Cooler is absolutely the best figure ive gotten in a while. I want to track down ss4 goku but cooler is amazing and yea his tail is weird but at the right angle its no big deal. Db/z was my fav show as a kid so having cooler and my ss goku from namek (with the torn gi) have to be the 2 best figures sh figurarts put out in my opinion. We need less gokus and vegetas (even tho i love them) and more coolers and janembas!
My representative for Transformers this year is Airazor. She looks great, has great articulation in both modes and a really fun transformation that is also show accurate. I know some people have QC issues here and there, for me it was hard finding some decently painted eyes, but when Airazor works, she really works, and for a really good price.
I literally picked up Goliath today and I totally dig it. One hand joint is extremely loose, other joints are super tight some tlc will take care of it. I’m just excited that I found it in store and I didn’t have to pay a scalper or wait for a preorder.
I can’t argue that Cooler deserved a spot on this list but Mafex Gambit was just leaps and bounds over all of them. Mafex was always a…gambit…in terms of QA but they’ve really bounced back from those issues. Unfortunately, he sold out quickly and third party vendors went merciless on prices. Truly, if you can get a hold of one of these, it is a solid release from Mafex. Love your videos!
I think Goku ssj4 should have taken the spot of the Ginyu Force members, since they are loaded with qc issues that prevent you from posing them properly without breaking some joints. On the other hand, Goku ssj4, apart from having very solid yet fluid articulations, sports sculpted joints for the very first time in the whole line and gave us the most accurate facial sculpt for Goku to date As regards to Cooler, I couldn't agree more: best Dragon Ball s.h.f release of the year, hands down
The turtle figures legit look right out of the comics. I got them because of your reviews snd didnt regrer it. Your videos are always a cut above the rest man
Nice list, I'm not surprised by the various companies represented here: Storm Collectibles, Neca, S.H. Figuarts. I only have one Storm Collectibles figure, but it's really well done (Hulk Hogan, yellow trunks). Neca: so many good TMNT figures. I do wish the Pizza Monsters' thigh sockets were a bit tighter, as certain poses can become difficult. If I ever see a Mondo Gecko, I would pick him up, but if not, no huge loss. And S.H. Figuarts, all of the Dragon Ball figures I have, I really like. Aside from some inconsistencies in sizes (kid Goku head size vs adult Goku head size for example). For Dragon Ball I've decided to stick to mostly pre Z era figures. I collect too many as it is. Welp, on to checking out your other 2 end of the year lists...
I like the Optimus Primal, but my favorite Transformer this year by far has to be the studio series 86 Hot Rod. The figure looks great in both modes with only a couple of downsides. The poseability is great and the transformation is fun. He comes with plenty of accessories and I kept him on my desk to play with for a very long time before displaying him with the other 86 movie cast
I don't know how, but yesterday I stumbled on a Goliath figure at my local Walmart and instantly got him. Haven't set him up yet, but he looks fantastic. I would like an add on that lets us replace his wings with his cloak instead though, that would be awesome. As for another figure I really liked, it's a bit more of a personal pick because it's one of my favorite holiday movies, but the Turbo Man action figure released earlier this year. It's about as screen accurate as you can get and it's freaking huge for the price. I'd say only get this is you liked Jingle All the Way though, otherwise it's not even close to other figures on this list.

Goliath is easily my pick for the year. Wings don't bother me knowing Bronx will get the cloaked wings and the way I have him posed makes sense for the wings to be spread out. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do but damn it he's a beast. Chromedome too, found him at a discount shop for $20 and he's worth much more than that. Huge, imposing, excellent paint and accessories, and the VHS cover art box.
The one thing i think beast wars optimus needed was the mask face. I got the nemesis version also for thah mask face and the grimlock because i have the one from.when i was a kid and am.afraid to move it because of the gold so i wanted a new one
Anthony has good taste. I have a lot of the figures he put on his list. I have the Modular Iron man, Raditz, Ginyu Force, E, Honda. No wonder I watch his reviews.
I’ve got the standard original super shredder and it is epic. I think I prefer the Shadow version but the cape off the one you showed at the beginning which ever version that is.
Cooler was the best but mine is defective because his foot socket is higher but I also forces me to make him have a wider stance so he looks cool it a minor problem
10) Super 7 ReAction Hot Rod. Would be higher if the ReAction line actually had posable limbs. Like the far flung future of the 80s. But it’s a solid little figure and has some great sculpting. 9) McFarlane Deluxe Mandarin Spawn. Has some stability issues holding it back. Oddly the regular release version has none of those issues. 8) Marvel Legends Proper Color She-Hulk. The new head is perfection. 7) Sh Figuarts Goku Black. A bit bland. But still a solid figure. Needed some paint to set him off. 6) MOTU Origins Panthor. For what he is and meant to be, he is a really cool four legged ride for the collection. 5) Marvel Legends Nimrod. A solid chunk of plastic. I waited a long time for a Nimrod, and while it’s not as well articulated as I’d like, it’s pretty spot on. 4) Marvel Legends Fantomex. I know nothing of the character, but an awesome sculpt and design and decent articulation made me love it. 3) Transformers WFC Netflix Sparkless Bot. For a mass produced figure by Hasbro, it’s paint apps are really good. Pictures really don’t do it Justice. 2) NECA Ultimate Stalker Predator. This thing is great. Shame it’s spear is a flimsy piece of crap. 1) Studio Series 86 Hot Rod. This thing is amazing. I have it and the MP version and this really gives the MP a run for its money.
Nice, I included Ares from Storm Collectibles and Mafex Superman in my top, I can't stand Mafex QC issues though, specially their paint issues are ridiculous for the price, I got the Peter B. Parker and it looks like a KO, terrible paint job, plus it came with two left feet with magnets, at least the articulation is decent and they did a good job with the faces and the clothes
NECA's been killing it on all fronts, especially with their horror output (I know Anthony doesn't collect them but New Blood Jason and Frankenstein are standouts)
I'm still amazed at the anti-NECA contingent of the collecting community who just evidently think the vast majority of buyers who don't have instant breakages, and love our NECA figures, are evidently all part of a paid cabal of conspiracists. As much I love my NECA figures, I'd love to be a paid shill getting free product even more! The only thing that beats Goliath is a free Goliath.
Man I wish NECA movie TMNT was actually sold in the US. You just can't buy it unless from a reseller. It's a great figure that NECA has horribly majorly dropped the ball on purely in distribution. Goliath I can walk into Target or get from retailers like BBTS no problem. Good luck trying to score a NECA TMNT movie figure if you don't live in Texas, CA, FL, or possible NY. Again buying it as MSRP.
Agreed with most of your choices but recome and butter I feel they are good but not outstanding figures, the batman year 2 from mcfarlane is really nice, but for me the best figure this year was the eva-01 from threezero. It's a beautiful 9 inch figure made with die cast parts, a lots of accessories, great paint job and great quality for a good price. Highly recommended. Happy holidays btw.
my top three are 3. rerelease of twilight princess link. my first figma and man figma are usually less beefy figures for a greater price point so i have stayed away in the past but man this figure made me fall in love with figma 2. SH figurarts Gojo Satoru. just solid possibility great price point. 1. Final form cooler. Hands down the best release of the year, up there with my favorite figures like none SS new broly, Nappa and SS3 goku. honorable mentions: the rerelease of Nappa and not a figure but the medieval adult line lego set.
Lots of Figuarts in the top tier. I agree cooler is amazing, but I don’t think burter and recoome ranks this high. While they both poses well and painted great, I think for recoome the head and armpit pieces drops out too easily for me

I would have nominated the McFarlane dc multiverse swamp thing megafig as numero uno if i had not gotten TWO totally grey non painted play dough version from gamestop. Besides that I would say 🤔 the kotal khan figure had the best sculpt and paint of any figure I bought this year with malefic spawn coming in a close second. I don't buy Hasbro anymore 😝
The amazing yamaguchi bakugo I think is a good contender for top 10 or at least an honorable mention. Really good articulation, the look of the figure is amazing and the amount of accessories you get with him is really good too. Only problem is that he’s a bit of a pain to pose since some parts fall off too easily. Other than that tho it’s a great figure.
Top 10 worst maybe. It's joints loose. Collar, and grenade forearm falls apart. Almost not playable and posable. Looks, articulation and effects are good but not enough for top 10 best.
My favorite was master cheif since I have a sweat spot for halo and its the best master cheif figure or halo figure released PERIOD but yeah ill give it that it is way to over priced 100 dollars would have been alot more fair of a price
I agree, I love my Cooler figure but for the price point there needs to be more accessories. I think I payed $125 for him and again he is a great figure but cmon at least add some blast/power up effects ffs.
I dont like the miles morales design. Why would you wear shorts over the costume with shoes, it looks tacky as hell. It wouldve made more sense to wear pants along with the hoodie and shoes, or no pants and no shoes at all with just the hoodie. It's pretty much like when people wear long socks with sandals, it just looks goofy as hell

The amazing yamaguchi bakugo I think is a good contender for top 10 or at least an honorable mention. Really good articulation, the look of the figure is amazing and the amount of accessories you get with him is really good too. Only problem is that he’s a bit of a pain to pose since some parts fall off too easily. Other than that tho it’s a great figure.
Top 10 worst maybe. It's joints loose. Collar, and grenade forearm falls apart. Almost not playable and posable. Looks, articulation and effects are good but not enough for top 10 best.
@@XennyArcane I guess I got lucky with mine then. Mine isn’t loose at all. Tho it can’t hold up the really big explosion at all.
Of course Cooler is the coolest.
My favorite was master cheif since I have a sweat spot for halo and its the best master cheif figure or halo figure released PERIOD but yeah ill give it that it is way to over priced 100 dollars would have been alot more fair of a price

I agree, I love my Cooler figure but for the price point there needs to be more accessories. I think I payed $125 for him and again he is a great figure but cmon at least add some blast/power up effects ffs.

I dont like the miles morales design. Why would you wear shorts over the costume with shoes, it looks tacky as hell. It wouldve made more sense to wear pants along with the hoodie and shoes, or no pants and no shoes at all with just the hoodie. It's pretty much like when people wear long socks with sandals, it just looks goofy as hell
