In AZ, USA it’s 2 years for nursing associates. Almost all LPN programs I’ve seen are 12 months. I start LPN school next month! LPN program is $5k at a community college and $10k at community college for RN.
Congrats on starting your nursing journey 🎉🌹. 5-10K for LPN or RN is really not bad compared to some prices I’ve heard. That’s actually super doable ! 🔥
Hello, I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex, be it RN or PN. He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns
Good for you in continuing your education. I am sooo happy to be leaving mostly nursing home work. I saw great jobs in dialysis, home care, IV nurse and admissions. I am happy for you! I tell people all the time, keep going. The duties will be more stressful as we get older and have not advanced.
In my hospital in BC, the only difference between an LPN and RN is picc line, blood transfusion and telemetry. LPN do every single thing including initial assessments and IV. It is crazy
Yup I’m sure!! Everywhere is totally different, that’s what complicated about the LPN license. What you can do will all depend on where you’re working .

@@MrsKae The programs in QC aren’t even real bridges. There’s the 2 year accelerated option but you have to have all your electives done first or, you can get your associates in 3 years and you’ll have 3 days a week of class instead of 5 . Super weird options… that’s why I’d rather leave Quebec. STFX, Trent, Nippising, CBU, Univeristy of Saskatchewan, centennial/brown & Algonquin/university of Ottawa all offer bridges. CBU & Saskatchewan have the 2 year option (in person) the rest are 3 years either in person or hybrid 😇
Associate degree nursing is 3 years in the US. When people say 2 years they do not count the pre-req classes which might you take you between 1 to 1 1/2 yrs.
True. I'm in the process of taking my pre-reqs for the ADN, which is going to take me 2 years prior to the Nursing program which is another 2 years. 4 years total. I'm thinking about going the LPN route this way I can enter the field a bit quicker this way while I'm doing my ADN RN program. I can work at the same time.

Starting my LPN program this September 🎉in Manitoba. But can you pls shed more light on working in the U.S as a Canadian L.P.N ? And if you were to bridge to RN in the US would you be able to use that back in Canada?
Congrats on getting accepted 🎉💗 yes, I plan on making a video about that but, I had to get my education evaluated and once it was seen as equivalent, the report was sent to the board of nursing at the state I chose to register in. From there, they sent me my link to register for the NCLEX. I already had a company ready to sponsor my coming to the US on condition that I passed. As for bridging, if you do the BSCN route, you’ll be able to use it in Canada however, because the ASN/ADN program is only 2 years in the USA whereas our RNs in Canada have a 4 year university degree, I don’t believe their education is recognized . There may be some exceptions such as experience and other factors but, for the most part, it’s a no for ASN. I hope that helps ! 💗
Can you highlight on the websites to get sponsorship. I am approved to take PN Nclex with the state of Minnesota; but I don't know the next step after that.
