    great idea...my wife would appreciate it but one thing that doesn't sit well with me is the fan emulators. what happens if the inline fan fails and the ASIC doesn't know to shutdown?

    i bought this kit for my s19xp, ill be installing it in my house as soon as we start heating $$. i was wondering, wont the miner stop mining by itself if it hits the max temp shut off? Or does bypassing the stock fans cancel this feature? thanks for the installation video.

    It's great stuff they made. Keeping noise low while having lower power consumption and better cooling is just great. One thing bothers me tho, I think they can make addition not so hard imo.
    Those fan emulators should be connected to big fan so if fan started misbehaving ASIC should shut down due to signal sent through fan emulator. Like fan not working or all fans not working
    I don't think it should be hard to make, and it keeps ASIC safe from destroying it's self.
    Good video man, thx 👌

    I asked an electrician. He said that you can add a thermal resistor in the circuit. Once the inline fan fails/stops, the resistor collapse and the miner stops working due to the absence of power supply!
    Therefore you don’t have to worry about your precious miner!

    Nice Setup! Love the Fruits and Associate Shroud System.
    How are you adding Intake into that Room? As that Inline fan is exhausting 800 CFM constantly if on High.
    Do you believe the siliencers are worth it? Or do you believe you can get away without them? As i know the inline fan is rather quiet.
    Enjoy!

      Went through it a bit but on hot days I was using a normal industrial fan to just blow out a window while the other 2 windows bring in air from the exhaust fan basement acts as a natural wind tunnel as it's air tight this replaces the fan and acts as the exhaust on top of quieting down the miner. For the silencers would depend on the person and what they can tolerate the fan could be fine alone depending on the person.

    • @fullyelectric
      @fullyelectric ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One more thing when shutdown the miner you need to unplug the miner first and wait 2min or so before turning off the fan that’s if you overclock because the chips will be running very hot when you OC so it’s very important to keep the fan running for a few min after the miner is unplug, no need for extra fan run time if you under volt, only for OC.

    Hello,
    I’m having an issue with my fruition setup. I’m getting errors on all four fans with the following message:
    "Fan is not detected or its speed is low. Check whether the fan connection is normal, replace the power supply, or replace the fan."
    I thought the emulator was supposed to fix this problem. When I connected one of the original ASIC fans that I had removed, the error for that fan disappeared, so it seems like either the emulator or the connection to the emulator isn’t working correctly. I’ve tried reaching out to Fruition, but I haven’t received any response.
    Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to download specific firmware? I’m currently using the latest firmware for the Antminer S21 (February release).
    My machine is a antminer s21.

  • @watahyahknow
    @watahyahknow 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    it will be harder to install but a torin fan will be queter from the start and might not need a silencer if youre not too picky
    you need one that flows about 412.00 cfm wish is about the same as the 200 mm tubefan youre running
    there available build in a mdf or metal box and can be ordered in a silent box (basicly the same box but lined with the same foam as in those silencers) , they actually can build up a lot more airpressure / force more air trough the ducts , you can ask to not have the hole on the blow side cut or tell them the height from the bottom so you can mount it to get it to sit level with the miningrig and the ducting installed on it (or use some flexhose)
    looking intoo silencing mining rigs myself and have considered inmersion cooling , one advantage is the direct heat transfer to the fluid wish eliminate hotspots that can happen when airflow is interupted inside the machine say by a piece of dirt or a bent coolingblock rib or an overactive / failing asic and you can run at clockspeed that are about 50 percent higher without as mush as a peep of disagreement from the mining rig , the huge downside is the fluid itself , its heavy when you need to get 50 liters of it up 4 flights of stairs to youre apartment , expensive , and youre rig will be drenched in it when you pull it out and drip all over the floor to where you need to work on it
    oh , and if youre tank or pump system strikes a leak it will spill about 50 liters all over the bedroomfloor
    i live in the 2nd floor of a 3 floor apartment hense the need for silence , my neighbour wakes up when i as mush as drop a shoe on the floor or flush the toilet so sleeping while hearing sumting simulair to a plane on takeoff whont do , now that same neighbour wouldnt be at all pleased if oil start leaking out of his ceiling , so aircooled it is staying
    going to look intoo having the mining rig controll the speed on the big extraction fan , it allready does regulate the speed of the computerfans so you should basicly be able to do a speedcontroller that plugs in place of one of the fanspeed simulators to translate the power output from the controllboard for the 12 volt casefan to regulate the 220 volt torinfan and be done , should be litterally plug and play
    as for melting the asics when the fan blows a breaker , you could run sumting like a latching relay (look it up on youtube ) or just a relay , that would shut the power off to the mining rig if you loose power to the fan

    Noise always be a problem, this is very impressive my man! My farm is remote to where I live and work. I use PLC, relays and contactors and frequency converter to control system like these, it made sure if my master fan and local fan(miner's specialized fan like yours) is off, the ASIC and Server cases won't get power at all. Also PLC can control each individual of ASIC's and server case's power circuit, which I need to reboot of them physically, I can do it like 800 kms away and won't affect whoe farm's operation. That can be a fun side project as well, I learned PLC myself thru youtube videos. Normally Simens PLC 1214 only cost about $400 in US. Now I hooked up thermalcouples to measure farm inlet/outlet air temperatures and feed it to PLC, then PLC can auto control speed of my master fan. now I only go to my farm at quarterly basis just to dust them off or adding new hardwares.

    • @ultimatetian
      @ultimatetian ปีที่แล้ว

      To anyone's interest: I'm not specialized in mechanical or electrical enginnering, but in Aerospace Enginnering (yeah like rocket science!). Which involes a lot of fluid and aerodynamic stuff, I do kept my farm's flow profile and temperature at optimal.

    • @ultimatetian
      @ultimatetian ปีที่แล้ว

      My master fan is a 1m x 1m diamter exhaust fan operations maximum at 1400RPM, thru PLC, I can define running profiles like keeping the fan only at 10% of max speed when farm temp is below 25C.

      I use minimum set up ($174+$179=$353) on S19 XP. Only installed AC Infinity S8 inline fan and the front shroud. Did not installed the back shroud. The back shroud reduce the air flow. By not installing the back shroud, I can use lower fan setting 8/10 instead 9/10 or 10/10. Did not install the duct. Noise level goes down from 83db to 72db (for fan setting 8/10). More noise are coming out from the air intake side (S8 side) compared to the air outtake side. I guess for more quietness, use AC Infinity Silencer on the intake/S8 side. For max quietness, use the silencer on both side.
