    I don't know how I found you but you are a hidden gem of a channel.
    I do electronics repair but i always struggled replacing headphone jacks and wouldn't last that long.
    Thank you. I learned a lot of tricks from binge watching you.
    Now my mom and girlfriend will find their nail polish on my workbench.

    I have the Logitech g432, I cut the wire and a total of 3 came out, each wrapped in copper, as if each cable had its own ground. in this case do I have to put the three grounds together and solder them into a single jack ring?

    • @TechscrewDIY
      @TechscrewDIY  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      maybe, best way is check with multimeter wires or open headphone housing, where is cable and check on board where these wires are soldered.

      1. There are 4 screws on left headphone
      2. My white mic cable was covered by gold ground.
      All working now...

    Hey TS, I only have 5 different wires in my headset;
    Red
    Green Copper
    Green
    Copper White
    And Blue.
    There was a tightly packed group of fibres that I cut away but I twisted them around and they came apart to show nothing…
    Any ideas? Thanks.

      Hi Jakube1735,
      I have the same layout of wires. Did you figure out how to get the sound and microphone working? I'm struggling to get the microphone working....

    • @jakube1735
      @jakube1735 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BShiffLDN I have the same problem with my mic too. I believe the “copper white” wire is two separate wires just wound together, unfortunately couldn’t complete soldering bc solder stopped sticking to my iron, need to scrub off the rust.

      @@BShiffLDN Also strangely, my ground was not soldered properly and fell off, however both headphone speakers were still emitting noise.

      Just wanna say I really appreciate these comments as my headset only had 5 wires, one being the white and copper wrapped around together, and was able to figure it all out from there so thank you! I was very confused 😅

    I took my headset to a repair guy for headjack replacement ( couldn't find 3 mm jack replacement so he used the old one and put it back) then i noticed that the volume wasn't loud as before. It is normal to lose some volume or he messed up something?
    Ps= I don't know how to solder or have a soldering tools that's why I took to someone to do it.
