This is a custom LEGO creation form the designer David Slater. It's got over 2000 pieces and was build with extreme care and attention to detail. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better recreation of this car in LEGO bricks anywhere else. It was great fun to build this project, nearly everyone in the studio took turns build certain sections. Still impressed with the ease in which you can morhp the wheels into flying mode.

after seeing the official lego delorean reveal and seeing this MOC the official does look similar to this build, wonder if lego used this MOC model for inspiration 🤔

I personally like to call it "The E.L.B. Express" cuz those are Doc's initials and they're on the side of the train. I would love to see the details of that time machine in Lego form, it would be amazing!

Love this moc, but LEGO recently exceeded this in a way I thought wasn’t possible. The power of LEGO is getting more powerful each day.
Well this MOC is better, look at the doors and the sidedetails. In the LEGO model there is a big gap (in thsi mdoel the white parts have minimal gap)

Superb set, but can you pleas not call it a "lego ucs"? I really thought it was an official set and went first to the lego store to order one... At least call it "Lego Moc UCS".

I JUST completed building this MOC tonight and man is it truly amazing!!!! HUGE props to David Slater for not only creating a Lego masterpiece but allowing us to own a piece of it as well through BrickVault. I seriously can't stop looking at this car. It's hands-down one of my favorite sets now. I ended up painting the white time-travel banding and giving it more of a subtle aluminum shine and I have to say it looks pretty darn good, though honestly the white pieces provided in the instructions really don't take away from the car either. Excellent job, Dave! Keep it up!!!!
I want to be completely honest about this DeLorean model. The creator did an amazing job! Looks to be a rough 1:10 scale, but really, this should be closer to a 1:15 to really allow more details for the interior. I'm glad the technic pieces made it into the model, because you can't really build the DeLorean time machine w/o using them. Now, if this was an actual Lego set, (God forbid!), chances are the Mr. Fusion function would have to be it's own specific piece for the model as well as a slightly larger version of the flux capacitor. Other than that, kudos for building the machine, and selling the instructions online!

Minifigure Scale is 3.5 studs to 1 meter. Lego City cars have a usual width of 6 studs, which is slightly under the size of a Smart Car. The London Bus, as big as it is, is in fact Minifigure Scale.
The reason why Lego Cars are so small is because originally they aren't meant to represent real cars. They're made to represent the toy cars kids can get to drive in their backyards. That's because Minifigures weren't originally representative of adults, but instead children. Currently, Lego uses a scale of 2 studs per meter, or even smaller if needed for constraining set size. (The recent Tantive set is about .5 studs per meter.)
Build the Batmobile, too. You won't be disappointed.
Lego NEEDS to make this a set in the same scale as the ecto 1 and 1989 batmobile. If they did I would buy that so fast.

I made my own LEGO DeLorean time machine on my TH-cam page, and I gotta say I’m so impressed with how well the body of the car was done on this! Might have to improve mine based on this technique, so good!
I wouldn’t man yours look awesome and you built it without instructions. There will always be someone out there with a design you like better, but at least you can say you built it yourself!

One thing I would change is the exhausts as they are grey not black , it’s a common mistake

I'd like to see Dave Slater make a UCS 1966 Batmobile and a Batman vs. Superman:Dawn of Justice Batmobile.I have Legos UCS Tumbler and I plan on buying the instructions for Daves 1989 Batmobile and the above mentioned Batmobiles would be a great addition to my UCS collection,I love the size of them.
It would be cool if they made official Lego sets of all 4-ish Deloreans.

I want to like this set but those mirrors are angles wrong. Why are the side mirrors pointed diagonally upward? What’s with those rectangular handles where the doors windows are supposed to be?

It's a fabulous reproduction and great commentary I made a delorean at the same scale on my channel. It's so iconic so no getting it right is impossible add all the odd angles vary hard and the gull wings are oh so difficult. Love the dash and seats

Australian resident here... From prior experience, I would end up spending more on postage than the cost of the bricks themselves.
This needs to be an official LEGO set. I would 10/10 buy this. BTTF is literally my favorite franchise ever. I have my own mini LEGO design that includes the delorean and docs van. I would absolutely LOVE this model. Please LEGO... PLEASE

If you paid attention, we saw the TIE/sk Striker in pieces up front and the Delorean in the background during last weeks news update. Shouldn’t be a surprise that this came out; been waiting for the Striker! Looks great guys.
This DeLorean is sooo cool! It's not minifig scale, but it doesn't have to be, extremely well done, I don't think anybody can make it even better! All's really missing is a way to modify it so it can look like the BTTF part 3 version with train wheels and the add-ons to the hood, not to mention the weathering on the car itself, but otherwise, very cool MOC Lego model for such an iconic car!
The Flux in this is better detailed than the Eaglemoss Collections Model Travesty. This version's wheels are more sturdy too.
