An Easy Slip Fix For Hand Engraving

This technique provides a quick and easy way to fix a graver slip. It will work for most but the most serious of graver slips. You will need a burnisher and a scotch brite pad.

What is that buzzing sound when you engrave? I've heard it in many engraving videos. Is it a special pneumatic tool used for engraving? Or is it the sound of metal scraping on metal?

It’s a pneumatic hand piece. I use the Lindsay Classic specifically. There are three main methods of hand engraving. Hand push, hammer and chisel, and pneumatic.

Don’t give up. Sometimes you can find good deals used. I would check engraving groups on Facebook.
