jaja. They joked with it a lot as part of the experience. That had lead to truly remarkable performances through the technichal problems (even in Teatro Metropolitan concert)
Mr Clark, your body language during the song was enough to get me to like and subscribe! I also get a physical reaction when listening/watching DPA. Usually tears, often a huge smile, I even sit quietly wondering if what I just heard/saw is even humanly possible! Something happens to ME, through THEM! I'm in it till the end! Long Live DPD, The Warning 🤘⚡🫶
Guess who just announced their upcoming 2024 European tour dates! They have a lightning bolt in their band name. If you guessed AC/DC, you guessed right. Maybe my new favorite band, opening for my old favorite band, can happen? 🙏 🤘⚡️🫶🇲🇽
I can still never figure out why she isn't gassed after that spoken word breakdown while she's furiously drumming and then transitions into that soft singing. Her cardio must be off the charts.
@@NoSmokingDogs She's also been doing it since the very beginning of her drum lessons, at around 7 years old. Her teacher initially had her sing and play simple children's songs, starting day one. She's kind of never _not_ sang while drumming.
Great reaction! Excellent commentary. Pau sings lead on about 20% of their songs (about 10 songs out of 50) and co-lead/backup/harmony on most of the rest. They are sisters so when they sing together they have that "family" voice blend that is always amazing. It is always chilling when the three of them sing together. Also, they work on their vocals and all of them can sing in different styles and voices. Dany can go from a rock growl to a pop voice. Pau can sing sweetly or roughly and rip your heart out either way. Ale can sing anything her sisters can including lead, although she does not like the spotlight.
As others have already commented, this song is from the girls' concept album, Queen Of The Murder Scene released in 2018. The album's songs were WRITTEN when Ale, Pau and Dany were 12, 15 and 17 years old, respectively. That means that the basslines you're hearing were created by a PRE-TEEN. Ponder that for a moment! When asked in a 2022 interview, Ale confirmed that, not only is this song's bassline her favorite that she's come up with, but also that she's responsible for the bulk of the song's composition. Again, think about that for a minute! A 12-YEAR-OLD basically wrote it! Mind boggling!
@@SDsailor7, Pau had a few very limited snippets of chord progressions, melodies and song ideas saved to her phone a bit earlier on from which she drew for the QOTMS compositions, but nothing concrete. Mainly though the bulk of the writing happened two years after they all attended the Berklee College of Music Summer Youth Program in 2015, when they studied music theory, composition, (some) voice as well as further individual instrument training which they initially started at ages 6, 7 and 8. I firmly believe that their studies at Berklee were key to the phenomenal songwriting prowess of QOTMS.
@@gregoryvlchek269 But they had already started writing music , Ale's bass teacher (Pabola) also taught all of them about about song writing and each was tasking with a song writing project there first album "Escape the Mind" which at first was these compositions' they made never intended to be released but when they played the songs on social media they were begged to release them by fans so they did ,I'm sure that Berkley helped though.
What blows my mind with Paulina and the back of house production is the wizardry that is done to provide her clean vocals while filtering the drum sound through her microphone. Truly insane
Two years being absolutely obsessed with the warning, but you sr , you just gave the best analysis of the band I’ve heard. Thanks (and I’ve heard all the internet) thanks
Redundancy. Yes. I’ve run out of words to describe The Warning. I sound like a broken record or in a loop in my words of praise. I have used ‘helicopter’ to describe Pau. There are moments with Pau drumming where her arms are a blur, like the rotors of a chopper.
And when she had her long hair it looked like she would take off like a helicopter. First time I saw TW was the TEDx 2017, and when they played Survive....I lost it!
Pau is also the main songwriter. She writes on the piano. Her lyrics are deep. Her drumming is top-notch. She also programs all the Ableton Live tracks. Pau is a genius.
If you really want to blow your mind, think about how old they were when they wrote this song. This is from their second album, a concept album called Queen of the Murder Scene, and Dust to Dust is the prelude to the story that unfolds in the album. When this album was released, Danywas 18, Pau was 16, and Ale was just 13. They wrote these incredible songs when they were just teenagers. Talent doesn't even begin to cover it. Gifted would be a better word. ⚡
Im so glad you mentioned Ginger Baker. I myself hear Ginger in a lot of Pau's playing. Ginger never gets enough credit because Cream had Bruce and Clapton. But Ginger was phenomenal
It's seems being able to play the drums well means you have to split your brain in to four parts, one of each limb as they're doing different things. Then you add singing to it, and breathing. Pau is absolutely brilliant in what she does!
Thank you again for this, your reactions are like poetry to my ears, and thank you for continuing with TW, these sisters are incredible in what they do, the result of a lot of hard work, dedication and love for what they do. 🤘⚡
Dude, your reactions are off the charts amazing! If feels like you’re in my head. You get it. You put into words what I’ve been noticing but unable to articulate. Bravo. Please do more of The Warning, you will not be disappointed.
It's even more impressive that the album this song is from was written and recorded when they were 17, 15 and 12 years old, or even younger as far as the writing goes. Agree their sound man does a fabulous job.
Ale is the metronome for the band . During rehearsals Ale keeps the other 2 in time . . Danny and Pau both aknowledge this . . Even on stage if they stray of by a little shel get them back . . . Have subbed . . .twa . .
I would really be interested for you to watch their interview with Allison Hagendorf to hear you thoughts, so if you ever be interested in reacting to stuff like that, I'm there.
I honestly believe The Warning will single-handedly bring rock music back to main stream status. Yes, there are other good rock bands out there but none of them seem to have that “it” factor of which The Warning obviously have. I say this because I personally know of several people who have never liked rock music, or even considered listening to it, end up liking and following The Warning. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
First song and prologue of the Album Queen of the murder scene released in 2018 . Ale wrote the bass line when she was about 12 Ale has the perfect pitch she is the human metronome (Pau said in a masterclass she diid Ale sometimes scares her because she is always on time It's Beto Ramos former pau's drum teacher who made the sound mixing and mastering of the show
I appreciate your thoughts on this song but more importantly the band overall and couldn't agree more. I'm a rocker from way back and TW have brought me back to my roots. I don't care how they are labeled I like what they do and how they write their music with meaningful lyrics including the hooks and riffs which are excellent. They are fun to watch because they have so much fun performing it's contagious AF. Thank you this was very enlightening and smart. 🤘
Speaking of 'superlatives', I like how you described Dany's closing vocal note as 'the cherry on the cake.' You mentioned the sound achieved in the recording of this song. In fact the sound for this performance came straight from the soundboard. You mention a guitar hook which Dany plays throughout this song. If you mean the guitar hook which starts out as the bass line, then it was Ale who wrote that hook. Ale opens with that bass line, and Dany then doubles it through much of the song. Ale has even said it's her own favourite of the bass lines she's written (and is my favourite too). I feel as you do about drummers. I've even commented elsewhere how I was originally impressed by drummers such as Bonzo, and Ginger Baker (Moon too), and more recently by technical players like Gavin Harrison (and Neil Peart) - but I find Pau to be my favourite drummer to watch and listen to today. Indeed, all three of these sisters are simply amazing players, and together are great songwriters and singers. I'm so glad you are of the same opinion. Thanks, Eric!
Hey Eric, Dust to Dust is the first song (Prologue) to The Warning second album, called Queen Of The Murder Scene. This album is a concept album written by pre-/mid-teens (Ale, Pau & Dany). Pau came with the idea, when Dany and Ale show the first outline, both said "Wow, so much blood, less fix that".And, that is the way they work, all 3 of them work together on everything, lyrics, drum fills, bass lines, guitar riffs - and they are very opinionated, so 2 votes win. Ale has said Dust to Dust is song with her biggest fingerprint. Dany sings the last notes, because cannot reach these notes, so they seamlessly switch. You are right about it being rock - they mix genres as they please - in QOTMS, they actually incorporate K-pop elements, Chearleader Punk, Punk, Heavy metal (the title song QOTMS for example) Hard rock and more ... the whole album was a key change experiment for them.
You owe it to yourself to check out Disciple live at Teatro CDMX. Pau throws down a great fill while singing at full throttle. It is a banger that if just absolute fire!
Great reaction and comments Eric....glad I found your channel and have subscribed. The sisters refer to Ale (Bass) as a human metronome...she is the ultimate time keeper. There is simply insurmountable talent on display here. Viva The Warning!!! ⚡⚡⚡⚡
Brann Dailor from Mastodon is also another massive drummer who does vocal duties as well. Maybe not as incredible as Pau but nonetheless he is also great.
Eric, the fact that you don’t have a million plus subs is criminal! Sadly those who act like clowns with all fluff and no stuff and absolutely no music knowledge are what a short attention span majority of people gravitate towards. Thank you for your well thought out and insightful analysis of the first band to get me excited about new music in decades!
Enjoyed your reaction and review of The Warning Dust to Dust. The warning rabbit hole is deep. I'm sure The Warning army will fill you in on their history. 10 years worth. It's long and distinguished 🤟🤟🤟
The Warning had another great honor this past Friday. They were on the Shiprocked cruise and did a set Monday and Friday afternoon. The cruise closes with an all star jam session. The Warning and Steel Panther were chosen to close the cruise with Highway to Hell as the shows encore. The last minute or so they were joined on stage by members of many of the bands on the cruise.
Excellent comments, Eric. Indeed, labels in music have reached the level of a bad joke. There are subclassifications of subclassifications. When for those not as young as me (67 YO), rock meant freedom in musical expression. As Greg Lake wrote in his autobiography, in the 1970s, rock musicians interacted freely and did not feel part of specific movements apart from other musicians.
Pau is a Class of its own 🤩 Still one of my favorite Songs. Thank you for your Reaction. Keep on with the Teatro Metropolitan Show, you will not regret it 👍
I have always thought that Ale has the groove of John McVie, in addition to JPJ and Entwistle. They have a wonderful ability to pull together the best of rock over the past 50 years and roll into their own sound which is both familiar AND new.
Really can't get enough of these sisters. Without a doubt my favorite rock group from the past 20 years. Really, really interested to see where they're at in the next few years ahead.
I'll always consider Dust to Dust as one of The Warning's crown jewels - the first all-original song I saw by The Warning was a performance of Dust to Dust at the Whiskey A Go Go. I was stunned, numb - for me Ale's bass line is up there with AIC's Would as one of the best bass lines in rock. And, I like the thesaurus idea - the girls have a lot of amazing performances
Since they started songwriting and arranging in 2013 (at ages 13-11-8) they've been everpresent in the studio to the point where five years later they earned professional arranger and producer credits on their 2nd album, Queen of the Murder Scene, released in 2018 when they were 18-16-13. Their songwriting and arranging is geared toward making their live music sound as large as possible without overwhelming the mix, finding that perfect balance of complexity and sparseness. They know how to cover for each other during solos and vocals, and always manage to keep the melody moving forward during slowdowns or stops. Although they've started working with outsiders, their manager Rudy Joffroy says he never knows what they're working until they bring him something that is basically ready-to-record, and it wouldn't surprise me if they started working toward their own studio in the near future.
What i like about the warning is it's heavy but not offensive no bad language, violence in tone... It's just nice clean rock and they look so happy and cheerful and that comes across
Hey Eric! Love your reviews, dude! These three sisters are, in fact, aliens from the planet Rocktopia! I am an OG rocker who, like many of my friends, had given up on rock by the mid 90s. BUT, As soon as I heard The Warning, 5 years ago, I nearly cried with joy, that Rock is not dead! It's as if each sister was born for their instrument. Dany, has freakishly flexible hands, perfect for guitar, and that bright, Powerful alto voice, perfect for Rock. Ale, is very long-limbed and graceful, with long fingers, she is a human metronome, that often keeps Pau in time, and possess perfect pitch, which makes her a perfect Bass player. Pau is compact, coordinated, powerful, perfect for drums, and has a Broadway-belter alto voice that blends and contrasts with Dany's voice perfectly. Your description of their combined vocals is spot on! Not to mention their incredible songwriting talent and amazingly charming, fun, energetic stage presence. Plain and simple, they are three Unicorns that also happen to be sisters. LOL Future Legends, for SURE!
Suggest having a look at the original live performance of this song on 25 Nov 2018, at a venue called Lunario which is also in Mexico City. It was also recorded off the board (as opposed to someone's cellphone). It's not mixed as well as this and they're not quite as polished (close though!), but it does go to your question about when they gelled as a 3-piece rock band - it was before 25 November 2018!
If I may react to your reaction, umm, well said. This song and many of their others are simply mesmerizing. That sounds so over the top, but it’s true. They have landed on something special- mostly intentional and maybe even somewhat accidental. Thank you!
You are correct again. They are rock! You can't pigeonhole it, because everything they do is different. They draw from so many influences and let the song go where it needs to go, instead of trying to force it into something it's not. They don't care if it is rock, or if it's punk, or if it's pop. It is what it is. And yeah, Ale is scary good. And her sisters know it. They both fear 'the look' she gives when they mess up. And she always catches the mistakes. It's one of the reasons Ale doesn't like singing. She is too critical of her own talents. The dark side of having perfect pitch. As for the sound on this video. The whole show is like this. It is the most recent gold standard of what a live concert video should be. I'd really love to see you react to 'Sinister Smiles' ACOUSTIC from Autentico Hotel. The sound is amazing, and so is the performance. Another one that really highlights Dani's pipes.
Eric - You don't need to react to this, but it is fun to watch. The Warning ladies were part of the Shiprocked cruise which ended up a couple days ago. The final song of the cruise was a Highway to Hell jam with Michael Star of Steel Panther and The Warning. They were probably the youngest band on the cruise, but they were chosen to play this rock and roll classic, which came out years before any of them were even born. th-cam.com/video/6ry8BCTcYmc/w-d-xo.html
If you want to know where it all started, checkout their cover of Enter Sandman from 2014 on TH-cam. It went viral with now over 25 million views. Their ages were 9, 11 &14.

I love the blues, I love The Warning...but I'm trying to remember what other bands I've been a fan of that did not base their songs off blues progressions. Cheap Trick was the first to come to mind!
I love a reactor who can expand my understanding of what I have heard a million times. Props.
Watched many bands throughout the 90s and most if not all do not come close especially after seeing The Warning DPA Goddesses live. Incredibly amazing!
Eric you are by far one of my favorite reactors. Hard to believe you don't have 100k subs or higher. Love your TW reactions.
What an awesome reaction!! That makes me appreciate these "Musicians" so much more!! Thank you 👏🏽👏🏽
⚡️THE WARNING⚡️
If I'm not mistaken, Ale said Dust To Dust is the song on this record she contributed to the most. The bass lines are beautiful.
Another reason the QOTMS
Is a masterpiece.
omg a favorite?.. i can't imagine how thats done LOL
Mine too. I’ve seen them twice now and have yet to see dust to dust live.
Bands like this exist, and we get Usher at the Super Bowl. Too bad the "mainstream" doesn't know what real music is.
The mixing on these performances is top notch. Great performance
Cheers, Rich
awesome comments!!

And if they mess up, they look at each other and laugh!!
Created by three girls 17,15, 12. The future is truly bright.
Paulina is destined to be on the Mt Rushmore of singing drummers! The opening track to an amazing concept album!
gr8 reaction ... yeah you already have a deep understanding of what you are witnessing ... they are a once in a millenium treasure ... they compliment themselves so well ... namaste from canada ... r0ck 0n ... twa ...
Some people have complained that the competition was not about singing, imagine that.
Just an awesome song and performance. If you want more of Pau singing lead, check out "23". ⚡⚡⚡
Excellent reaction
*Dust to Dust*
*Dust to Dust* is the intro song on DPA/TW's _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ concept album (aka QOTMS)... it is inviting you in to hear the deep, dark, and foreboding story of a young woman apparently in love with someone that doesn't even know she exists... it follows her battles between good and evil over her soul...
the Spanish speaking part is their manager, Rudy, playing the part of a preacher at the funeral... translated to English, this is what he says...
Brother! Salvation is something that is earned!
Let go of your hand of resentment and
Wake up to a new light within you
Although your brothers try
Plunge into the darkness
DPA/TW's _"Queen of the Murder Scene"_ (aka QOTMS) is one of those concept albums best experienced by listening to it from beginning to end in order... listening to each of the songs piecemeal and out of order is like trying to figure out a movie by catching a portion near the end, one from near the beginning, and one near the middle... yeah, it won't work out very well... their performance of it at Lunario was the first time the album was presented in full to the public... it had been released over time in chapters of three songs... i like Lunario because it was the first public performance, the animations on the big screen behind Pau, and the girls were in character... others prefer their presentation of QOTMS at another venue for various reasons...
as a concept album, many of us members of TWA can easily see QOTMS as a movie or Broadway stage performance... it is that good and to think it was written by them at a very young age and released as their 2nd album! i mean... whoa! who does that?? 😹
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Such a great song and album.. 🥰🤘
@@gabrielalbertocastillomarq6120 Yeah I know that they just blow it off and have fun. But still. You want it perfect for their performances.
Hey Eric, love your eloquent and detailed reactions. You, like The Warning, ROCK! 🤩🤘⚡
Amen to that. He rocks like The Warning
Mr Clark, your body language during the song was enough to get me to like and subscribe! I also get a physical reaction when listening/watching DPA. I can still never figure out why she isn't gassed after that spoken word breakdown while she's furiously drumming and then transitions into that soft singing. Her cardio must be off the charts.
She practices running on a thread mill while singing.
One of the reasons for that is that she, Pau, runs on a thread mill while singing
Well aware of the treadmill training, still takes incredible breath control for the soft vocals coming out of that breakdown.
@@NoSmokingDogs Yup.
@@NoSmokingDogs She's also been doing it since the very beginning of her drum lessons, at around 7 years old. Her teacher initially had her sing and play simple children's songs, starting day one. She's kind of never _not_ sang while drumming.
Hi, excellent reaction.
As for rock, wait until you reaches the song Dull Knifes...
⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘
Their effect is indeed hard to put into words.
With the amount of _really good_ songs they've recorded, they're in a creative realm with the best of the best.
I think someone said that they were 11, 14, and 16 when they composed the songs but I could be wrong.
Great reaction and analysis 👍
@@gregoryvlchek269 I am sure that attending Berklee also helped.
Watching the review as I type this but just gotta say they call her Pow for a reason.
Now that I’ve seen your reaction you covered it haha
What blows my mind with Paulina and the back of house production is the wizardry that is done to provide her clean vocals while filtering the drum sound through her microphone. Truly insane
@@revolutionaerialsystemsbnb6175I wonder how they do that?
Two years being absolutely obsessed with the warning, but you sr , you just gave the best analysis of the band I’ve heard. Thanks (and I’ve heard all the internet) thanks
The Warning plays lots of different ways, but in the end it is still, paraphrasing someone, pure, total, absolut rock n roll.
Redundancy.
Dany singing the long note at the end while at the same time playing the guitar riff is impressive. These ladies are just incredible.
Damn. Very eloquent. You said what i think, but better. Well done!!
The Warning Army welcome you, Eric! Subs deserved... The Warning ROCKS!
*_THE WARNING !!!!!_*
Keeping ROCK & ROLL alive!!!!!
Ale is the metronome for the band . During rehearsals Ale keeps the other 2 in time . . Danny and Pau both aknowledge this . . Even on stage if they stray of by a little shel get them back . . .
Have subbed . . .twa . .
Perfect reaction!
Ale wrote the bass line when she was about 12
Ale has the perfect pitch she is the human metronome (Pau said in a masterclass she diid Ale sometimes scares her because she is always on time
It's Beto Ramos former pau's drum teacher who made the sound mixing and mastering of the show
I appreciate your thoughts on this song but more importantly the band overall and couldn't agree more. 🤘
Speaking of 'superlatives', I like how you described Dany's closing vocal note as 'the cherry on the cake.'
You mentioned the sound achieved in the recording of this song.
Ditto. What he said.
Great reaction and analysis! And I'm SOOOO in tune with you on the whole "if it rocks, it's rock" idea. Looking forward to the next one!
Pau is just a monster behind the kit. A wild machine.
A power trio for the new century 🤘😎
Brann Dailor from Mastodon is also another massive drummer who does vocal duties as well. Maybe not as incredible as Pau but nonetheless he is also great.
She is the rock drummer of the year by Drumeo and drummer mag
Eric, the fact that you don’t have a million plus subs is criminal! Sadly those who act like clowns with all fluff and no stuff and absolutely no music knowledge are what a short attention span majority of people gravitate towards. Thank you for your well thought out and insightful analysis of the first band to get me excited about new music in decades!
Pau of The Warning is the 2023 Drummer of the Year
That’s our Pau. She is a genius.
Enjoyed your reaction and review of The Warning Dust to Dust. The warning rabbit hole is deep. I'm sure The Warning army will fill you in on their history. 10 years worth. It's long and distinguished 🤟🤟🤟
Great reaction you've been Warned 🤘
Eric, I think you might be one of the few guys that most probably can distinct the flavours of a whiskey as you describe Pau's drumming.
You eloquently described what I was struggling to verbalize. I love, respect and admire the Warning. What a gift we’ve all been given.
Pau is a Class of its own 🤩
Still one of my favorite Songs.
Thank you for your Reaction. Keep on with the Teatro Metropolitan Show, you will not regret it 👍
my word for Ale is she Augments both Danny and Pau
The song that sent me down The Warning rabbit hole 3 yrs ago. ⚡️🤘
Me too. Great comment.
Great reaction! Love this band ❤
Ditto! 🤘🏻😀
If I may react to your reaction, umm, well said. This song and many of their others are simply mesmerizing. That sounds so over the top, but it’s true. They have landed on something special- mostly intentional and maybe even somewhat accidental. Thank you!
I saw a Vlog of the sisters yesterday and Pau spoke to how difficult this song, "Dust to Dust" is for her to play.
This is how a perfect reaction video is done. Equalled the song and that's the best compliment I can think of👍
Eric - You don't need to react to this, but it is fun to watch.
