    Great job explaining the installation. The H series are the 1/2"-5/8" box and the F series are the 5/8"-3/4". The H series are our standard drawer runners. Everyone loves them and they are so well made Great videos thanks

    Thank you! You explained these so amazingly compared to the company or other videos. The level of detail and charts especially. I found your video while searching for “ rear mounting brackets required on Blum 563h “. Additionally you helped be immensely. Is it always necessary to block out sides with an inset drawer front? It seems my face frames are thin enough that the slides and box side fit easily between frame stiles and the slides.

    One comment- I believe these slides can be mounted also to the bottom of the cabinet (slide out recycle/trash bin drawer applications). So in that scenario are there holes for mounting the brackets for the slides to the bottom of the cabinet?

    • @danielfeuermann6450
      @danielfeuermann6450 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi - I just mounted these slides (560H, 300mm) at the bottom of a cabinet - makes it easy to get them horizontal and aligned. However, they have no holes for mounting down. I had to attatch them on the sides.

    Great video, perfectly explained, Blum should take a leaf out of your book! - one question. If I buy 21'' runners do I make my drawer box the same length or shorter and if so by how much?

    • @WoodworkersHardware

  • @jasondarr1238

    Great video. Thanks for the content. Can you please tell me why you'd need an extra inch behind the box (at the back of the cabinet)? I have a cabinet that is 13 1/4 inches deep, I want to have an inset drawer face (hoping for 5/8 or thicker material) and I am using 12 inch tandem slides. I think it would work but would leave me almost right against the back of the cabinet... Thanks for your help!

    • @WoodworkersHardware
      @WoodworkersHardware  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's to accommodate the hooks that go into the back of the drawer box. Blum specifies a minimum cabinet depth of 12-29/32" for the 563H3050B SKU, which you seem to be over. Check their specifications here www.blum.com/us/en/products/runnersystems/tandem/assembly/

      @@WoodworkersHardware Thank you for the info. I noticed that on my instructions they are listed as 706/766H. Are these the same model as the one's referenced in the links?

  • @danielfeuermann6450
    @danielfeuermann6450 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi - in your excellent video you mention that the drawer length is exactly the dimension given in the part number. However, Blum's instructions show that the drawer length is N-10mm (N being the nominal length). I did it this way (N-10) but found that for the hook at the end to get into the drilled 6mm hole, the drawer was 10mm too short, I had to add a small piece of wood to make the hook fit into its hole (in the added piece). The part was a 560H300. there appears to be a contradiction between Blum's instruction and yours - while it appears that yours is the correct one.

      @@WoodworkersHardware Hi Daniel, This is Larry, I made the video. What Blum is notorious for is not making mistakes. I see by the part number you give that this is a slide, possibly from a European catalog. In America we have the B563H-3050 slide from the 563H series of slides. I have heard (dont know for sure) that in some parts of the world Blum is using the nominal length for calculations.

    I have boxes that are 20" in depth. Is there no Blum undermount that would fit that? Assuming you can't size up the 18" or size down the 21"?

  • @TAL142

    I have a 19.5" drawer box in a 24" cabinet. If I use 21" slides, I can use the rear mounting bracket but hook won't reach the back the drawer box. I am new to this. I assume I can add side blocks for side mounting if possible. If I use 18" slides, the hook can rear the rear holes but they are too short for the locking mechanism in the front. So which slides should I use for my drawers.

      @@WoodworkersHardwareStick with the 21" slides. Add 1.5" block to the back of the drawer box so the total lenght of the box is 21" where the hooks engage with the drawer box. One block on each side. You will have to drill holes in the blocks that you add to you drawer box. The back of your drawer box will look funny but it will work. Easier than building a new box.
