Its crazy how nobody ever questions the fliphones and notices its the year 2000. They did a good job at that. Amazing ending. I remember losing my mind at the theaters when I realized what was happening. 😂😂
I was wondering about that back then too. In hindsight it makes sense.
One could argue that some people still use flip phones in the 2010s. I know many people who still use flip phones to this day because capitalism is stubborn and unfair when it comes to necessities like phones

the gymnast scene and the laser eye one always have me sweating my ass off and i've seen this movie A LOT, the death scenes from 2 and 5 are the best ones
That laser one is definitely in my top 3

This movie has to have one of the best twist endings I’ve ever experienced. Literally gave me chills 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This final part actually made a great explanation to the whole series - there was a chain reaction of deaths from one part to another, caused by the preceeding lives of those who were supposed to dead by the time. I was in an awe seeing that the final part was chronologically the first one and the reason why the plane crashed was not because of the protagonists of the first part, but the survivors of the final part. Loved the series, quite sad it has ended
there's gonna be a 6th movie.
I like how the ending of 5 is the beginning of 1. Basically meaning the cycle never stops
The people who made this movie went so hard for a movie that is the fifth one in a series. Brilliant movie. Ending is so clever.
The bridge scene is just pure horror.
By far my favorite sequenece of the entire franchise
The reason flight 180 exploded is because death was still after Sam, so if he and Molly never boarded Flight 180 it wouldn't blow up
Having produced all the Final Destination movies, I truly appreciate the review and reaction. We worked really, really hard to redeem ourselves after FD4 in particular. Glad it delivered!
You did a good job although I wish the five one was called The Final Destination instead of the fourth seeing that it was a prequel but overall you smash it in the end looking forward to the sixth one.
@@aaronalbritton-matthews86 Agree, but at the time FD4 was SO bad that marketing wanted to imply that it was going to be the last FD movie ever to get people to go see it. If it hadn't been a monster hit worldwide, it would have been aptly named. Instead, we found ourselves in the position to make another one. Franchises are a case-by-case proposition...

Craig Perry did produce these, he literally comments on every reactor's reactions to the series. And he even did an interview with Cinebinge about the films...

I've had this eye surgery, and it's nothing like that scene. It's about 15 minutes, it's painless, and the recovery process is one day. I can't speak for the blade process, but the all-laser is quick, simple, and relatively painless.

I got Lasik and it was literally pretty painless and pretty simple for what it is! And lasted only 8 minutes. My eyesight is great now :)
Final destination 6 is in the works, it will follow emergency response workers. Should be interesting

I remember a lot of people were upset at this one piece of dialogue in the gymnast scene "Somebody call 911!" these people were like "She's dead, WTF is 911 gonna do", and I'm like "Well WTF are they supposed to do, NOT report a dead body?!?" like imagine the cops interrogating you later and you're like "Well she seemed dead so letting the body lay there and collect maggots seemed better than bothering the police"

Oh man I loved this one - the gymnastics death was one of the only ones in the series that truly caught me off guard and shocked me, and tying it back to flight 180 to wrap it up was just perfect. I love this whole series but some are definitely better than others.
I realized that some of these deaths are connected to the premonition!
- Candice died by getting impaled in the stomach by a boat in the vision. Her actual death also had to do with her spine.
- Isaac's face squashed against the bus window is similar to how he died, face got squished by that statue.
- Olivia died by getting hit from the top by a car in the vision. In reality she died by landing on a car.
- Both of Nathan's deaths had to do with wires. The vision had Nathan be hit by a bridge beam, and Nathan was supposed to die from a hook on a wire.
- Peter's deaths in the vision and reality both had him be stabbed in the back by sharp objects.
- In the vision, Sam was cut in half. In reality, Molly was the one who got cut in half.

I love the use of the prequel status being the twist. It reminds me of how Split revealed itself to be a spin-off of Unbreakable.
I'm always flip flopping on which is the best. 1 or 5. I tend to go towards 5

I love how when Candace is playing with her rubber band, it snaps.
She dies shortly after by literally being broken in half
Another one I love is when Candace squeezed the teddy bear so tightly, it's button for the eye popped out, just like Candace's eye when she fell

As someone who has done acupuncture before, I had donated platelet’s to help people previously so needles didn’t scare me and then when my TMJ got worse- I considered it. Having them be able to use needles to relax my jaw muscles and not have to take more Rx or Botox was 100% worth it. And I slept like a baby during the treatment and after. 😴❤️ 10/10 would recommend
That scene from dead space always made me so anxious, the Lazer eye surgery too but being in control of it like in dead space made me so much more nervous.
the lasik one isn't THAT scary because now you have multiple health care workers with you. no one ever leaves you alone. ever.

I had lasiik on my eyes. Takes about ten minutes. They put drops in your eyes so you don't feel the clamps keeping your eyes open. Best money I've ever spent.

This movie is why i will never get laser eye surgery i am with you glasses for life
The eye scene, while horrifying, takes me out of it a bit. In a real, reputable Lasik office, if there was an issue before the procedure, no patient would be left like that. Guaranteed way to not only lose a license, but also get sued to hell and back in court.

I love how this one closes the whole final destination series…& the Shyamalan twist that everything is right there in your face if you were paying attention…
My favorite of the Final Destination films would have to be the second because kid me got ridiculously attached to the drug addict character(I thought he was fun....) and the log scene really freaked me out.
I really love how this movie ended up not being a sequel, but a prequel instead.
There have been talks that they have another one in development. It was supposed to be about first responders like police, firefighters, etc but that has been scrapped and is being reworked with a different story so who knows what’s next for the franchise.
Shout out to everyone who watched he lead in the law comedy, Trial & Error (NBC).
I’m hoping the 6th one will at least stay true to the originals and mix good practical effects with minimal CGI. I think it might be coming out a year from now but it’s been delayed a lot.
I hope it has this ones feel, I really think they nailed this one

I remember watching this in the theatres in 3D. The boat sail death in 3D was topnotch.
I absolutely love acupuncture! Just a little prick when it goes in, but the amazing euphoric feeling you have once they are in and you lay there for like an hour, I always fall asleep during the resting process and I have the best sleep of my life. 40-60 minutes of acupuncture sleep feels like you just had the best 8 hours of sleep you have ever had! I definitely recommend it!!!
I had Lasik done and it's not too bad. If you really wanna get it done, there's a video of an actual Lasik doctor that watches this scene and debunks some of the stuff in it. Maybe it'll make you feel better about it. 😄
In the premonition, the car fell on Olivia while in reality Olivia fell on the car.

May well be the best of the franchise, but it takes getting there to appreciate why.
That scene with the gymnast is one of the only scenes in movies I can't watch. I was a gymnast and acrobat, and trust me it's way too realistic. That was always one of my greatest fears when performing.
Anybody, who knows anything about concrete construction, will tell you bridges don’t collapse like that, that thing would have hell of an really thick rebar in it.

And now we wait for the reboot, because apparently it's coming and it basically resets the whole franchise (where the plane crash never happened and characters aren't aware of earlier death-cycles).
The gymnast death is my favorite out of the entire series. The build-up is crazy. Also fun fact that the actress actually was a gymnast herself, so she did most of her stunts herself after practicing a bit to freshen up her skills.

This movie was way better than 4 but because of the ending it made its way to my number 2 most favorite FD film right after the OG Final Destination. Followed by 2, 3 and obviously 4 being dead last. Also the CGI of the bridge collapsing is soo good.
I am not lying but I saw this when I was a kid and this movie disturbed me for the rest of my life.
I love this final destination so much the characters and the deaths are just awesome and enjoyable also you guys joke and constantly have me laughing all the way through .

The Final Destination series is one of my favourite franchises, watched all of them multiple times, but I still look away at Olivia's (laser surgery) death every time. I can't do it, just a big nope from me!

Funny actually it wasnt cornea surgery but got laser eye repair (the retina) and they numb the eye so you dont move it and its a bit unconfortable but honestly not bad
