  • This is called Social Textures because it’s really a simple design of moss stitch in the round followed up with touch of texture. The social part came from Mikey since I talked to others the entire time I crocheted this blanket. It’s easy to remember the repeat and you don’t always have to look down at your work.

I really enjoyed this pattern. I’m now working on my 2nd. I love granny square patterns, they’re just my favorite bc you work out not back and forth, you can stop when it’s large enough and in most cases no need for any edging unless you want to. I did this using Premier Crosswords and it came out just terrific. It worked just great for this yarn. Thank you

Thank you so much for your excellent video work. I’m a visual learner and came back again for the third blanket to get me started again with the first two rows. Then row 5 came back quickly. I’m using Caron Cakes ~ Strawberry Trifle and I have three cakes to use. It’s gonna look fabulous for a baby blanket.

For the Gingham pattern, I actually like the idea of having 4 rows of sc, then the FPtr row .... extend out each square with this pattern. Just larger squares. The gingham might not be as visual but still would make for an interesting alternative. Simple pattern overall, but a great look for male or female. Thanks so much!

It's a lovely rug, but I keep getting confused when joining from one round to another, I have the video on half speed, so I can try and follow, but I just can't sort out those joins. Your fingers keep getting in the way (this is by no means a criticism), and I can't see exactly where to put my hook.

Love this blanket. Just started it and find it a bit confusing although after replaying it over and over I finally got through to row 10. Now when I go back around to the original pattern and I have the 3 double crochets am I supposed to single crochet into every space then chain one or are you skipping a couple throughout until you reach the corners?

Ever thought about auctioning off the piece u make in each video on Ebay or something? People might love to own something they and their friends can watch being made in a video

I’m confused. In the pattern it says to sc around the post of the hdc. In the video, you just sc into the space made. Your way seems easier, but which is correct? Or does it matter?

It doesn’t seem that he actually follows the pattern. One of the most confusing videos I’ve ever watched and I can’t find another video for this pattern. 🥲

So i just started this one myself and I feel the same. So I printed out the instructions and read the row, then watch the video and follow by reading the row again. I am finally on row 6 and have a little square going. I marked my corners with stitch markers so i don't get confused until my blanket grows a bit.

When you have a video going if you look on the bottom right you will see some symbols. If you click on the gear a pop-up menu appears. Look for Playback speed. You can change the speed to go slower or faster. Try the .75, I think you'll like that speed.
