i swear to the scream lords that Jills reveal is THE BEST ghostface reveal of all time. the utter shock and betrayal i felt because she was built up to be the final girl WHEW....

Yes. I think scream four and the most recent scream six are the best most shocking reveals. Jill had me shook! They really tricked us with that one! Has to be the best.
But also the Boyfriend in the first one really had me shocked as well. I think first fourth and six are the best reveals.
i remember back in 2011 how everyone said Jill´s motive was ridiculous and unrealistic... Damn SCREAM 4 was so ahead of its time. Best in the franchise alongside the original.

Emma roberts KILLED it as Jill. Definitely the best ghostface reveal. I was so shocked.
So Anthony Perkins’ knife to the forehead kill not being an instant kill is accurate to real life. The director, Wes Craven saw a tv special about a man who got stabbed in the head but still managed to take himself to the hospital.
Also this was Wes Craven’s last Scream movie before he passed in 2015. The next two Scream 5 and 6 were directed by Radio Silence (same crew who made Ready or Not)

I love that scream 4 was a true return to the franchise when it came to the gore since scream 3 didn’t have any. Jill is my favorite ghostface tied with billy cause she’s the only ghostface who came close to winning and killing Sidney which says how effective she is as a killer. Like the fact she shrugged off killing her mom as nothing shows how evil she is. Ghostface was really vicious in this movie as we saw when he killed Olivia being one of the best deaths of the franchise and the phone calls like when he told Sidney he would slit her eyelids💀.
I mean despite 3 being pretty meh as a film, Roman was the closest to killing Sidney. He was prepared for her to fight back and if she didn't have that vest on he would have gotten her too.
I think she is the most efficient Ghostface killer, she didn't kill her mom. Charlie did. Remember she was the one who stabbed Gale. While some time must've passed, it only makes sense it was Charlie since Jill would've been with Kirby. She honestly only truly killed Trevor and Charlie.
4 is also my favourite. It was so self aware and they knew how to have fun with it. The characters were great and the scares and gore were decent as well. The "who dunnit" aspect was on point because no one guessed who the killers were, it was a big reveal. I also liked the fact that Sidney, Gale and Dewey were a big part of the story and that the new additions really drove the story home. Scream 5 was a bit of a let down. The new characters were okay and the older ones didn't have enough screen time except for Dewey. Looking forward to Scream 6 as I've heard nothing but good things.

Honestly, the best piece of acting, is Sidney's scream when Jill digs her knee into Sidney's stitches, right before the punch. That scream is perfection from Neve!
When Jill starts her dramatic monologue “do you know what it was like growing up in this family…” and you’re like “here we go” 😂
Jill is the best Ghostface in the whole franchise and the best reveal and come on her motive is the best, becoming Sidney, that is some next level psycho shit…
Also she is the only Ghostface to execute the 3rd act fully and had an extra act too…
She needs to make a comeback, Emma Roberts killed it with this role….
Scream 4 was ahead of its time and I’m glad it’s getting the love it deserves now after 12 years
The films original script ended at the house with someone shouting "We've got a live one here.." leaving on a cliffhanger which would allow Jill to get away with it only to be stalked by Ghostface in a future Scream 5 & was confirmed by Kevin Willamson in recent years. He did a horror podcast & told the whole story of his thinking.
However the line at the hospital "You forgot about the first rule about remakes Jill, don't fuck with the original" is pure badass!! 😍
It was nice that Jill was the killer but for the first 2 acts, she's set as the “New” final girl alongside Sidney. And also, the internet fame motive was VERY ahead of its time, it's more motive now then it was 2011
Originally, this was too end as a cliffhanger, unclear if Sidney lives or dies and Jill gets away with it, they did it due to Neve keep saying no, so if she doesn't come back for 5, they save Kirby (pre-6) and if she did, Sidney would have amnesia and Jill would be trying to stop the killer from exposing her. It only changed because Bob Weinstein changed it fearing it would effect the box office
glad to see scream 4 getting the respect it deserves. the original is still on top for me but this is easily the best sequel imo

Genius twist! I remember all the publicity prior of the reléase... They really selled the idea of the passing of the torch, and Jill wanted that but never did i thought by being the killer.

I kinda found if weird how she's obssessed with being the sole survivor and implied Sidney as one, but she was never the sole survivor. In 1 she, Gale, Dewey and Randy Survived. And Randy was a teenager like her. In 2 She, Gale, Dewey and Cotton Survived. Sure, among her peers she's the only one that survived, but others did too. In 3 she, Gale, Dewey and Mark survived.
Should have watched the extended cut, it's even more bloody and epic
17:28 in the European version there is a lot of added audio and there is an anouncement before Jill gets out of bed and it said: "There is a mandatory emergency meeting for all staff now".
For the opening scene, Stab 6, Wes actually made it a point to do big over-the-top blood, with thicker way too dark obviously corn syrup blood, to convey that it was a movie.
I commented this on the last upload that dialed so I’m gonna comment it again. Idk if it’s your accent (mine is similar) or rude jokes (my fav) but I find you extremely charming. Love watchin your shit

Best sequel in the series thus far! One of the best killer reveals too imo, Emma Roberts ate that shit!! 👏🏽👏🏽 just wish it ended at the house party instead of the hospital so the original idea for 5 could be implemented, but 5’s still a good movie in its own right. Great reaction per usual!
this is my favorite Scream movie of all time, it was my childhood and I love it to dearly, it's a comfort movie even! I cherish it as it was Wes Craven's last Scream film before he passed, and the killings were great too and how the knife was! how shiny it was was my favorite thing as well, no did it better than Wes Craven and that's the truth

Fun fact: Jill was supposed to return for a 5th film as the movie was originally going to end on a cliffhanger but the producers didn't like the idea. Sidney would also survive but with amnesia, Dewey and Gale wouldn't have found out she was GF.
The new killer would learn her secret and go after her with Sidney eventually remember the events if scream 4 setting up scream 6 with Jill as the main antagonist again.
Unfortunately this never went ahead especially with scream 4 underperforming at the box office and wes cravens unfortunate death.
What sucks is that 100% wouldve been better than scream 5 and 6 by MILES. Those new ones are trash even if they are fun.

Scream 4 was the second best entry for me after the original for the longest time! It took some time for people to appreciate this one because people were not having it when it was first released. I also think Scream 4 also aged incredibly well. 12 years later and the main motivation remains fresh and relevant.

Dude!!!!! You have made my fucking day! Scream 4 is my favourite of the franchise and has been since release, but I am forever defending that position! Underrated. It’s fresh and exciting and brought it back to the original. And motive still relevant to today.

You should watch some of the deleted scenes for this movie, it had so many better alternate scenes and extended scenes which if you see those, you like the movie a lot more.
Especially Robbie (the webcam guy) and Trevor, they are expanded upon and have more screen time in the deleted scenes. You’d like Trevor more with the deleted scenes especially

Scream 4 isn't one of my favorite films in the franchise but I have to say Jill is the best ghost face reveal in the whole franchise. You do not suspect her for a minute

So much to say about Scream 4. I loved it but at this point horror had been saturated by horror porn like Saw & final destination that a slasher was something the then audience had moved on from. The success of Scream 5 & 6 proves that slashers are not dead it just has to pick its time in history I have grown to think.
Jill's motive was ahead of its time & I personally believe its the most frighteningly real of all the films since Scream (1996)

the Stab openings was a huge eyeroll for me so the rest was surprisingly good but I didn't get as attached to these people as in 1 & 2 which held it back a bit for me as I don't recallmany of their names but Jill I felt so protective of and the fact she was that batshit crazy arguably the most deranged one thus far made me feel as betrayed as poor Kirby
