Fun Fact: Brigid Tenenbaum doesn't actually have her own character model. They used a female splicer model to represent her. This is why when we rarely see her, she's either far away or otherwise obscured.
That's clever! Also understandable. It's not like we spend a lot of time with any of these characters face to face. I also probably wouldn't want to expend resources or time to model the character who mistook "Never Again" for "Once more, with feeling."
I never noticed that they improved the corpse ragdoll physics. Back in the original release, when splicers died, their bodies would move at significantly less than 30fps.
I'm enjoying this playthrough so much, despite having seen these games a bunch of times. I know it's a long shot, but I really hope you replay all the games in the series. I'd love to see how they aged and I'm really enjoying your commentary, as always.
Same! I played the game an age ago and I remember hardly anything outside of the bigger plot twists which I obv won't be getting into. Great fun revisiting, shame that the modern version is buggy.
The last three videos of this series has given me inspiration and also the will to go back to this game and also the whole game series that's out (Bioshock 1, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite). Apparently I'm ALSO hearing though I'm not sure if I can fully confirm it or not that Bioshock is also getting a Netflix series.
I'm actually writting a story that involves atmospheric diving suits or ADS which is what inspired the desing of the Big Daddys. There is a french desing from the 1880's that looks a lot like the bouncer type of Big Daddy.
Watching you roam Arcadia reminded me of how much I really loved the environment in that area. I'd get lost a ton because I'm not so great with navigation, but all the trees and flowers and stuff made me really nostalgic.
The crash :( That sucks, I'm sorry you had to go back and redo it, John. Since my memories of BioShock are so fuzzy (I only remember very specific moments and the stuff with Atlas and Andrew Ryan), it's interesting to hear the tapes from the different characters fleshing out the world.
You sound like me, I forget what the words are or incomplete sentences.. Just wait until you’re in your 50’s and it gets worse at age 60.. I know, I do it too..
I played Bioshock again when the remasters came out, I love the story but the combat really doesn't hold up in my opinion. Bioshock 2/Infinite really do refine the combat experience but just doesn't capture the world/story of the original.

Oh, that’s so cool to know. ❤

Clicked so fast it didn't load.
51:09 Fantastic unintentional comedic timing.
One hell of a penalty

I felt pain for you when the game closed. I'm glad you were able to recover.

“You don’t nap for 8 hours”
First of all, how dare you
Loving the playthrough!
You're lucky you had one crash, I had multi crash to the point where I just gave up on the remastered version.
Lets go!! 🤘
You can take pics of their bodies, too.
Yes but it doesn't give as good of bonus if you take picture of dead body
And for that specific mission they actually have to be alive

Hola John!
I'm sorry but the cultists' busty effigies are killing me. _Why_

why aren't you taking any damage?
This game reminds me of “ Fallout 4, “ somewhat.. Not everything, though..
