    For those of us hunting for one of these: the same appliance comes in many a guise: Cleanfix (who make them), Wap, Nilfisk, Alto, Berner, Sprüh Boy 2000 (Dr Schutz)...

    We used to have it here in Brazil in the 80’s over the brand WAP and it was made in violet, great machines!
    WAP used to produce at the same time a model called Hidrovac in light and dark grey that I learned recently was originally produced by Rowenta

    Liked the transparent dome, where you can see the dirty water being sucked onto it and deposited into the tank

    Prochem PowerBurst is a great chemical, however the better way to apply it would be with a pump up style pressure sprayer, let it dwell and then just extract with hot water. That way there's very little residue.

    • @huskyvacs
      @huskyvacs 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is correct. It also saves on your solution tubes being eaten up by the chemical after you store away the shampooer. I do this with all my carpet cleaning anyway but it really helps when you have vintage shampooers. You can get new rubber tubing at any hardware store of course but having to disassemble the entire shampooer and snake all that tubing through everywhere is never fun. You can also get a rubber carpet rake and agitate the carpet after spraying the solution to work in the cleaning chemical and loosen up any debris in the fibers.

      @BensSightSoundandAuto 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also saves on residue drying and clogging up the solution pump. All professional carpet cleaners do it this way.

    MPa - Megapascal Pressure Unit, probably how strong either the pump is or the suction rating.
