    Lots of facilities prefer LPNS because their budget doesn't allow them to have ALL RNs so they prefer LPNS to stay within budget.

    Peace be to you! I'm a new subscriber. This is REALLY valuable information. My mother was an LPN for 43 years! I started out as a CNA and was ready to apply to LPN school. The good Lord had other plans for me. Keep up the great work you are doing!😀

    Thank you for this video because so many youtubers would say you might as well go in to RN and instead of going to school to be a LPN then a RN. I’m so glad I decided to click on your video I was about to not go to school to be a LPN but thank god I watched you ima just go to get my LPN license then go to school to be a RN. (I would be very experienced with the education which would be nice).

      So glad I could help.If you can go the Rn route right away if that’s what you want to be and you have the pre requisites there’s nothing wrong with going straight to rn but there’s also nothing wrong with climbing the ladder,as I said in the video,there are many benefits to being an Lpn too.Good luck on your journey love,keep your head up and don’t let anyone make you feel no type of way for your decision.This is your life,so do what makes YOU happy and what is best for YOU and only YOU. 💕

    Maybe Canada is different from the US when it comes to IV’s but as a PN we cannot start IV’s unless you have a post grad IV certification. But we can always monitor the IV’s (:

    • @kiearacelina
      @kiearacelina  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh ok,that’s good to know.Here in Canada we can start,stop and monitor iv’s.In Canada we don’t have adn nurses.In order to be a registered nurse you have to have a bachelors in nursing so the closest thing to an adn is a Lpn here and we actually call them Rpn which stands for Registered practical nurse.We can also administer iv meds in some places but that requires a certification.Without the certification you can only give vitamins and electrolytes. 😊

      I was able to start IVs in Kentucky as an LPN. I guess that there are some drastic differences in different states.

      jynniboo thank you so much for your comment lol.To be honest it’s quite hard but I plan what videos I want to make and what I want to talk about ahead of time and then I just take 20-25 mins or so to record and edit on my free time .I wish you the best of luck in your journey and you should definitely start a channel.

    I’m trying hard to come to a decision on should I choose LPN first or should I just jump right on in to the RN program because I have all my prerequisites and I’m a cna but choosing which one is hard can you give me your opinion please..... and your videos are very helpful 👍🏾

    • @kiearacelina
      @kiearacelina  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for your comment and I’m glad you find my videos helpful.My opinion is that if you know you want to become an rn and you have all your pre-reqs GO FOR IT! As long as you don’t have any major responsibilities and stuff like that.If you do have responsibilities like kids or rent ... The Rn route may be harder and in that case the Lpn program might be a bit better but if I were you I would go straight for the Rn route since you have all your prerequisites.I wish you the best of luck no matter which route you take and I’m sure you’ll make the right decision for you.❤️

    • @tiffanywilliams4693
      @tiffanywilliams4693 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nursing With Key Thank you so much and I think I should since I don’t have any major responsibilities like kids or rent so therefore I think I should just go straight into the RN program because I do have time it’s just I’ll have to go prn on my job but otherwise I have faith in GOD I can do it but again thank you so much 😊

    After finishing my 12 months Lpn program could I go work as an Lpn in Canada ?

    • @kiearacelina
      @kiearacelina  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you :)
      Since the lpn program in canada is a 2 year college program and since in canada lpn's are now being tought how to administer iv medications,i dont think the 12 month vocational program in the united states would be recognized here.The best thing to do would be to call the board of nursing in what ever province youre looking into and get the answer from them but im pretty sure you would have to do some kind of equivalance.Like i said it would be best to call them,they would be able to answer your questions more accurately than i can :) good luck !

    My adn program is only $7200 + books and uniforms.This is way less than many LPN programs.It is only 4 semesters.So some people might be better off to move where there is a cheaper LPN or ADN program.

    • @kiearacelina
      @kiearacelina  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You must have been lucky because thats usually not the case (well not in canada anyway).My lpn program was 800$ books included and uniforms were 25$.See the difference? i Dont know if these things apply to the US because i not from there.I can only speak on what i know and what i know is that over here in Canada ,adn program prices are uncomparable to lpn programs.

    • @iMSoFlyiBlowMyMind
      @iMSoFlyiBlowMyMind 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Nursing With Key omg $800 for the program?? That's even cheaper than the CNA school I went to...then again I'm in the U.S.
