Mine just died after 28 months. I was using it as a Wireless Access Point, connected to my ISP's router by ethernet cable and that connection has failed. Its been playing up for a few weeks, with the 'orange light of death' showing some mornings (which a simple reboot fixed), but today its WLAN socket is now completely dead. All of the failures have occurred in the small hours of the morning (I can see when my thermostat log stops working). My theory is that there has been a slowly developing crack in a soldered connection, which failed when my house approaches its coldest overnight temperature (i.e. thermal contraction issue).
Looking on line I found similar WLAN issues reported by other users, so perhaps their quality has dropped. My replacement router will not be made by them. Would be interested if anyone has any comments about the lifespan of these.
