Another deck that is worth mentioning is Tri-Spright where I tend to forego the nimble engine in place of a tri-brigade engine seeing as Sprind lets you dump Kitt to get a kerrass in hand pretty consistently. I can regularly end my turn with a melffy of the forest, melffy wally, and a tri-brigade revolt as points of interaction through being interacted with. If allowed to pop off, you can add DDL, Shuraig, keeping the Sprind on board as an additional bounce in addition to the bounce (or negate if you play herald of the arc light) you get off of melffy combo, an I:P into S:P line, or a Zeus play if needed. Its just a cool deck that won WCQ Barcelona in 2022 even before they got the second wave of melffy support.
Sprights are one of those decks that on their own you’re not gonna care, but if someone is a really good pilot with it; you will get your shit kicked in
I only just realised you can summon it to your opponent's field I'm gonna use it with TTThrust in MD. Edit: I mean, even without it, Spright Double Cross is a pretty good Thrust target
Nah dude that’s just not true at all. “Tear getting a slap on the wrist” on master duels banlist is just wrong. Master duel has both ishizu millers banned, tearlament merrli banned, both ishizu shufflers at 1, with perlereino, Kitkallos, havnis and tear kash at 1
@@DeejTiuz i think it’s up there with FKSE and Yubel, just a bit high rolly, especially the new variations being developed. It’s probably the 3rd best deck in 60 card variant? No fiendsmith is a nonsequitor. Tearlaments can play Fiendsmith too and frequently was playing Engraver in TCG to turbo into Beatrice (and a free body if you mill it and can go through a light fiend)

I thought Substitoad was the problem in Frogs, not Treeborn Frog. Ronintoadin and Substitoad have never coexisted off the banlist outside of a short stint early on. Substitoad is also a level one which hampers Spright and Frog synergies.
My best result ever was in AGOV format with "melffy" spright. The deck was a really good meta call into that format, basically auto winning going first into half the best decks that format and with really solid play going second into most(except R-Ace) with a ton on non-engine space to play around with and a ton of flexibility. Unfortunately the problem as of more recent is a combination of being just enough less consistent than other decks and really struggling to go second into anything tier 2 or higher at the moment. Really love the deck, just wish we could get better extenders/follow up and not the 69th way to make toad.

Nothing happened to spright. Still a viable competitive deck and powerful engine that can top events.the problem is that it isn’t the best generic engine you can play anymore. And 97% of spright players only played them because they were the best engine option. Now with snake eyes they aren’t, and those people hopped off the bandwagon. Still top tier potential. Just too many sheep

Spright by itself ends on 2 negates with Red and Carrot. There is no reason not to add other things. What Spright needs is its own archetypal boss monster.

Surely not one of the top decks in Edison. We're way past frogs being any good. Just remove sub from the game, return ronin and frogs will literally only see rogue play, instead of being literally unplayable atp
It's obvious both toad and ronin can't coexist in a post pote environment so ronin ban properly addresses them while doing the least damage possible, especially with ice barrier support substituting ronin's loss to an extent, ronin ban also lets substitoad come back with relatively few issues

In hindsight, Spright shouldve have been Tier 0 in the OCG vs Tearlaments. We just discovered the power too late then Ishizu showed us the light
