I should have mentioned that the printer is an ink jet, the ink takes a bit of time to dry. so when you have everything ready you can add the powder as soon as possible for the technique to work
Question: the ink on the vellum from the printer almost looked like embossing ink (looked light in color after printing)...was it regular printer ink milk or did I miss something?
@@sharon94503 yep you missed something, lol 😆 I mentioned the ink was a very light grey ink, this makes that you can use many colours on top, but you can print in any colour you like and then emboss😉
@@lauramartin7300 the good news is that your printer already has grey ink Laura, all colours can be made with black, red, yellow and blue except for white and if you see white in a print then it's outlined with a colour leaving the white without ink😉happpy crafting to you as well 💕
Oh, man, oh man, oh man!!!!! Printing and embossing on vellum really amps up my card making skills and fun, thank you so much! And that tip on how to emboss using chunky powder is also a game changer. I've got several chunky powders and don't use them because the chunks used to fly away before being melted. Not anymore! You are a genius...doing a happy dance here!!!
Wow again, super video! I love dry embossing, it’s magic! This is another video I’m going to watch several times! Thanks again for sharing all these super tips and technics! I really enjoy these types of videos.

Yet another fantastic video with so many wonderful ideas! As a long time paper crafter, I always still learn something new from you ! I have never heard of the micro embossing glaze 🤔
Now that's super cool, love that😍 The glaze is also used to seal Distress Inks so they don't react to water anymore and you can add more layers for instance😉
Wow these are some awesome ideas. I really liked the hearts with the different colored embossing powders. Almost looks like an enameled piece of metal, and would make such a pretty pendant. Thanks for all of these ideas.
Brilliant ideas! I love the embossing wand. I'll definitely be making one of those. I never thought of using a towel. That's very clever. I'll be doing that too. Thank you for sharing these tips and ideas. 😊

Great video! I use a piece of cardboard covered with tin foil to lay my item on for embossing (the foil reflects heat from the back side), but I really like your idea of using a towel. Going to give it a try! Also loved the marbling effect! 💕
I am a fan of most of your videos but this one had some fantastic ideas! Thanks for explaining the towel. I've been trying Ardyth's foil trick when heat embossing but it hasn't been cooperating with me so I'll have to give your towel trick a try. I adored the heart you made! I have tons of colors so I'll have to try more of your techniques.

NICE HEART GERRY! Loved that! I always wondered what the chunky powder was for since I've really only seen sentiments embossed. That is going on my list! I use judikins glaze glue to make things paper shiny and look plastic but this with the mixing is fabulous!
thanks💖 it's often used in mixed media, it'll work for backgrounds as well, like in this video: th-cam.com/video/vKD4lhHIjZo/w-d-xo.html And for the glaze glue (I think is probably similar to Glossy Accents or Nuvo Crystal Glaze) in case you missed it this is a fun technique as well: th-cam.com/video/yAOsPnVMnX0/w-d-xo.html

Gerry I like the idea of the towel under the paper. I will have to try that. I have a hard time embossing in black it doesn't melt glossy it stays a little rough could you tell me why it does that.
thanks💖 it can be a number of things, it sounds like a crappy EP that doesn't melt well😉 or the EP grains do not touch each other to melt into a smooth layer, sometimes more layers are needed, that doesn't explain the not glossy part though. Other than that, it's hard to say from a distance. Not super helpful I guess🤓
