    Lovely GCF's (Gerry's Crafty Friends) as I got a bunch of questions about the drying time, it seems I didn't explain clearly enough that the drying takes some time as the plastic wrap is blocking the air that's needed for the alcohol ink to dry. I let it dry overnight and obviously edited out that part😉You can test if it's dry if you touch the plastic and you can't move the ink anymore, so you don't get coloured fingers!

    one of my fave background is to smoosh ink directly onto plastic wrap and crinkle wrap then put it onto cardstock, push on the wrap and lift., beautiful. can add more colors too. it’s instant background!! 🌸

    This is a perfect tutorial for a beginner. You only need a few colours of alcohol ink and some rubbing alcohol to get started. The results are very satisfying and pretty. Who doesn't love creating backgrounds.

    • @GerrysCraftRoom
      @GerrysCraftRoom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, you can even do this with one colour, as in alcohol inks there are often a few colours hiding😉💕

    Utterly fantastic! Just love these! What about crumpling the plastic wrap in your hand and dabbing it here and there to make impressions ? This was cool and reminded me of exactly what I did on the walls in my house with 2 colors that were very similar decades ago! It looks dreamy in very light colors. With white and light blue for example, in paint. Hey! What about same technique on yuppie with paint? Sorry my brain just took off! Great great backgrounds! My favorite things!

      you're welcome💖 Yes they do bleed through cardstock and they won't move like they do on Yupo (which is a plastic kind of paper) If you have a bit of a slippery surface then you could try that (like photo paper for instance)

    Just watched this video again Gerry, i now have more colours of the alcohol inks. You said the plastic wrap can be used again but how? Do you add more ink onto the wrap itself? TIA, Ann (one of your biggest fans:-)

    • @GerrysCraftRoom
      @GerrysCraftRoom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ann, if you use it with the same colours you can use it in the same way, if there is a lot of in on the wrap you can add some alcohol/blending solution on your yupo paper. Adding on on the wrap will get messy, but you could try😉 Have fun💕

    I haven’t been able to catch the name of the paper you’re using.
    Probably because I’ve never heard of it before.
    Can you help with spelling of paper you’ve used ?

    How long did it take to dry? My yupo took months and months. Why is that. I was very disappointed. Because months later my fingers kept getting blue. Lol

    • @GerrysCraftRoom
      @GerrysCraftRoom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I let it dry overnight, that's weird. Like really wet or just stain? Sometimes it's the colour, I have made colour charts with alcohol inks and have found some of the reds stay sticky and stain, never had that with any of the other colours though🤔
