IKR? Link-1s should always have been used as ways to upgrade existing cards. You could use them as Pseudo retrains and let people link an oldschool boss monster into a better version whose cost is basically the slot in your ED. Imagine being able to play oldschool Vanilla's or cards that have fallen off in your main deck because when they go on field they link into a modern version of themselves!

I find it funny that the Link 1 specifies that it must be a lvl 9 Charles monster
because this definetly only exists so that Formund Skipper can't cheat it out
It also stops you from using itself as material to summon another one
Also if somehow you or your opponent lowers your Charles lvl you cant link it
Just make Formud Skipper become level 9 and give it an equip card.

The one thing I am not sure of if it occurs or not with the Link-1 Charles but the fact that it copies Emperor Charle's effects and then equips OG Charles to itself means that it might be able to activate Charle's pop effect again just from Charles being equipped to it.

Here's hoping at least it seems the deck can land a standard powerful end board without relying on 3+ hand rips. Now it seems like Connector and Dolphin if that. For the love of fuck though please stop using Exchange.

End board is 2 spell negates (1 destroys), 1 spell/trap/monster effect negate and destroy, 1 monster negate and destroy, 1 omni-negate and destroy, and boss monster is un-targetable and can't be destroyed, plus 2 possible graveyard interruptions.
Phoenix Gear blade (equip spell) is my going second OTK card, really comes in clutch sometimes.
I agree on everything, except when you said that the field spell should have been release YEARS ago
infernoble was meta since its release, it even dominated the court, the fact you wanted them to have the non hard once per turn field spell is crazy to me XD

Charles is an excellent made card with the other infernoble knights, he can really get you out of jams with his non-targeting removal effect. It's just hard to put on the board with if someone imperms or ash your Ogier or Renaud.
I'm pretty sure that the OMNINEGATE it's more important. Because now you can negate, non target removal and a second negate with Gearfried.
One day true kings will have cards to themselves and a rank 9 that doesn't induce giga tumours on its opponents. Maybe.. I pray. True king pure ONE day baby.
Honestly, I think I think that's going to be the next target on the F&L List... Diagram to 3 with all the Dino support it just makes sense to me especially with VFD sleeping in the great card graveyard.

@@BallschanovChugavich I don’t think that’s much of a problem given AFD can’t search the same field spell and even if it could do you know of any deck that can use AFD with Diagram that has any synergy?
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective I've actually been running swordsoul manadome true kings and THINK if I try some things out I can get it to work. I use only 1 copy of the manadome fieldspell but could work the deck around to search it better, and go into AFD. Not sure otherwise though, I'm really hoping for that diagram at 3 tho haha praying.
The biggest takeaway from this video is they named one of the monsters Astalfo and that's all the reason I need to play this deck

A Link-1 monster that requires a specifically named monster(not archetypal name) with a higher level as a material???? That's something unlike the cliched effects, generic card search or additional summons design for Link-1 monsters (which many players wants just to break the archetype even it doesn't apply to any archetype just like S-Force or Appliancers or any low-tier archetypes)....
Only downside to him losing the (Infer)Noble Knight is not being able to summon him if you're locked into NKs, and sadly it gains charles original effects so if you summom EC with Custennin the effect does not pass to the link

I fear Link 1's when they have versatility for the low investment... yes, Sera I'm looking at you. Fetching Traps and Monsters while being immune to Imperm was a massive oversight of this deck.

Man, just imagine if this support came out in 2020 so the deck could do more than just Halqdon hand ripping nonsense. I mean you're still probably going to do the Aqua Dolphin stuff if you open Neo Space Connector but it's nice to have options.

Understandable, to be honest. I personally didn't de-test the Infernobles as much as others did because even back then Neospace Connector itself was a choke point. Also I didn't think the boards Infernobles put up themselves were unfair outside of bullshit like additional hand rips from Smoke Grenade or possibly Omega. Right now though... it actually seems like a nice strong aggro warrior deck which I think everyone wanted to see get consistency.
With the emphasis on fire warriors I think Sub Knight is the better 1 card islolde to use

As happy as I am that we're getting new Noble Knight support, it does make me a little sad that the new stuff gives a massive middle finger to the OG Knights.
Oh, give it time... I think Konami are still reeling from the massive oversight regarding Isolde. I'm sure eventually we'll get yet more cards based on the legends of our aurthurian knights as well.

The field spell is indirectly NK support though, Better than Round table
Just remember what happened in Master Duel, they still remember the brothers and that means they still love their Platinum cards.

When i saw Bradamente i was like "finally i can start using more Infernoble and not just not related cards to make it more playable" then this dropped and i spent 5 minutes crying of happines

Charlemagne is a much better Isolde than Isolde as he can also dump Noble Arms Equip Spell that you might have drawn - because you didn't want them in the hand in the first place - so you could get the effect of Excaliburn, though that would mean you were supplementing Infernoble Knights with Noble Knights in the first place.
well, some lines require to dump 4 noble arms which can include Excalibur. In midgame, if you get to summon a Noble Knight R4, you get to force out so much stuff because of Excalibur and possibly go into Zeus or even revive Charles because of R5 Artorigus

Excaliburn is a worse oliver, The GY xyz effect is nice but will barely ever change the outcome of a game, Much more important in OG NK
Which noble arms do you not want in hand? I run Destiny, Joyeuse, Autonomous, Living fossil at 1 and Durendal at 3 (2 When almace releases) - You wouldn't complain about any of those in starting hand except maybe AAU if going first, Even destiny can be fodder for oliver.
And if you're unlucky enough to draw 2 unique equips in your starting hand, You use those to progress your board further
If done right when this support drops you will have 2 S/T negs and psuedo spot removal at minimum, If your equips are protecting charlemagne, Mill level 1 roland with Princess effect, add equip in the end phase then you don't have to sacrifice your INK equips

I mean the Noble Knights were based on the Legends of King Arthur and the Infernoble's seem to be based on British Kings after that... in this case King Charlemagne one of the most iconic roman emperors of all time.
ok i'm already not a fan of just give it a link 1 that does everything, makes your laundry, does your taxes and cooks a 5 michelin star meal every day but this really went to far. at this point you might as well just errata the card to also have that effect. but i will overlook this because the epic poem of charls is the most ridiculous name a yugioh card ever had combined with it breaking the entire lore of the archetype turning them from some real thing in the yugioh universe to a fanfic

I think the negation effect on link Charles shouldn't have been once per turn since it isn't a "free" negate and you still have to invest heavily into the Noble Knight strategy to get him out. But I'll take what I can get, I suppose

Sub knight the better 1 card isolde now, Too much generic emphasis on fire warriors, Allows you to swap your reborn for a rekindling or 2, And doesn't die to an ash/Baits the veiler or impeem so isolde can cook - Not to mentiom Therion bull + Squeaknights SOPT effect is a free savage
