What is the purpose of changing the operation mode ? , what is the problem , if I am using router mode ?

Because if you repeater mode you change mode and one more thing some routers secure mode will be enabled. If it's enabled sometimes both 2.4and 5ghz will work in single name..while changing the mode 2.4 and 5ghz it will be enabled automatically
