Rachel has internalized the queen. It is so fun to listen to her talented voice as she impersonates this wicked queen. And, at the end, totally returns to her own body and spirit after embodying that persona. It’s like there are two Rachel and I’m sure she does that for all of the parts she takes on. Can’t wait to hear.
I would not want to be Zarastro! I sense bad, bad things in his future. One way or another! Rachel Duckett's voice is almost inhumanly pure. I wish I could see her in the role!
I’m always going to congratulate for someone getting through this aria. She’s young and has time to figure out her voice. But not sure this is the rep for her.
I would pay to see her perform although it’s not the best version I have heard. She made you believe her story. I would love to listen to her as Musetta.
So beautiful! I very much enjoyed "how to sing..." video and this had deeper context because of that. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. Very best wishes for the future!
Excellente.. Merci.merci. NB ❤❤
Technically correct but she is not coloratura as what coloratura actually means. She can sing it but doesn’t mean she is what the song needs. Congratulations on your debut tho, keep working on that coloratura.
I bet Mozart's performers on the one hand, hated such crazy challenges of a role like this. Especially the women's roles. On the other, if they beat these challenges, could enjoy the accolades that should have followed.
Oh my goodness, who cut the video? Who produced this?! The camera ALWAYS misses the climaxes from the soprano. Like if it was done deliberately. Very amateur, not worthy of Classic FM.
Well done. Perhaps slightly too high; but I attribute that more to nerves than technique. I'd be sqeaky too (to borrow someone else's posting) in front too that number of people too!
Very very disappointing direction of this piece. The director should have been on the artist as she hit the various top notes NOT on nebulous cut always that showed little of the performance. A disgrace !
She gets credit for handling this extraordinarily difficult aria but I agree she was squeaky and a little to sharp at times. Look at Diana Damraus' version of this. She is the reigning queen of this aria IMHO.
That the human voice is capable of such magnificent beauty brings joy to my heart and restores my faith in humanity.
Loved how she did the triplets toward the end. One of the best I've heard. She was so clean and crisp throughout and really did an outstanding job.
Check out Damrau's version. Much more crisp triplets. Not that Rachel was bad--but she IS young.
The triplets are so HARD!
Not all the triplets were clean. My feeling is she's not mature enough for this role.
Your opinion is also my opinion.@@musicalme27
Merveilleux

The lyrics are so metal.

I think it might be a *little* too high for her, but I think that's more nerves than anything else.
I agree. ❤️.
A beautiful song and a beautiful singer! ❤️🇬🇧🙂👍🇺🇸
I loved it 🥰🥰
Marvelous ❤
Bravo!!!!
perfection her voice !! Mozart would be very proud !!
Amazing
Che voce questa Rachel!
I would pay to see her perform although it’s not the best version I have heard. She made you believe her story. I would love to listen to her as Musetta.
Her name is Rachel Duckett (got it from the full video linked)
Excelsa interpretación.
Rachel, wunderbar!
Verdade !!!
Some of the most heart-wrenching music is also extremely beautiful.
True from classical to pop.
Happy songs are often very uninteresting.
Wow!!!🎉🎉🎉

Tell me you're no German native speaker without telling me. 😒
The F2 in alts were every so slightly wayward in places, but her diction is superb.
Brava! Brava ! Brava!
Wunderbar!
Excellente..
Merci.merci. NB ❤❤
It's alright. The timing, performance and easiness of the aria isn't quite there... but she reaches those notes, still impressive!
Yes. Perhaps not yet formed enough for this aria. The highest notes sound spectacular, but it is not all about that.
Her German needs to lose the accent.
The timing and the diction wore the worse parts, but her notes were ok. Nice job!
Eeww go home.
Co za głos. Pięknie ❤
Brilliant! 💙
Phenomenal
Wow! This is next next level.
Superbe!
❤🔥
...and all without autotune!
Unfortunately.😋

Very nice intonation, I like this aria bit faster. Still, her f’s make me pea-green with envy😄
Diana Damrau is the best soprano to sing this aria.
No hay punto de comparacion
Yes! By far the best I've ever heard 😊
Bravissimo ❤
🎆🎆🎆🎆🎇🎇🎇🇭🇹🥂🍾😭
What language is she singing?
German
The language it was written in... German.
Google the lyrics.
Well, let's say she us supposed to sing in German ...
hi
Damrau is the best
Jesus Christ 😮
How much further will it go …
I would recommend anyone to watch this BEFORE watching Diana Damrau interpretation or you’ll be extremely judgmental of other singers. 😂
Rachma au milieu de Gerschwin...
Oh my goodness, who cut the video? Who produced this?! The camera ALWAYS misses the climaxes from the soprano. Like if it was done deliberately. Very amateur, not worthy of Classic FM.
I agree @catnash. out of the 10 or 12 renditions, this is the best. Remarkable Rachel
no need for amplification
Its not Diana Damrau! She must learn.
Well done. Perhaps slightly too high; but I attribute that more to nerves than technique. I'd be sqeaky too (to borrow someone else's posting) in front too that number of people too!
Mejorar la pronunciación
those wide shot should be illegal.
Only in yoir opinio .

She’s ok. On the verge of squeaking.
Not polished.
The accompaniment is more unpolished.
Are you kidding? Albert Hall debut!! Live on Classic FM!! Breathaking performance. ❤
@@peteraffyduck for the fans of the squeaky sopranos who really shouldn't try this aria.

Meh
Just no.
Did not get the high note. Not on the beat.
Thanks for pointing that, Drago Malefoy. 10 points for Slytherin.
She looks a bit too cheery to be the Queen of the Night; heard better too 🙄
Zdislawa Donat is better than both Damrau and Duckett
Wow!!!🎉🎉🎉
Meh
