I will always love "I'm you but stronger!" Boss fights, but this easily takes the cake as one of the best. The action, the story revelance and somber music as Clive tries to fight his own denial is perfect.
@@TalesofCROWE honest should have just kept that intro going with the choir singing in the background but made the drums and instrumentation behind it even more grand and complementary because the dark melody is already there....a simple 2 note darkness. especially with that choir leading the emotion
I know this comment is a month old but I still will throw my thoughts out. The song isn't becoming generic it isn't just being dark for the sake of dark (you are fighting a dark version of yourself) Clive is facing his own grief and pain at what he did to joshua. For this reason the violin plays the melody of Clive's theme Find the flame but on a very disonant scale because he hasn't accepted the truth yet. The piano coming in later with the lighter choir represents his acceptance of the truth beginning to take place. The whole piece is meant to underscore the climb up to what follows in phase 2 which is the uproarious Find the Flame which is all gas no breaks because this theme is extremely mellow and paired down. So for me this theme gains value in the melody appearing and had it just gone for dark atmospheric choir and the drums with the electronic rhythmic sound coming in every few seconds and just that, it loses its value a bit. I would only remember find the flame and this would have been background noise to my fight with the Infernal Shadow

“No..! *still* you deny it even when truth’s starring right at you come on clive…face your fears!”
One of Soken’s best works in a damn long while. Perfectly represents the empty husk of a man Clive has been for the last 13 years of his life.
Ive been one too. Probably why i vibe with it so much lol
Phase 1 of this fight really gives me shadowlord vibes and I love it
So much nier vibes scattered throughout the whole game
@@rxby2099Yeah I know what you mean I got that I also got FF XIV DRK LV.50 QUEST God this Shadow fight is one of my Personal favorites of all time
'I am a shadow... the true self.'
...wait wrong game 😂
I’ve been looking for this EVERYWHERE, this is by far my fav
This scene right giving me a kingdom hearts vibe.
It’s straight up FF4 Cecil fighting his dark knight self to become a paladin too
I was thinking Lingering Will vs Terra-Xehanort.
Feels a bit slower than what KH usually does. This is something you can definitely hear in FFXIV (obvious since it's using the same people from that).
Damn... will a full official OST come out one day ?! 🤯
That's unbelievable that they haven't put it out yet, considering all the bomb tracks in there.
This fuckin song slaps😤😩😩🙏🏽🙏🏽
dude yes
Really like this set up to the full theme when he L3+R3s.
No...!
_Still_ you deny it. Even when the truth's staring right at you.
Come on, Clive... Face your fears.
Had such chills at this moment.
The presentation of this game ans its ambient just cries out OG Golden Age Final Fantasy.
A16bits demake could work just perfectly with 16.
Official title: Press On
This has a very Yugo Khano of Nioh 2 vibes to it and it’s great. Soken has done his masterpiece with FF16.
I feel I had to open a book on Jungian psychology to understand this part lol
0.01 part on a full track cause it's 🔥🔥🔥
Was wondering what this was called. I kept searching for Find the Flame lyric-less version, but couldn't find it.
It’s called “Press On” per the OST
Audio is bugged with the song
How to ruin an amazing introduction to a song completely after the 0:28 mark
I agree the direction should went elsewhere because that intro is too godly
@@anthonyxjamal Yea, from emotionally heavy to generic to be honest.

@@anthonyxjamal That's not a bad idea. I like that idea a lot
