The English speaker is in charge of a bunch of Japanese speaking soldiers. The Japanese speaker is in charge of a bunch of English speaking soldiers. Tekken in a nutshell, everyone.
I love how Heihachi is like, not superpowered in any way (unlike Jinpachi, Jin, Kazuya, etc), and yet somehow he's just as powerful as them, like he's just some normal dude who knows martial arts and mastered it to the point where he can survive explosions and punch through high grade steel with no reason whatsoever.
I feel like Namco knew how hard SFV was gonna flop so they were like "SHIT LETS HURRY AND GET THE COOLEST CHARACTER, AKUMA, BEFORE HE GETS SUCKED INTO THAT FUCK-FEST"
heihachi was in tekken 6. and part of the story. Lars found him and he explained to Lars to why he has the lightning ability like him. and that's when Lars finds out that he is heihachi's son
spoiler: one thing that really disappointed me was kazumi. Thought they would really build that mother son connection between her and kazuya, but no, she wanted to kill him too lmao. in the end she was only in it for one flashback.
Yeah.. never happened that a bad or imbalanced online mode ruined a fighting game forever. *stares at SO many games in the past that had nice single player stuff but sucked online and died
I was hoping Ole' Hach would bust out that "Lions push their cubs off a cliff and only raise the ones that climb back up" line he used in the Tekken anime. Apparently he knows a lot about running a family business conglomerate but nothing about wildlife.
Heihachi was in 6 both the story and gameplay is just he played a more laid back role waiting to see how he can get of hold of his organization again. The animated movie is not canon at all because Jun never met Kazuya in the first tournament and she never tried to stop him from fighting his father. That goes for blood vengeance too
For me, that moment when i never ever do the triple electric in my life, but now with Story Assist I can do even 4-times electric with ease... so damn good LOL
Adam Gomez He did. I actually saw it on stream. I was laughing so hard & also felt sorry for Kenny. His favorite character got the ultimate disrespect.
Lars is Heihachi's illegitimate son who was in a sense the major of the Mishima Zaibatsu. As far as we now and can assume, he doesn't exactly have a family, heihachi not being a parent obviously.
This whole "hokey" debate really comes down to two things: Max has his own definition of "hokey" that probably means something along the lines of "over-the-top, nonsensical, and/or campy," whereas Steeb adheres to the actual definition of hokey, which is something along the lines of "contrived, phony, fake." Max's usage of the word doesn't necessarily have a negative connotation, but the correct definition of hokey DOES have a negative connotation, which is why Steeb (and most other folks who are particular about language) get so confused and/or butthurt when Max uses it. For the record, I agree with Max's definition of hokey in relation to the Tekken series. Things are WILDLY over the top in that series, and not necessarily in a bad way. P.S. There's another definition of "hokey" that means "corny." Corny itself has two definitions, which is either "mawkishly sentimental" or "lacking in subtlety." Although Tekken DEFINITELY lacks in subtlety, the definition of corny in relation to "hokey" relates to the sentimental definition (ie., a corny love poem is hokey), which probably isn't what Max is going for. In any case, there's a lot of room for confusion with this seemingly innocuous word.
Heihachi was in the story of tekken 6; he just stayed out of the conflict between Jin and Kazuya. He did however meet with Lars and caught a bullet with his bare teeth, its also how he learned Lars was a Mishima as well.
The biggest problem in this series is how monolithic the Mishima family is. Not that they shouldn't be important but it has gotten to the point where only they are allowed to really do anything and they are starting to suck other characters into their plotline. You know what would have been exciting? If Nina beat Heichi.
I find that Tekken works because it takes itself just the right amount of serious such that we become invested in the characters but we still accept the stupidly awesome shit that happens
I'll admit the story mode is good except for two things 1. We start the story mode and end the story mode in a battle that results in the player losing basically young Kazuya getting thrown off a cliff and later Heihachi(who is actually not that bad to an extent) getting literally beaten to death by Devil Kazuya and then thrown into a volcano basically something haters complaining about MVCI's opening story mode sequence doing. 2. The secondary main protagonist aka the Narrator is a random nameless guy whom we all know about is a freelance investigative reporter who wants to kill Jin to get revenge for the death of his loved ones I have a question. Why does this character exist? I mean come on Bandai-Namco you could've done so much better with the secondary main protagonist you could've made an all new original playable character with this bio, or make Lei the secondary protagonist since he is a liaison detective between Hong Kong P.D and Interpol, or better yet make the secondary main protagonist Miguel from Tekken 6 since Miguel's bio in T6 literally states he's a reporter for a newspaper in his home country of Spain who comes back to discover his hometown in ruins and his loved ones due to the war with the G Corp and the world that Jin starts prompting him to want to kill Jin to avenge his loved ones along with taking down both the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corp.
Heihachi was in 6's story i could have sworn. I remember Lars meeting Heihachi and Heihachi noticing Lars having an electric punch. Heihachi is alive in 7 so he had to be SOMEWHERE, wouldn't be surprised if they hid him somewhere in 6's story knowing not everyone would discover his mission.
If only Snoop Dogg made a small cameo in this game… A reference to Tekken Tag Team Tournament 2. (or maybe a clever Easter egg hidden in one of the fighting arena levels)
Heihachi is my dude but you'd think with him being so hellbent on getting rid of the devil gene, he would have reached out to find his daughter in law or ask his granddaughter for help. Especially since they are part of a psychic clan that apparently has the ability to void the devil gene BY TOUCH!!!!
I actually hope that they make a sort of Tekken Party game featuring all of the mini games from the Tekken series. Tekken Ball, Tekken Bowling, Tekken Force (even though technically it isn't a party-ish type of game we won't see it in Tekken 7 & haven't seen it since Tekken 4.) To boot, add every single possible version of each, allow for all customization options including those in Tekken 7, & we'd have ourselves an awesome game. I'd buy it, like if you agree.
Why are people complaining about this story mode and character episodes, these char eps are basically a simpler version of having to beat an arcade boss to find out more story and also if you think tekken 3 had better cutscenes, well they are in this game, In the gallery!!!
Hey Max, great gameplay! I love this kind of story video since I can't afford/play them. However, I think you should make this a little bit longer, like 40~50 minutes and I find the game audio a bit low. Keep it up!
heihachi was in scenario campaign in tekken 6... he's hiding from the world waiting for an opportunity to come back into power even stronger. I literally was playing the shit out of tekken 6 for the last 3 weeks leading up to this games release. tekken 6s story mode was actually really fun. I hate getting kicked off the edge but it's still fun lol
They're very different from each other so they both feel unique. Tekken's more difficult than Injusice 2 but if you're up for it, I'd say to get Tekken 7 now while loads of people are playing it.
if you got games to play then buy it, you can get in and out fast from it but if you got nothing to play then dont because you'll play it day and night and might get bored quick till friends come over.
White Girls are my Kryptonite its your choice if you like 2d fighters get injustice if you are new to Tekken don't think this will be a easy ride and hop and play game because coming from a long time fan of the series this game is not noob friendly
I got a question. If Kazuya is now retcon to have had the devil gene inherited, but also made a deal with the devil to sell his soul, does that make him the Super Devil? Also gravity seems to be allergic to Mishima bloodlines.
If you knew anything at all you would be able to spot what the Super Devil looks like. he's over six feet tall. he has a flying motorcycle and a jar of marmalade that makes you commit adultry
The fact that Heihachi had a biological son, an adopted son, and an illegitimate son really surprises me
threw one off a cliff, banished another, and made the last as a DNA test
E. V Father of the year!
@@brentacomoose For he's a jolly good fellow lol!
EveryonesKouhai he’s rich as shit, he could have fooled women, or other way around.
Ya he was actually a good guy kazumi betraying him.... Messed him up
Heihachi is voiced by Old Joseph's VA. That's fucking awesome.
The Tekken 5 recap is the best part of story mode. I was so shocked and amazed when I played through that part myself.
The English speaker is in charge of a bunch of Japanese speaking soldiers.
The Japanese speaker is in charge of a bunch of English speaking soldiers.
Tekken in a nutshell, everyone.
The language barrier in this game is a bit bizarre!
Its gotta be Mishima family tradition where they throw each other off mountains, volcanos, helicopters, and spaceships.
And helicopters *into* volcanos!
next game : Jin Throw himself to the volcano after throwing kazuma lol
Aby Awimba i bet that you are correct on that
cease25 Tekken 9: Heihachi comes back to life, Swanton Bomb into the volcano after throwing Jin and Kazuya

Its almost as if a good single player makes a game better!
*stares at SFV
Yeah.. never happened that a bad or imbalanced online mode ruined a fighting game forever.

FGC Highlights Dude thanks for the Abegen highlights, they were awesome! : )
FGC Highlights
Hey... Just want to say thanks for your SolCal Iron God videos among other things. It's nice to see amazing Thor's in action.
FGC Highlights Unfortunately, Tekken 7's is pretty bad too.
Saying this has a good single player XD
their argument when Heihachi kicked three missiles was hilarious. keep at it bois.
The time has come and so have I -Max 2017.
How is no one talking about this lmfao!

I saw "I-Max" and then I read the whole comment. Is I-Max in 60 fps?
VmoneyP Devil May Cry 4 theme song?
VmoneyP I giggled
"I'll laugh last, 'cause you came to die"
Heihachi was in Tekken 6's story, Lars fought him and everything.
Yeah but he was still in hiding by that time. He was in Tekken 5 and 6 but canonically, he didn't participate in the tournaments
heihachi was in 6, lars and alisa encountered him at one point during scenario campaign.
Heihachi is coming back as Cyber Heihachi or Darth Worst Father ever
Tekken is amazing, haven't had this much fun with a fighting game for about 10 years.
And it has Arcade-Mode from the get go *CAN YOU BELIEVE IT*
aaand my main is gone (Bruce) along with Raven :/ Characters make the game great
Is there any explanation why?
"The Time Has Come And So Have I" nice DMC4 Reference guys :D Again, love when you get your guys together for a lets play Max! :)

Let's all be honest here. The story mode is like 50 percent heihachi cause namco knew that people won't be able to play him anymore
gamebalk NOOOOO....really???? How did you come to that conclusion? :(
Tae Dollaz Play the game & see for yourself
I heared Harada said This gonna be a last Tekken.
If he did, citation pls. The story is on a cliff hanger, this can't be the last game
Harada never said that. He said it's the last of the Mishima ark. Which started in T1.
Oh my god we might get another Hokey wars again!. im so HYPED!

I hope Max dedicates a video solely to it :D

goddamn it. dat ending lol.
Adam Gomez He did. I actually saw it on stream. I was laughing so hard & also felt sorry for Kenny. His favorite character got the ultimate disrespect.
Man so far i love the tekken so really pump up on this game really pretty amazing
'Heihachi had just PUNCHED A MISSLE, MAN!!! IT'S DEFINE AS BAD!!!!' LOL, love your reaction to the scene
I can't wait for them to react to the Lars shooter segment.
So like if this story was true. Why did Heihachi have Jinpachi trapped under Hon-Maru?
Because cruelty
HE PUNCHED A MISSLE!
Heihachi sounds like Old Joseph. Is it the voice actor or my filthy JoJo weeb nature?
yes, yes, oh my god..
Jake is that a motherfucking JoJo's reference ?
/SLASH/ Maybe
DanTheMan 7192000 wow, I recognised the thing
Sampsonite good ears, my man!

Lars is Heihachi's illegitimate son who was in a sense the major of the Mishima Zaibatsu. As far as we now and can assume, he doesn't exactly have a family, heihachi not being a parent obviously.
The narrator of the story reminds me that shrek is love. Shrek is life.
I find it funny when there fighting the Jack-4's because in Tekken 4 Jack isn't a playable character
Jack 5 not 4, we never saw model 4, we did however see Gun Jack and Prototype Jack

I don't think he knows if Jun is alive, and if you mean asuka when you say granddaughter, she isn't related to him.
heihach was in 6 but everyone thought he was dead. Lars ended up running into him during the story campaign
I think Lars works with Lee in Violet Systems now. And story assist is whatever button you have for L1 if youre on ps4 it should be in key bindings

my first experience of tekken every was when I was at my aunt’s house and my cousin was playing T5 and all i remember was the intro
The voice actor who's playing the narrator sounds like he'd rather be doing anything else during the recording sessions.
Heihachi did appear in the Story Mode of Tekken 6.
New story dlc coming soon
actually he was grown but that was because he threw kazuya into a volcano not a cliff i also mistook that scene

actually, Heihachi was in the campaign mode for Tekken 6
