The one sword that the french museums claims to own is "la joyeuse" because this sword was used for the sacrament of kings. The true legendary sword is Durendal, it's kind of the same as excibur.
Heck a mountain side monastery claims to have the real durendal as there is a sword that is plugged into the mountain side near it that is also chained to the mountain.
Something I love about the archetype is the card "Horn of Olifant" because it references a specific moment in the legend the infernoble knights come from. The card has you destroy a "Roland" monster specifically in order to summon three infernobles from deck, referencing the moment in "Song of Roland" where the knight Roland blows the Horn of Olifant when he's outmatched and about to die to signal that he needs help from King Charlemange
Actually, Joyeuse is an actual sword that was used during the crowning of Kings in France since the 12th century so while it's not a magic sword, it's a sword that was transmitted from Kings to Kings and might have belonged to Charlemagne.

it blows my mind that people still think Infernoble is not a good deck. it's not Tier 1 but 100% people will lose to it if they aren't prepared since it doesn't lose to droll like people think it does. they're just hand ripping themselves for 1 at that point.

1:57 I've heard you say this several times now so.... AHAKTUALLY.... TLDR: - King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table = legends - Charlemagne and his paladins = real knights who people later made legends about Charles the Great (or Charlemagne) was not a made up character from legends. He was the emperor of the "Holy Roman Empire" (France) from 800 AD (when the pope crowned him) to 814 AD (when he died). He was constantly at war with the arabs, and had paladins like Roland to fight alongside him. In the Middle-ages some french poets wrote a series of poems about him and his paladins, known as the "Carolingian Cycle" (or Matter of France), containing some real history and some myths. It is entirely possible the sword in the museum mentioned in the YGOrg set spoilers is actually his sword. You are mixing Charles up with King Arthur, who was the legendary king of Britain who pulled Excalibur out of a rock and became king because of some prophesy. These are purely legends known as the Matter of Britain. In the 1500s and 1600s some authors wrote poems where they used both the Matter of France and Matter of Britain to make it more interesting. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
really like decks with sort of another way to play like metaphis bannish the own cards, firekings or union monster lines like Koitsu (still waiting for the -tsu support ;D;D;D) and deck types around equipcards. Sadly I do not like the noble knights ;D and a shame that u do not include the all mights merlin in your deck ;D;D;D
They can do work but it would be in a 60 card deck, you would have so many searchers that literally you could just spam over and over cards to summon extra deck monsters and probably a 3600k Apollusa
Arguable. It's trading a lot of the strengths of Infernoble for hand traps that might not even be good against the meta while slimming the engine down enough that Droll goes from mostly turn ending to impossible to play through unless you open exactly Connector. Cutting back on Gearfried is super strange given it's one of the only low to the ground backup plays we have.
Bro I’m starting to get to the point where I think Dimension Shifter needs to be banned. The fact that any deck that can use it just ALWAYS uses it an it gives them free game wins against like 30% of the decks in the game is ridiculous.
Are people really not on MetalSilver Armor? That card is ridiculous & I cut Phoenix blade for it. Also try it out with igknights, the deck becomes insane.
How important is Baronne to the deck? Because this actually looks like it would be a solid budget deck otherwise, with only the Heritage of the Chalice being expensive otherwise.
I'd say it's good to have but not absolutely necessary, definitely playable without but you just might die to super poly sometimes. Just wait until the 25th anniversary rarity collection to get a baronne imo
It's good, but luckily not necessary. Your main ways to make Baronne are off of a Charles or Gearfried, so if you don't have Baronne, you'll just be stuck with a specific negate instead of an omni, which is still fine.
Well, omni negates are always good to have but Gearfried and especially Charlemagne having a soft once per turn for magic/trap negate can handle well without the Baronne.

@@AggronOverlord_306and with how Angelica works, idk if we’ll see a Roland that’s a boss monster smh
Also make astolfo good while you're at it
@@tidalfront2360he is good enough. Maybe just making it hard once per turn or something instead of once per duel.
@@tidalfront2360or maybe add a new monster that's a giant knight that can be summoned when Astolfo is banished or something.
Build the deck recently. I already can’t wait for for the new support to arrive to MD.
Now Rata has no choice but admit that these Noble Knights are busted.
Why are Kashtira players allergic to making Shangri-Ira?
it blows my mind that people still think Infernoble is not a good deck. it's not Tier 1 but 100% people will lose to it if they aren't prepared since it doesn't lose to droll like people think it does. they're just hand ripping themselves for 1 at that point.
If its any consolation, Charlemagne is also in a gacha game now.
It was in Fate Extella Link ages ago as well. Plus his counterpart
Econ take attack with zeus over lay for zeus legendary move
There's 2 pretty insane 1 card combos, one with sublimation knight and another with the newly released rescue hedgehog, that both get the full combo+extra. If someone wants me to post the combo, I will. 😊
When it got announced it made me imagine how much better links would've been if they were just the same boss monster of an archetype with a small difference. Nowadays they are just stepping stones 😂
Finally been waiting on this
1:57 I've heard you say this several times now so.... AHAKTUALLY....
TLDR:
- King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table = legends
- Charlemagne and his paladins = real knights who people later made legends about
Charles the Great (or Charlemagne) was not a made up character from legends.
1:58 Alright, taking all bets. How long before the French cancel MBT for calling their historic artifacts fake?
Every Infernoble deck (including mine) seems to play 42 cards! Why is that?
This might be a good budget deck tbh
really like decks with sort of another way to play like metaphis bannish the own cards, firekings or union monster lines like Koitsu (still waiting for the -tsu support ;D;D;D) and deck types around equipcards. Sadly I do not like the noble knights ;D
and a shame that u do not include the all mights merlin in your deck ;D;D;D
not that anyone would, but can the original noble knight and infernoble knight support work with each other?
They can do work but it would be in a 60 card deck, you would have so many searchers that literally you could just spam over and over cards to summon extra deck monsters and probably a 3600k Apollusa
hooly shit first tmt to have a good list, cheers to this historical date
@@geek593Depends. 2-3 Gearfried is only really worth it in a Droll meta.
Which, tbf, this is. So i still would include multiples.
The Matter of France is different!!!!!
I'm going to be real as someone from Alaska I didn't even know there was going to be a regional up here... dang
Bro I’m starting to get to the point where I think Dimension Shifter needs to be banned. The fact that any deck that can use it just ALWAYS uses it an it gives them free game wins against like 30% of the decks in the game is ridiculous.
It and Droll need to go.
"But Dark World!"
Ban some Dark World cards.
@@geek593droll is fine. If droll is playable the format has other issues. DS is much different
isnt that the point of a tech card? That any deck has access to it and it crushes a percentage of meta decks?
@@ich3730 DS isn’t really a tech card in decks like Kash and floo, it synergies with the deck itself
@@piccolo2966i mean amgel ring will solve that soon anyway. And baronne is strong for the deck, but you can play without of course.
It's nice to have, not necessary. Make it with gear and any lvl 1 tuner. If you burn the baronne negate, just tag out for gear which is also nice.
Game 1 could he not chain Gearfried in Damage step?
I am not seeing a reason not to add metalsilver armor here. Having a monster targeting effects floodgate seems pretty good.
deck is already over 40 cards. maybe in the side
It's so weird not seeing it considering how difficult it is to break just one Charlemagne backed by a Gearfried or Baronne.
@@fortidogi8620 I am sure the deck wouldn't be devastated with 1 less copy of durendal or just 43 cards and this significantly increases the ceiling and can even make your board a pain to deal with even with drnm.
I love the kashtira hate lol
mbt, be real with us... did you not actually have a round table for that opening bit?
Merlin Bussy TastesGood aka MBT
Still waiting for them to make a set of something-Noble Knights (?) based on the Matter of Rome.
Well I’ve found my next deck.
Is bradamante not good?
Charles White the Great. 😂
Nice. I was kind of hoping this would happen.
Love the video man. keep it up!
Actually, that seems like a really fun deck going forward, Maybe not tear 1 but still fun and consistent combo decks utilizing many moving pieces that kinds fit.
Probably there will be a combination that will turn it into Tier 1.
Screw it i’ll make my own noble knights with flames and twinks!
I don't like the round table of noble knights, you just can't play fair and square on it.
