These long form videos are really well made - obscure but interesting subjects, cogent narration, clean editing. I assumed you had tens of thousands of subscribers because the quality of your work warrants it.

I think kids in America already knew that breathing helium changes your voice. They were already doing it. I did it when I was a kid. I never breathed in helium and then made a natural connection to sniff glue or paint or breathe in anything else. Complete overreaction. It was a solid ad. And the Coke delivery guy getting caught getting a Pepsi is probably the best all time Super Bowl ad. I loved that ad.

I don't see a problem with this what so ever. I would have kept it running for that price.

I though the controversy was going to be the wicked witch being crushed by the FedEx truck.

Weird. This doesn't come across as offensive or anything to me at all. So strange that it got complaints. Of course leave it to the "Karen" types to complain about everything and anything. Also just subbed because I like the obscure less known content. Hope to see more like this.

I can understand why the Just for Feet ad the previous year was so controversial.
But this ad getting complaints..... bruh

This ad does not even compare to Just for Feet. This was actually funny and clever and a top 10 ad from this game. Just for Feet was probably the worst on the 1999 ad meter and besides the 2002 Taco Bell commercials got beat by a frickin flu ad!

I agree. It is very unique. What exactly is the problem? Or is it another case of people being overly sensitive and not knowing when to let other people just live and let live?

I have no memory of this ad at all, and I watched this whole Super Bowl. But man, I thought this effort for FedEx was SUPREMELY lame and forced, and pretty much encapsulates the criticism from Pytka about companies "trying too hard."
I've also never liked ads utilizing dead actors and dead people in general to hawk merchandise. Not Fred Astaire with the vacuum cleaner, not that despicable pickup truck ad using MLK, and not this. If Judy Garland and all the Munchkin actors didn't sign off on this themselves then FedEx shouldn't have the right to use them. (Yeah, yeah, I know, legally, they obviously did--I'm not talking legality here.)

Jeez Louise it wasn't like they were huffing glue. Doing helium is a time-honored kid tradition. Just dumb.

I totally thought the complaint would be that the FedEx truck landed on the Wicked Witch, which would give the possible idea that FedEx trucks hit and kill civilians. I was blindsided by the actual controversy.

I heard if you mute this commercial it synchs up with “Time” by Pink Floyd.

What seems crazy to me is that any health organization would say there’s no health risk to inhaling helium. There’s absolutely a risk of passing out, I assume, at least.
Also, don’t see anything wrong with the ad. I never saw it before this and still knew of and did the helium trick. Helium balloons aren’t something you see everyday and an adult always sternly told me not to do it.

I was just thinking in saying the same thing in middle school I passed out and a teacher caught me as I feel thank God but I've had a few friends that have smacked their head pretty good from that s***. My own kid did it at Christmas time and I warned her too like that s***'s going to make you pass out.she did it anywas then ended up with me running over there having to catch her. That's what I thought the controversy was going to be

As soon as I heard them lose their high pitched voices, I knew exactly what the controversy was. Then they received the package of balloons and my suspicions were confirmed. This is a lame controversy.

I see the issue, I don’t agree with it, but I see it.
Nitrous is inhaled recreationally a similar way, and they don’t explicitly state that there's helium in those balloons. A kid could be offered a balloon full of nitrous, I guess? Are kids big fans of Phish? 😂
