J-Man, so I always take your advice and always glad! Just got my Quilter Superblock tonight. I have been through sooo many tube combos, spark 40, iridium (w/FRFR) and never been happy with any of them. This thing is IT for a home playing studio. WOW within 20 minutes I am experiencing all the sounds I'd hoped for with those Fenders and Marshalls. I plugged into a celestion 12 cab and it just punches you. Selling my other amps first thing tomorrow.

Thanks TGP! Yeah as far as solid state amps go, Quilter is hard to beat! I think my preference is the UK version, but hard to say until I run them side by side... J
Just a heads-up: the "Cab Sim" toggle isn't doing anything when you're only connecting to a guitar speaker. The toggle sets which type of cab simulation (or none) you'll be hearing through the Line Out and Headphone outs. :) If you were to apply cab simulation to a signal already going into a speaker, it would sound bad.
That makes sense man, thanks. With a speaker cab, if I toggle the cab sim switch, the FRFR sounds flat, the Normal sound, well, Normal, and the BRT, is like you just dialed down the base and added highs! So it definitely does something when plugged into a cab, but I agree, it sounds crappy... well, at least to my ears it does lol. Cheers! J
@@j-man9457 That's really weird! The manual says "CAB SIM: operates on the signal going to the H-PHONE and LINE OUT jacks." I wonder if yours is functioning as intended in this respect?
@@latontolog yeah don't know... but both the UK and the US do the same... it's not a huge difference, more of a audible eq difference. I'll try it with headphones to see how the cab sims differ... J
The live recording came out great and I'm sold on this pedal amp for Fender tones. As an old guy and long time Fender amp user hard to convince me. I still own several tube amps in the Fender Twins, Bassman, Deluxe, Hot Rod Deluxe, Champ and the modeling Mustang III V2. So I'm pretty Fender savvy and this sounds right.

I get players coming to see me at gigs asking what I'm playing through cause theybare not seeing a fender amp on stage hahaha! So yeah it's pretty accurate to tone voicings for sure! Cheers mate!
Ok a year or so has passed since this video are you still loving these? It’s funny you said you prefer the Brit amps UK I’m an English man and prefer the US amps, go figure? but they both sound great buddy.

Ah ok but maybe you should cut it when you record something it's very noisy and disturbing to listen well. I'm looking to this one quilter and also the new lenay loudpedal ironheart or lienheart bcc 60w they are fantastic too have you tried them ?
Laney have understand exacly what we need. They have so many beautiful amp the L5 studio is really made for home use. But the others are really cool too. I'm thinking to buy one these or the loudpedal ironheart the blue one is crazy.

65 is the Fender Blackface amp models. Like the Twin Reverb and Deluxe Reverb. Very famous amps.
