Good day Lisette, you may want to keep an extra pair of gloves and clothing in the truck, especially during the winter. I also live in the country where there are less people and need to take care of yourself in case you get stranded. The best boots I've found for the cold are a Canadian company called Sorel. Be safe, and yes, it has been a mild winter this year.
I must say Miss Snow is the most expressive dog- I half expect her to just start talking one day.... and that small ermine will be eating from your hand any day now. So much fun to watch the denizens of your little kingdom you there. And by all means drill that well. I did the water hauling routine but it’s good to have a real deep well and protected water source - happy Sunday my northern friend!
Goodmorning Lisette, Today our winter is not spring like. We have had about 40 plus cm of snow. Can't say we love it. Lol. We know you are ok with picking up your spring water but We believe a drilled well is ultimately your best route. Ro and I opted for a drilled well and have not regretted it. In our cottage we use approximately 6 full chords per season. Of course Ro is always interested in uour cooking. It looked really good. We enjoy your videos into uour wilderness life style. Another very nice visit. Ms snow was full of it today very playful, she really loves rolling in the snow. I always get a kick out of you getting your water you do it so effortless just a piece of cake for you, no complaints. That is the very reason I have so much respect, admiration for you, you do what you have to do get it done. I don't think some realize how heavy those jugs are. I am smiling as I say this. The reason being you pick them up like nothing put them on the truck no moaning, grounding, complaining you just do it. I like that. Great job on the living room, so organized, cosy, inviting to curl up in one of your chairs read a good book. I love plants you have some nice healthy looking plants. I would like to suggest if you have the room in your boots I put in an extra insole it keeps my feet warm. You were mentioning your wood. I can relate as we are having an open winter, first storm last night, today. I have used very little wood, not complaining. Hauling water oh how I remember doing that, lived in a place up around Mio Michigan had no well and later lived around central Michigan and every winter the well would freeze up and as kid's we would load up jug's in a sled and go to some friends down the road and get water because the roads were snowed in don't miss it ❤️🌹
ont. sure has lots of artesians wells. my dad had a cottage on rice lake and we just stopped on the rd. and filled up. your movies are very enjoyable. miss snow is so polite.the ermine, if called snowflake like someone suggested is a good name for miss snows little friend. to bad they don't live longer. thank you.

Miss Snow is such a good helper lol. We have a place just outside North Bay. I remember when we had to tote water into our property. We had to carry it almost 1 kilometer to our lot.Much better now that we have a road to our lot. Toting that water will for sure keep you in shape. Be well , be happy and stay safe.👍👍🇨🇦

It's making me anxious to plant something in the vegetable garden! The groundhog didn't see his shadow, ya know...early spring coming, haha! Saving on firewood is a definite perk for mild winters! Wow, that's a heavy load of water there! Must have a good suspension on that rig of yours! Hey, use that shallow well water for watering your veggies this summer. That'll be a good use for it. Good decision on the water. People can get very sick from bad water. A settlement called Jamestown in America lost many people because of bad water. Any water for consumption should be tested often. Thanx for sharing.😃

First, there is nothing wrong with changing furniture. My mom used to do that all the time and it used to drive my dad nuts, in a good way! I also love the way snowball takes his chicken which is too big and find a way to maneuver it into his home! Precious stuff! If you ever need anything just ask but from what I can see you got your stuff together my lady! But just incase! The offer is always open!
Hello Lassette, I think the world of you, I see the water that you go & get that's really amazing from a over flowing, the only other I know of is in Sprouts, Alabama & been a century there, well & the water you say it's good and it looks good, I'm amazed that you can get all that 5 gallon containers full of water and carry it back to where you needed water is number one , still work in modern treatment that's fun I retire now, & 75 so it Is still number one as far as I'm concerned, conservation and drinking good water, cooking with good water ,Mike

I don't mind too much; it means less breaking out the snowblower and shovels, plus it's easier getting around. Miss Snow is a big girl. And such a sweet heart. I thought you drilled a well last summer? Is that the one that has the water that is not good for drinking? The yet to be named Ermine is probably the best fed critter in the woods! Can't help but love him/her? So skittish, but cute. Your meal has inspired me. I will make rotisserie chicken on the grill, gravy, and home fries for dinner today! Biggest winter storm of the year here in Reno. Snowing all day. I always get a kick out of you getting your water you do it so effortless just a piece of cake for you, no complaints. That is the very reason I have so much respect, admiration for you, you do what you have to do get it done. I don't think some realize how heavy those jugs are. I am smiling as I say this. The reason being you pick them up like nothing put them on the truck no moaning, grounding, complaining you just do it. I like that. Great job on the living room, so organized, cosy, inviting to curl up in one of your chairs read a good book. I love plants you have some nice healthy looking plants. I would like to suggest if you have the room in your boots I put in an extra insole it keeps my feet warm. You were mentioning your wood. I can relate as we are having an open winter, first storm last night, today. I have used very little wood, not complaining. I Always enjoy seeing your fire burning so nicely, can tell your wood is nice dry. Hauling water oh how I remember doing that, lived in a place up around Mio Michigan had no well and later lived around central Michigan and every winter the well would freeze up and as kid's we would load up jug's in a sled and go to some friends down the road and get water because the roads were snowed in don't miss it ❤️🌹

Miss Snow is such a good helper lol. We have a place just outside North Bay. I remember when we had to tote water into our property. We had to carry it almost 1 kilometer to our lot.Much better now that we have a road to our lot. Toting that water will for sure keep you in shape. Be well , be happy and stay safe.👍👍🇨🇦

Hi Lisette - Greetings from coastal Washington state! Yes, a very mild winter here also. We have some daffodils starting to sprout up in the yard. It's making me anxious to plant something in the vegetable garden! The groundhog didn't see his shadow, ya know...early spring coming, haha! Saving on firewood is a definite perk for mild winters! Wow, that's a heavy load of water there! Must have a good suspension on that rig of yours! Hey, use that shallow well water for watering your veggies this summer. That'll be a good use for it. Good decision on the water. People can get very sick from bad water. A settlement called Jamestown in America lost many people because of bad water. Any water for consumption should be tested often. Thanx for sharing.😃

First, there is nothing wrong with changing furniture. My mom used to do that all the time and it used to drive my dad nuts, in a good way! I also love the way snowball takes his chicken which is too big and find a way to maneuver it into his home! Precious stuff! If you ever need anything just ask but from what I can see you got your stuff together my lady! But just incase! The offer is always open!

a century there, well & the water you say it's good and it looks good, I'm amazed that you can get all that 5 gallon containers full of water and carry it back to where you needed water is number one , still work in modern treatment that's fun I retire now, & 75 so it Is still number one as far as I'm concerned, conservation and drinking good water, cooking with good water ,Mike

Miss Snow is a big girl. And such a sweet heart. I thought you drilled a well last summer? Is that the one that has the water that is not good for drinking? The yet to be named Ermine is probably the best fed critter in the woods! Can't help but love him/her? So skittish, but cute. Your meal has inspired me. I will make rotisserie chicken on the grill, gravy, and home fries for dinner today! Biggest winter storm of the year here in Reno. Snowing all day. Still love cooking outside on the grill even in winter. I always get excited when it is snowing. Like a little kid! ;) Thanks for sharing! :)
