Hey everyone, I will be doing another Q&A video so if you all have some questions for me, that would be great! Thank you all for your kindness my sweet friends and I will have another video for Sunday 😉🤗🎄❄️💙🐾🐕
Greetings Lisette. Love your channel and content. Question. How is your Mother doing? Have not heard you speak of her in a long time. Love it when she joins you. Merry Christmas to ya'll. God Bless 🙏
That makes 2 of us, disabled that is and I love your videos, miss Snow and you! My question is, how do you light your cabin so when it's dark outside, you can still see when moving about your cabin? I worry about your stairs not having a rail on the open side. That it for me. BTW I'm 72 and I admire you so much!
I love that woodstove, and your aunt & uncles double one they are amazing to cook on!🥘 Q… What are some of your favorite things to do at the cabin …living alone? Q… How often do you fill the propane for the fridge/freezer- what is that tank capacity? Q… Do you let Miss Snow hog the bed? 🤍 Q… What do you want for your birthday? 🎁 Much love to you both!! I look forward to the Q&A!!! Can’t wait to hear the questions you choose from everyone!! 🩷🐕🌲🔥☕️🐴🐴🎁🥘🐈😘
Good morning, Lisette. I don't have any questions for you at this time. But you should do a Q and A video for your newer viewers. Loved the opening song for this video. You are not odd or weird. You are living the lifestyle that makes you happy, and that is what is important. Love to see you and Miss Snow in your daily adventures. Merry Christmas and much love and big hugs to all. ❤️😊☃️🎅🎄
Your homestead reminds me of our family farm. Had a great time spending many summers working and playing there. You seem so happy in your little corner of the world. Peace be with you and hope you spend many more happy years with miss snow.
Good morning ☕️☕️ Lisette- thank you for sharing all that you share, personally it’s great to see such a resourceful lady doing what she loves and wants to do. Any questions you get I’ll personally see on your QA. I’ll think hard on the validity of my questions before I ask. It doesn’t matter on a lot of what people think, say or ask. I’m just glad to know that you not freezing in the out house 😊 your so kind, beautiful & quite a lady. Thanks for every thing
Very cool informal tutorial on your heat source and your outhouse and their use. Lisette, your spoken English language is excellent, and one could not tell that your 1st language is French as you speak English clearly and with no accent. A Q & A session would be cool, especially for newer viewers, and we all totally get it if you don't care to answer any inappropriée(Inappropriate)questions from anyone! Sending hugs/love to you & Miss Snow, and enjoy your weekend! Merci beaucoup for this wonderful video!😘😎❤
My question is, "How did you get so pretty?" I love the outhouse tour. That vent makes a big difference for sure. You do have a great wood stove. My house is 170 years old and I too need to warm it up a bit to get the dampness out. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful life with me. I just realize I've lived alone for 30 years now and don't regret even one minute of that time. Thirty years and seven dogs have given me happiness. Have a great day Honey, Barefoot John. xx
I'm 63 and remember my grandparents having a outhouse. Yours is a luxury outhouse compared to theirs tho. They're fine to use unless the doo-dee man gets you in the middle of the night. Can't like that. LOL...Great video and have a Merry Christmas.
Do you ever get lonely out there? Do you have electricity? Do you have to bathe outside in the winter? What made you decide to live as you do! Do you ever date? You seem too young to not want a partner.
I have an Elmira Stove Works cookstove I’ve had for 45 years now. I use 1 to 1 and 1/2 whole, 4 feet by 4 feet by 8 feet, cords per year. Mostly for cooking, because I utilize passive solar heating. Which takes care of 70 to 80 percent of my heating needs. I took care of my out house cold butt problem by using a regular wooden or wood composite seat and keeping it behind my wood cookstove which is also in the sun in the winter and I just carry it out with me. Sometimes it was surprisingly warm. After many years I had the money to put in a septic system and a flushy. But if the water pump fails, the out house is always ready for use. The gravity here is pretty reliable.
I just want to tell you how inspirational you've been. I've lived alone now for almost 2 years (which isn't something I'm used to). I don't live off-grid but your circumstances are encouraging to me. Your positive attitude and out look are so great. This time I want to Thank You. Merci beaucoup! I feel like you could be a friend.
When I went to Japan one of the most interesting things was the heated toilet seats. They keep your buns warm for those late night visits. A solar powered one would be great for your outhouse. Bun maintenance is important.🙂
I had two COBRA stoves made in Goodwood, Ontario. Excellent stoves with amazing variable speed fan system, which helped keep my solid fieldstone house warm & toasty. In terms of cleaning the creosote off the glass, I used a razor blade or when cool, Windex & paper towel. I would use between 5 - 7 bush cords as the stoves were going 24/7 during the winter months. Now as far as peeling eggs, that's another chat. Merry Christmas
Hi Lisette, always nice to watch a video that you make. They are always fun and tasteful especially the cooking and baking videos, lol. I also have a foam toilet seat, you just have to, living like we do. Next Spring, I am going to replace the outhouse that came with the property for a nicer one. Tonight, I had to for the first time, remove a questionable comment from a new video I put out today. Take care, my friend.
Great video Lisette. Thanks for getting into some of the details of your homestead. You can understand the curiosity factor. Also looking forward to the Q&A. Understand you not wanting to answer certain questions. You have every right to your privacy and being comfortable in it.
Bonjour Lisette and Miss Snow. Absolutely never change. Your originality is what makes you so beautiful. I used to do metal work and had to work iron parts for wood stoves. Hard work but fun! God Bless and carry on precious Soul.🙌❤🌲💯
Well I just learned something new about how to clean the glass on my wood stove. Thank you for sharing that with all of us, chere Lisette! I so enjoy watching Miss Snow and you frolicking about. The fun and the love you share together always brings a smile to my face. You’re smart to share what is appropriate and comfortable for you to share. I wouldn’t expect you to do anything less. We should all show respect for who you are and the life you lead. If you should not post another video before Christmas, I wish you, Miss Snow and your family a very Merry Christmas! May God’s blessings some upon you and your loved ones. 🙏🐕🔥❄️🎄🤗💖
HI Lisette, As you know we always enjoy your videos. They truly show case your life style. Wood heat can't beat it. You're woodstove is great. We want to get something similar for cottage in future. Havingvthe warming oven is so nice. Our stove struggles at times in really cold weather. Just not quiet biggenough. Your out house is top of the line. Using styrafoam is a great idea. Look forward to your future Q&A Love Ro and Dave ❤😊🙂😺😾
Its been such a long journey watching you at your highs and lows, even as an outdoors man myself ,you always have a tip or to that is very valuable. The fireplace door was interesting. Also appreciated the pictures of the grouse or maybe you call it a partridge..your a beautiful soul and just want to say thank you and merry Xmas.
Lisette, thank you again for letting us have vignettes of your life. You are precious. So funny about the outhouse. I grew up with one down the sidewalk from the house. Visitors asked if it was a potting shed, & I would reply with, "No, it's more like a "potty shed"😅 Grew up with woodstoves,.& currently sitting in front of mine...drives away the cold & dampness, warms to your bones. Happy cat lounging nearby.
Lisette I think you should make a full length movie about your transition from former life over into the wilderness women. Your stories keep me uplifted and hopeful that other gals step out like you have… Your a breath of fresh air Many thanks Monoleeto 🙏
You have really done a great job on your cabin. I'm planning one to build in the Missouri Ozarks and your videos have been very inspirational. Thank you
Always love your informative videos. Thank you so very much for sharing your experiences with us. Another Q&A is a great idea. Looking forward to your next video 😊
Thanks for going over the stove. I'm looking to replace my 30 year old stove and will be looking into JA Roby stoves. We used to have an outhouse when I was smaller, wished we still had it.
You outhouse is brilliant .The vent great idea .I sit watching you light your fire as I sit by mine .You inspired me to get one and fan .Best thing I did in the house .
Lisette, wow sure appreciate you sharing all about that beautiful woodstove I just love ♡ it! I built a "mini" cabin with a tiny tiny wood stove it's on the wall ('Cubic mini'. Its made in Montreal used originally for Sailboats. )I have a few shorts on it in use. Lol glad you & Snow are toasty! I sure love your home and watching you build your dream Lisette! Lol & especially that stove seeing all you make with it too! : ) Luv&Peace ✌🏼💛⚘💫
A Christmas Poem for Lisette: In the woods of Ontario, where pines stand tall, Lisette resides, a ravishing beauty to us all. With golden hair that dances in the breeze, She exudes strength and talent with such ease. In English and French, her words take flight, A linguistic expert, pure delight. Off-grid she dwells, a resilient soul, In nature's embrace, she's reached her goal. A source of inspiration, a guiding light, Lisette's spirit, shining bright. Through woods and snow, her path unfolds, A tale of courage, as winter's story is told. Her resourcefulness, a skill so keen, A portrait of strength, a sight unseen. Ontario's wilderness, her chosen stage, Where she thrives and inspires, page by page. So here's to Lisette, a Christmas cheer, In the heart of the forest, far and near. May joy surround her, as snowflakes gently fall, Merry Christmas to Lisette, the most beautiful of them all.
I remember having a wood stove in a old house and it's always keeping you busy cleaning it and making sure wood is burning and just make sure your butt is warm in the outhouse ❤❤❤
Always amazed at how clean you keep your woodstove. I always have woodchips and ash all over the place. Don't ever get a microwave not good for you. I have one of those fans too. It is great.
Hi Lisette. A pleasure as always. That window cleaning lesson with ash is brilliant. I had no idea that would work. Look at that ash......clean. Sorry. LOL! Thankyou for your videos, lessons and more.
Good morning Lisette ! Thanks for sharing another awesome video and i hope you are feeling the holiday spirit.I'm so glad you are screening your questions, haha! God Bless you and Miss Snow.❤🎉
Hi Lisette Lovely video ❤ Totally your choice on what questions you deem as valid by your own personal criterion. You're not a commodity. But you are a one-off and that surely fascinates and intrigues many who tune in to your channel. Thanks for what you do share🙏 I love catching up with your adventures and your positivity is a gift for us, in my opinion. And Miss Snow is so gorgeous and cute! Merry Christmas to you both and your family 🍁☘💕🐾🐕🎅🎄
Hi beautiful Lisette, I am happy seeing you and Miss Snow are doing well. I miss my wood stove, it always gives you a cozy feeling. It must be cold upstairs? You have so many birds but I don't see any squirrels. You don't have much snow either, but I always love watching you having fun with your furbaby she is such a beauty. Wishing you Happy Holidays. Please take care, love send your way 🎄☃️❄❤🥂 lots of hugs for Miss Snow❤❤❤
Hi beautiful Lisette! Thought I had left a comment but maybe forgot to hit send? Oh well, nice outhouse, and thanks for the tip about cleaning the wood stove glass, I have a fireplace with a glass front, Ill try it! Yall stay warm! Much love, Chazz-🎸🎵😎🐈🐈❤🎄
Thank you for sharing. Wonderful video. Q&A would be awesome. Sounds valid to me. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Grouse are beautiful, they remind me of little turkeys with that tail. Excellent table fare (don't mean to offend anyone). I am 64 so I get up to tinkle frequently. Having an outhouse wouldn't work for me. I would be stumbling in the woods several times a night and I would fall on my derriere. Catastrophe! My bathroom is safely located outside my bedroom door. You have great personal style. It's amazing. Apporter de la magie aux masses.* *All french thanks to Google french translator. I was forced to take French in high school but being a rebellious type of person who doesn't like to be told what to do I never tried very hard to learn the language.
Merry Christmas to you and Snow. Thank you for this past years videos . Something I love to look forward too. Love the partridge today . Take care , Shirley
Happy Friday Lisette 😃 Thank you for another lovely video and answering some more questions, funny I had to use an outhouse this morning and it was -13 I was thinking geez there must be a way of adding some kind of solar heater in here. 🤔 anyway always a pleasure learning more about your life, have a very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and here's wishing you the best in 2024 💝🐾 😊
This video speaks to me. I have 2 cabins in Downeast Maine with no running water. What I do is to hang the toilet seat over the woodstove. When it's time to go it's toasry warm! Keep up the great content. xo
Good morning and wishing you a very Merry Christmas to you and Miss Snow . I hope 2024 is good to you and I look forward to seeing more of your videos. ❤️
Hi i`m new to subscribing but have watched your channel for about a year. I really enjoy your home and being surrounded by nature. I sure love how you feed the chickadees out of your hand. In Chicago I fed all kinds of birds had window feeders. Honestly the chickadees have always been my favorite. A really nice functioning outhouse and you are so right about the vent. The forest preserve district here has all of the out houses vented and no smell.
I’d like to see you do an episode in all French! I don’t speak French but I do understand bits and pieces of the language! It’s your native language so go for it! It’s a beautiful language especially coming from you! George!
OMG I never ever before in my life have seen an outhouse I’d call ‘beautiful.’ And the wood on both the exterior and interior of your cabin is gorgeous. As is your wonderful pup. And you… well I’ll shut up now and wish you a very happy Christmas and New Year filled with warmth, happiness and peace. 🎄✨💝🕊️🎉🥂
I think you were searching for appropriate questions, that darned English as a second language 😂 I lived in an A frame cabin in the 80's for a year a couple miles from the base of Mt Robson, Canada's highest mountain in the Canadian Rocky mountains, I did have running water and septic but it did freeze up for about a week in the middle of winter which forced option B the outhouse, it was a cold snap and I will say you did make sure everything was ready to go and you didn't doddle before making the trek in the morning 😊
Love love love that wood stove ,love to watch the fire burn.so cozy.love to watch it snow as well.Ido like the outhouse.Thank you for another great video.Have a good day and bless you.
Hey 😇 I see your a very strong independent lady & you do so well up there in the cold better than most of us could even think. I ❤ the outdoors around you & glad Miss Snow is fine. GB my ❤ & wishing you & the family a Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Larry
Good Morning Lisette, It's a wonderful wood stove. Great outhouse too. Love seeing the grouse. My question is How is your Mom doing? Very well I hope. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. 💖💖😊😊
Good morning Beautiful Lisette. I'm up here at 4am running to my toilet and I turned my heat on. Its been raining all week here in Santa Barbara. God has rewarded up by filling up our nearby lakes with fresh water. Wishing you and family a Merry Christmas. Big warm hugs and kisses to you and Miss Snow. 🤗😘🍷🥰🍩🍪
Miam-miam.A plus la belle. ❤❤❤
I'm impressed with every video about how you have managed living off grid. Love watching you cook except I get really really hungry during... Merry Christmas
Good morning and Cheers! to an amazing weekend leading up to and including a most magical Christmas! I clean my wood stove window the same way. It does work amazingly! Thank you for your video. Love you and Miss Snow!💖🤍
Ah, the eternal question all off gridders must face., how to prevent... exposure , as it were. . Back in the day I think they used to hang the , uh - seat , over the wood stove to keep it warm so the initial seating, was not so frosty. Styrofoam also is a great ... comfort, on cold days The eco fans are great, I have one as well. They really help circulate the warm air. If you can find them, they make heat disapators that go around the stove pipe to help recapture some of the heat that otherwise goes up the chimney. Great to see you settling in for the season and happy first day of winter my dear🍸
Hey everyone, I will be doing another Q&A video so if you all have some questions for me, that would be great!
Thank you all for your kindness my sweet friends and I will have another video for Sunday 😉🤗🎄❄️💙🐾🐕
How you going to come for me in person.? 🤗😉

that trick of cleaning the glass with the wood ash is WONDERFUL....Thanks for sharing it.
I don’t know why, but all your videos are like letters from home, always have been, and always will be… Réchauffement du cœur ♥️
Try a low F or B flat harmonica. Always play softly slowly when dealing with animals✍🏼🦉🐝🐾😎
Good morning, Lisette. I don't have any questions for you at this time. But you should do a Q and A video for your newer viewers. Loved the opening song for this video. You are not odd or weird. So funny about the outhouse.
I grew up with one down the sidewalk from the house.

Grew up with woodstoves,.& currently sitting in front of mine...drives away the cold & dampness, warms to your bones.

Love your video's!! You are so down to earth. Life is easier off grid. Just living life.

Good morning Lisette ! Thanks for sharing another awesome video and i hope you are feeling the holiday spirit.I'm so glad you are screening your questions, haha! God Bless you and Miss Snow.❤🎉
You and miss snow have a wonderful holiday
I have a wonderful time watching your video
Hi Lisette
Lovely video ❤
Totally your choice on what questions you deem as valid by your own personal criterion.
Thanks beautiful Lisette. I always enjoy your videos.
I just wanted to wish you and Miss Snow a very Merry Christmas!!! I so enjoy your podcasts and wish you many great new adventures!!!
Hi beautiful Lisette! Thought I had left a comment but maybe forgot to hit send? Oh well, nice outhouse, and thanks for the tip about cleaning the wood stove glass, I have a fireplace with a glass front, Ill try it! Yall stay warm!
Much love,
Chazz-🎸🎵😎🐈🐈❤🎄
Apporter de la magie aux masses.*
*All french thanks to Google french translator. I was forced to take French in high school but being a rebellious type of person who doesn't like to be told what to do I never tried very hard to learn the language.
Merry Christmas to you and Snow. Thank you for this past years videos . Something I love to look forward too. Love the partridge today . Take care , Shirley
Have a good weekend my friend and stay warm up there!
Happy Friday Lisette 😃 Thank you for another lovely video and answering some more questions, funny I had to use an outhouse this morning and it was -13 I was thinking geez there must be a way of adding some kind of solar heater in here. 🤔 anyway always a pleasure learning more about your life, have a very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and here's wishing you the best in 2024 💝🐾 😊
Always fantastic cinematography. Thank you!
I use a cooking scraper to clean the ashes on the outside shelf below the door works great. God bless you and be safe through the holidays.
Great video Lisette
Thank you! ❄️🎄😊💕🐾
Wishing you a wonderful weekend. And a Merry Christmas to you and your family. ❤
Where were you when i was younger. I aways loved the way you live. Stay warm kiddo!
Thank you for wearing the wellies.
Another great year of videos. I throughly enjoy all your content. Wishing you and Miss snow a Merry Christmas 🎄
Good morning. I hope you, Miss Snow, and the Chickadee's have a wonderful weekend.
Appropriate? You're doing great Lisette! Love all your videos. Stay safe! God bless!✝️👍❤
I think you were searching for appropriate questions, that darned English as a second language 😂
I lived in an A frame cabin in the 80's for a year a couple miles from the base of Mt Robson, Canada's highest mountain in the Canadian Rocky mountains, I did have running water and septic but it did freeze up for about a week in the middle of winter which forced option B the outhouse, it was a cold snap and I will say you did make sure everything was ready to go and you didn't doddle before making the trek in the morning 😊
Beautiful like always.
Love love love that wood stove ,love to watch the fire burn.so cozy.love to watch it snow as well.Ido like the outhouse.Thank you for another great video.Have a good day and bless you.
Merry Christmas Lisette! May the holiday season bring you and Miss Snow happiness and joy.🎄

Miam-miam.A plus la belle. ❤❤❤

Wow! House looks so great now!!!!
I'm impressed with every video about how you have managed living off grid. Love watching you cook except I get really really hungry during... Merry Christmas
I'm sooo happy that she beautyful woman and your dog going good 🙃🥰🙃
It was great watching you build that outhouse
Good morning and Cheers! to an amazing weekend leading up to and including a most magical Christmas!
I clean my wood stove window the same way. It does work amazingly!
Thank you for your video. Love you and Miss Snow!💖🤍
Wish you and miss snow a very merry christmas and all the best in 2024. Thanks for all the fantastic video content xxx
Another great video, you’re so down to earth!
