Levitate is a status effect that I'm very excited about. At surface level it seems to be a stun with a longer duration but the drawback of taking them out of range of many melee operators. Though I think it works even better than a stun, for example with the sea crawlers disabling their aoe damage while levitated and I'm not sure stun has that effect. Unlike sleep it synergizes well with a lot of operators and particularly operators that could use some synergies to breathe new life into their playstyle. An example not showcased here is trapmaster operators can place a trap under a blocked enemy if you levitate them, this is huge for frost and dorothy who are very reliant on traps for their damage but obviously not bad for robin either. Additionally many of the new marksman sniper modules will benefit from levitate. Unfortunately 1 operator that it doesn't synergize with but should have is Glaucus since her kit works vs drones rather than aerial enemies.
For your question the egg crawlers ability is something they have to activate while they werent in any status effect that includes stun, so yeah stun does work in that regard.
@@Barro1 I don't think it makes sense for them to remove it cause levitate means the enemy isn't on the ground tile itself which allows you to deploy the trap below the enemy that is levitated. It wouldn't make sense if all of a sudden drones and such aerial enemies now have the ability to stop you from putting traps below them.
I'm intending on getting Ho'olheyak when she's out, and I want to combo her with Qani mostly for his supplemental Levitate and arts fragility. I have a lot of other stuff to build after my spark, but he's going onto my 'fun stuff to build' list together with Puzzle once I've sp[ent all of the resources I need.

This video helped me understand the mechanic of the operator and seeing myself consider adding him to my future IS runs. Too bad that I couldn't get Irene when she was available.... 😢 But, Qani's synergy with casters seem very high with skill 2. Also, her skill 1 can definitely help with CC's no caster tags! Foreseeing Qanipalaat being added to the future caster melt down videos soon. I really love and appreciate you go in-depth of the mechanics and demo instead of just saying "you should" or "nah". Keeping it up! :)
I bought him and now im out of red certs and have to pay the price of chip upgrade using yellow certs cause i want to upgrade texas. Bad planning indeed
All i could think of S1 usage in general content is to deal with those high def drone in a situation where there's a lot of ground enemies. It's a specific situation and one that late-game players probably already has an answer to, so really it's only for niche or new players

He would been great, if his talent also affect physical damage (Since coordinating with snipers is easier) It's sad to see how many 5* operators just fell 1 step short from being great.😂

While levitate they won't trigger traps. That might be what you're thinking of. That applies more to enemies with innate levitation.
