If you have not listened to Tracy Chapman before please check out any of the following: "Fast Car" and "Give Me One Reason", along with other singles "Talkin' 'bout a Revolution", "Baby Can I Hold You", "Crossroads", "New Beginning", and "Telling Stories". She is a phenomenal singer/composer that should be far more famous.

Artistic Bear "Infatuation" was about 10 years after the disco era. It came out in 1988 or 89. One of my favorites, but far past the disco era. It doesn't even sound like a disco song. Synthesized pop rock, I guess?

As many fans screamed “sell out” when he released this, at the time he made Remix history with this song. First 12”Remix with 16 Track EQ which made this song a SMASH!, Hats off to remixer Jim Burgess for a great job. At the time the remix was highly sought but was only available to Club DJs and radio. Has actually grown on me over the years.

The period when rock bands and artists took some disco, and some disco artists and groups took rock. I remember how critics went mad yelling about sell out of principles and what not while
    the rest danced and enjoyed.
Rod's band, simply named Rod Stewart Band, consisted of veterans
like session musician / Jeff Beck Philip Chen on bass, former Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Family Jim Cregan on guitar, Carmine Appice drums who had played in Vanilla Fudge, Beck Bogert & Appice, Cactus, Gary Grainger. The band lasted for five years. The album "Blondes Have More Fun" was a massive hit all over.

Stewart is a really nice person also. When our government was trying to cut medical coverage to kids with disabilities he found out that a bunch of Parents were going to DC, with their kids, to testify but they didn't have enough money to get there. He stopped his concert & said, "I'm not a Dem or GOP, I'm a Father, & I'm funding their trip to DC". I cried.
