      @@akshayhadawale9696 So far I recovered. Whenever I use my left/right hand I make sure not to put pressure on my elbows so I tend to sit while using my phone and ,when I'm laying down I prevent putting pressure on the nerve on my elbow so I kinda tilt it a bit and putting pillow or soft cushion help. Make sure you know which part of the nerve is damage it's either on the shoulders, neck and elbow this is where most part the damage occurs so try to determine which area. There are exercise on the TH-cam that well help you determine which part is damage then do less pressure on them and let it rest for some days. If it's in the nick or shoulders probably on your sleeping positions try to adjust. And I constantly do some stretching, before I sleep and in the morning there are some videos on TH-cam for that. Good luck I hope you recover soon. And of course check with your doctor numbness might also cause by other underlying diseases such as diabetes or mild stroke but with our situation right now doctors might not be available. Sorry for my bad grammar English is not my first language. I hope I help you out.

      @islanti i got 3 days ago. My pinky fingers is so hard to move now, my elbow is very sensitive and when add pressure it's feels like electrified. Last night was the worst attack of the pain. It's feels like I pushed up to my limit and the most affected is elbow, forearm and biceps. Even my pinky fingers feels tingly. I read in Google. Don't be so foreful in it or you might get it into more bad condition that will result into surgery.

    Finally! Cubital Tunnel Syndrome! I cut hair with my right dominant hand. But my left outside wrist gets really sore so that I drop the hair I am holding to be cut. It has been worsening. A wrist brace/wrap has not really helped. I knew it wasn't carpal tunnel or tennis elbow. Now I know - THANK YOU!! My other issue is that I cannot walk my dogs anymore due to Morton's neuroma. You can have both Cubital Tunnel Syndrome and a Herniated Disc at the same time. A herniated disc can cut the flow going down to the cubital tunnel making it difficult to recover after repetitive use, cell phone, elbow flexion when sleeping etc.

Now I am staying home with my twin boys and I've had the worst flare ups yet having to carry and burp 2 babies ! I just had a cubital release done on Thurs last week, so 4 days ago, because of Ulnar neuropathy, but I also have a herniated disc in my neck, 4 of them in fact, and before my surgery was done they had to do a cool test where they sent electrical signals from my fingers through each nerve to narrow down which area of my body is causing the symptoms, the spinal nerves or the ulnar nerve itself. Luckily I live in Canada and have a rare neurological disorder so I already have a neurologist and there was no wait time involved for me, but for those who are not as lucky, I just wanted to say my doctors did these 3 tests you guys described as well as the fancy one! You guys are the best! I've been having this problem from holding my cell phone in front of my face too much. The first thing I thought of was I should check what the most famous physical therapists on the internet have to say about this. I'm definitely going to take your advice. Thank you Brad & Bob (wanted to be sure Brad knew that sometimes he can come first since he may have been coming second since he was a child)!

    Hi there Bob and Brad. I have those symptoms like numbness in 4th and 5th finger and side part of my left palm for 4 weeks, went to neurologyst last week, he refered me to do EMG test. The results said mild axonal damage of sensory ulnar nerve of left hand withouth signs of demoelynization which doesn't allow to point directly at the point of injury. I didn't do anything weird on the day happened but there were some factors like 1. some bug bit me that day on my forearm, a bee or a wasp, noticed afterwards and since I am alergic I got reaction across all left forearm, it was swollen for 2 days. 2. On that day like every Friday I did upper body workout lifting weights including a lot of tricep exercises but nothing like 1MAX REP, usual sets of 12+ reps, medium weights. 3. I am a desk worked, and work in front of computer 8+hours per day. This Friday again I will visit the neurologyst with EMG results, should I ask him to refer me to physical therapist or orthopedic doctor? I have a feeling they will give me some anti-iflamattory drugs and B vitamin complex. The lady who performed EMG didn't say anything except, this should heal up....in some months and I am going crazy here :( It seems it is getting better each day but very slightly. I took a break from weight lifting but I'd like to know when / if I can go back to working out....what a iritating ilness that is...

      Are you any better? Been going through this a month now, and wondering if it will be better with time, or if surgery is what I might be facing. I was working out regularly and playing the piano a lot. This pain is my reward for trying to better myself.

    All of this is great advice. I've had this in both arms for 10 years now. The total pain seems to be shared between the arms so that if it is really apparent in one arm, it disappears in the other. But the tests at the elbow are all positive for cubital tunnel. Still, I wonder if the problem is in my neck. The doctors have shown no interest in me describing my symptoms, but only in elbow x rays and nerve conduction tests which indicate no problems at all. I haven't done any arm exercises in 10 years as even push ups will cause a week long flare up. As a guitarist, this is very frustrating.

    • @lemonpulpmusic
      @lemonpulpmusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh my. I'm a guitarist. I've had TWO ulnar nerve transpositions last year. I'm still in bad shape. Worse shape than prior surgery. Your symptoms sound exactly like mine! Arm exercises destroy me for a week :( I hate this so much. Had to put the guitar down this morning.

    • @andrewjames8114
      @andrewjames8114 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm a guitarist too, go to surgery, do it. It's the only answer and it will heal you... If it goes from one side to the other it could be your neck too, I get it on the left side, but not as bad as the right. Guitarists have the worst formula, you bend your neck, you move your arm. I have no gone to surgery, but I am about to. It's the only answer, and frustrating isn't the word for it. I can't do a push up either. I thought I was an idiot for not doing surgery, for seven years, but you're at ten years, no pun intended. 100% find any doctor, preferably a good orthopedic surgeon, it's a basic surgery.
      Also, one cubital tunnel can cause another one, because it throws off your posture.
      Go for surgery, be you again, it's sad, I get it, but you gotta do it. I promise you that surgery is the solution for you. I thought that it could "make it worse", it doesn't, and if you break down what the surgery is, you'll realize it that they can't go wrong, it only helps. Make sure when they do the surgery that they do the "satchel" that holds the nerve so it doesn't rebounce back out of place.
      You have a "rubbery" cubital tunnel, like I do, it bounces around, don't think about it, go to surgery and in 5 months you'll be human again.
      It's hell on earth, I know, trust me. Contact your local orthopedic surgeon or you one day you'll wake up and you won't feel your pink or ring finger, that's what happens if they don't move your ulnar nerve, as of now you still feel it right? So you can reverse it...
      Every day it gets worse, so get surgery and reverse it before you are unable to reverse it.

    • @andrewjames8114
      @andrewjames8114 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lemonpulpmusic Hey, two things, check for a neck pinch, then, if there is still problem then have your doctor do a third surgery and put a stich in, or a "satchel" to hold your ulnar nerve in place, yet letting it move freely.

    • @andrewjames8114
      @andrewjames8114 3 ปีที่แล้ว
