I need to check where the WiFi will work best at my place before drilling holes for optical cable line, so can I use the WiFi without Internet to check the signal strength it provides across various rooms? 🤔
Yes. You can turn ON wifi and check the signal quality without internet too. But you can't perform any internet speed test.
Terrible router. Slow and buggy. Review posts in official TP-Link forums. They refuse to take any proper responsibility on the bugs
Better you ask for a replacement. One of my viewers got a TP Link Deco X20 1 Pack as a replacement for this router.

AX50 has heating issue. So after a certain point the processor would be bottle necking. So data speeds drops.
Ask TP Link for a replacement unit and also you can ask for Deco X20 1 Pack in the replacement.
Please use the usb3.0 port available in router to connect an external HDD and shoe us the features available to use the router as a mini NAS.

Ax10,Ax20 or AX50 which to buy for home use?
Tp Link Deco X20 is better then Archer AX series. You will have to option to add more Deco to expand your WiFi Coverage.

At around 9:40 in the vid you had a issue with the cable and the modem, I think I’m having that same issue. How did you fix that problem?
Actually one of my modem ethernet port was not working I didn’t know about that.
@@AshutoshThakur007 one of your modem ethernet ports? A modem only has one ethernet ports to pass the internet to the router!
@@rgruenhaus Actually in India BSNL Provides a Modem which has no wifi but 4 LAN Ports and 2 Landline Phone ports.
So the modem installed at my home by BSNL out 4 only 2 work correctly. At the time of recording the video I had plugged in to that not working Ethernet port which in result no internet was found by the Router.

How to set up with a router onu device?
ONU then just uses the WAN port and directly uses the ID and Password in this TP Link router as a PPPoE connection.
Do remember to disable the PPPoE setup in the ONU.
If not just go with Dynamic IP.

@@adgaming6091 Then you have to select Dynamic IP in the internet setting inside the TP Link Modem setting.
Also you can make the same change in the TP Link Tether app.
Does this router have vpn client so that I can use my paid vpn subscription,vpn servers ?
Yes. Supported by some VPN Provider check with the VPN you have a subscription.
And I would suggest buying the latest model TP Link Archer AX53

Yes. Go for Archer AX20. This model has heating issue. But the Archer AX20 is a very good model. I have made a video for that model too.
MAC reset require for pppoe internet connection. call your internet service provider.

Does AX50 | AX3000 support repeater mode (Range Extender Mode)? My requirement is to connect Jio dongle (Wirelessly) and repeat the signal. I am not asking for WDS or Media Bridge mode.
This router will become too costly for this. I would suggest you to buy Archer A9 instead that is affordable and good to use.

I just paid $129.00 at Walmart in northwest Florida USA for the AX3000
People have written that this device lacks cooling (i hear the chip) & disconnects on speeds around 300mbps. And that they had to get a refund.
But this thing can connect to 200 devices in one shot ? 😳
I have been using this device since my review got online. Till now I haven't face any disconnect issue. Also the heating is true. I have a connection speed of 100Mbps.
Does the router restart or freezes or internet speed lag due to the heat generated??

I have heard from other folks that more than 300Mbps speed internet connection is not working good with this router.
Are you still able to use your old network and your new network

I disabled the old network totally and used the new network for better performance.

I am getting 98Mbps Download and 78Mbps Upload at night during less traffic in the servers.
Do you already need wifi for this or does thi give off wifi?
@@shade5557 This is a router it needs a modem to share internet through Wifi.

My WAN cable comes from the wall to my router but it is telling me I need a modem? I didn't have one with the router my internet company gave me and worked fine

If your internet provider has given you a ID and Password then use that under connection type PPPoE or else Dynamic IP or if you have a static IP then use that.

I brought ax10 but it is not showing internet . I connect the ISP cable to direct the router like normal but i tried to connect ISP cable to my old wifi and old wifi's LAN cabel to ax10 its working . What is problem . Please help bhai
You have to setup this first.
You can use it as a access point or else a Router this is your choice.
Remember it is not a modem you need the ISP modem to connect to Internet and then use the Ethernet port (Cable provided in the box) to connect to this Router and select the connection type as Dynamic IP.
You are done. It should work now.

In our village the internet provider gives a ethernet cable that connected to his splitter. The problem is in old wifi router its internet is working . But little ping issue . that's why i upgraded to AX10 for better performance but its not showing internet. But its working with giving access point of old wifi. But the problem is. Old wifi is laggy

If this doesn’t work then call your internet provider to set it up with the configuration that your internet provider sets.

I have a 100Mbps connection. I get around 98 DL and 97.8 UL.
Also speed test depends on the server current status. If sometime you see slow speed that doesn't mean that your connection has slow internet speed. It is also dependent on that server which you are using to check your internet speed.

With the Wi-Fi 6 router, do I need to connect it to my old router (modem) which I’m paying monthly? Can I connect the Ethernet cable to my computer or laptop instead?
