    These are very handy for a garage vac especially with that blower function and ability to suck up water. Now Roger needs THE Nilfisk vacuum. Legendary all aluminium Henry size GM80. Those are the real deal and made decades to this day.

    A utility vacuum is indeed a necessity for anybody who owns a garage and surrounding property. That Nilfisk is a handsome little dynamo! The additional tool kit completes the package comprehensively. Finally, the machine’s deep blue is intoxicating! Roger…have you ever been told you are a genius?

      Not just home owners, but renters as well, That way you could help out your super or landlord in trying to clean up a mess before it gets to places you don't want it to go, like the troubles with leaking water mains, malfunctioning appliances like washers and dryers, dish washers, you name it. Also handy like Roger said in defrosting his freezer. I rent my house with my Mom and Brother and having one handy helps in that regard.

    These lil wet and dry vacs are very powerful, I’ve got the similar karcher wd2 plus which I use for clearing out and around an indoor rabbit enclosure. I always use bags the only problem though is the filter takes up a lot of room in the tub. Other than that it’s a very good machine for picking up sawdust and hay.

    What I’d use it for: shampooing my truck’s interior.
    When I was an auto detailer, something we used was a bucket, a sponge, some degreaser, warm water, and a shop vac. It was relatively effective, and it’s a cheap way for those who already have a shop vac to start shampooing their car or truck interior. I can see this doing a fairly good job, albeit probably not as good as a dedicated carpet shampooer.

    I'm not sure if Nilfisk designed that machine, it has characteristics of an Emerson wet and dry vacuum. I mean, the filter's a bit different but the filter cage and lower motor/fan base looks very much like you would find on an Emerson (Ridgid, Workshop Vac, Craftsman, MasterCraft/Maximum, Hart etc.) machine. The difference I can see is the way the bag hooks to the machine as my Ridgid has the bag fitted to the intake that's on the drum itself, not unlike a Numatic Henry. Also, I don't know why people need the synthetic (plastic fibre thus bad for the environment) bags because these machines have the capability of fitting a HEPA cartridge filter inside the machine, if absolutely necessary. But people buy these vacuums for stuff you aren't really supposed to pick up with a household living area vacuum, including fine powders like talc, gypsum (plaster and drywall) dust, chalk, flour, etc. that can clog and kill household vacuums because they use the flow-through motor compared to utility and more premium vacuums (Kirby, Rainbow D4, E Series single speed and E2 twin speed, some central vacuums) using some kind of bypass cooling/peripheral or tangential discharge motors.
    The bag isn't unlike a Kirby bag where you push and twist. Interesting.
    Not just radiators, Roger, behind your fridge too, get down near the compressor and blow out the condenser coil. This is something people often don't realize or forget to do. I usually vacuum the condenser coil but I guess you could blow it.

    Thank you for the video, great tip about using it for vacuuming the frost out of a chest freezer, never seen that done before so will give that a go! Is this much better than the Vax 6131T that we have for shop vac kind of stuff? Thanks!

    I’ve had an Earlex wet/dry vac before, but as well as a 32mm tool kit, it came with a 50mm set. They’re so rare now, I don’t think you can get a wide diameter hose/tool set for Karcher’s wet dry range for example. It’s a shame as the larger bore tools are really what you need for bigger debris or picking up leaves… I don’t really see the point of a utility vac with narrow tubes that will easily get blocked.

    • @WJCTechyman
      @WJCTechyman 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well, if you can buy Shop-Vac brand or Ridgid (Emerson) brand machines, the 5 cm (2.5 inch as we know them in North America) hoses are often universal for those. They typically come with a bunch of couplings for different machines.

    Can you try a Festool Mini or a CT15 as a comparison, they are still made in germany, they are expensive but it would be easy to re-sell it quickly. I have a Nilfisk Attix I use the fleece bags but they do sometimes leak.

    Hi Roger
    Nice review 😊
    My aunt absolutely loves her garage karcher WD3 she uses it inside and has had it for 7 years 😂 it is loud but it works 😅
    Have you jet heard of the LG cord zero vacuum? It has been around for a while in the US but UK and Germany now have it to! I would love to see an review on your channel. It seems good if not better then the newer dysons.

    Oof, shocking bag design. Looks awfully cheap and plasticky, and no more rugged than a Numatic Henry. Can’t believe this is the same company that made the beautiful and iconic GV80…

    • @MartinKubaS5
      @MartinKubaS5 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Well it's meant to be simple and really cheap. And I think that for this purpose it's perfectly ok.
      I had Buddy ll 18 T which had socket for power tools. That thing didn't even have auto-start, that socket was there only as an extension for your power tools. But you still had to manually turn on and off the vacuum. 😆
      I have to say Buddies are ok for the price, but I still much much more prefer WD line from Kärcher, the cheaper models like WD2 or WD3 are just better in (not only) terms of build quality. And they also look way better than nilfisk buddy. Oh and also, Kärcher swivel wheels, it's almost like the vacuum's floating. :D

    • @WJCTechyman
      @WJCTechyman 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@MartinKubaS5 We don't get much in the way of Karcher machines in North America, or at least not in vacuums at our tool and hardware stores. Usually it's either Ridgid or Shop-Vac brands or a variation of one of those brands under a house name. Home Depot sells mostly Ridgid and its parent company Emerson's names under its commercial "ProTeam" label. Canadian Tire sells mostly Shop-Vac brand machines but Emerson appears to make its MasterCraft and Maximum house brand machines. That said, we can get Numatic machines through independent vacuum and appliance stores as well as Ghibli.
