Thank you for the kind comment Drawde; much appreciated! I would opt for St. George NOLA or Mr. Black instead of Kahlua for a coffee liqueur now, but it's all personal taste! Cheers!
@@Horseations as expected you hit the nail on the head i tried several (to make sure i liked them of course) and its wonderful. I had a bit of double cream to thicken it up a touch and it was the tits
@@_wimza_7983 awesome, I'm glad you found the right ratios for your taste! Yea, sometimes following recipes to the key might not work out for some, as everyone has a different palate! Do what works best for you :D Cheers!
Uh oh, someone didn't sleep! I hope you enjoy the drinks! Feel free to check out other coffee liqueurs as well, such as Mr. Black or St George Nola Coffee! Cheers!
Kahlua with half and half already sounds scrumptious! No need for vodka, but I do recommend the toasted almond! Disaronno is a great almond liqueur. I also recommend St George's NOLA coffee liqueur or Mr Black over Kahlua nowadays! Thanks for the input even if this video is over 4 years old. I might have to provide an update...:)
Thanks for watching and please enjoy! On that note, video is a bit outdated and I'd definitely recommend Mr. Black or St. George NOLA liqueur over Kahlua now :) Appreciate your comment and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Does a layered cocktail with Kahlua, Vodka and Bailey's at the top without any ice sound like a good idea? I want to eliminate the ice addition and the mixing part.
That does sound like a good idea! The Vodka would sit on the top though, because it has the least amount of sugar (sugary liqueurs will sink to the bottom vs high alcohol liquor). One recommendation I have is the B-52 shot, which I enjoy. It's basically those 3, but instead of vodka, you top with Grand Marnier. Great shooter :) Let me know what you think and enjoy! Thanks for watching!
Totally! I agree with you that Kahlua is really sweet and I also personally do not reach for it anymore. It's been replaced with St George NOLA and Mr. Black on my shelves :) cheers!
Thanks for inquiring! Yes, Kahlua is quite sweet because it's a liqueur. Most of the cocktails here are leaning towards the sweeter tooth. I should probably do an updated video...I cringe watching this one sometimes haha
Great questions! Double straining helps to strain out unwanted mini ice chips that could get into the drink, which might be too small and pass through the first strainer. It also helps to generate more "froth" with cream or egg white cocktails! The mixing tools I use in this video are a bit outdated. I currently get most of my bar tools from A Bar Above! Check them out, affordable and great quality from industry professionals! Hope this all helps!
Your "kahlua milk" is also known as a " Sombrero" as far as I know... & aren't there ANY other recipes for kahlua that DON'T include vodka??! As someone who gets violently ill on just the smell 0f the stuff, I avoid it at ALL costs.. Kinda disappointed they were all the badic same or ones i already knew of... *sigh *...
Thank you for pointing those out, I never knew it was named the "Sombrero". Personally, I no longer stock Kahlua on my shelf because I have moved onto other coffee liqueurs that I find less sweet and more palpable such as St George NOLA or Mr. Black. Thank you for taking the time to watch though, I appreciate it, even if this video is out of date! I'll play around with my current coffee liqueurs more.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback! I'm currently using Mr. Black and St George's NOLA; I believe these are much better! I've actually never shaken a White Russian before but I'll go ahead and give that a shot! Thank you again :)
@@windermere2330 Feel free to try Mr. Black or St. George NOLA! This video was made 3 years ago and I agree that Kahlua is too sweet! It's been replaced on my shelf :) Happy sippin!
Two tips: 1. Ice is not a necessity. All it does is water down (dilute) a drink. It is quite easily possible to live without ice. Try it and see. 2. Why do you need to 'grab' everything? Try speaking English (not 'Americanese').
No messing about just showing the ingredients and making cocktails. Great video!!!!

I’ve had the White Russian before. It’s delicious!
I want the mudslide! Anything with Baileys in it has to taste good! 😋
Delicious I tell ya! Totally agree; hope you enjoy lots this holiday season!
One for every 6 hrs
That sounds like a great way to live!
I like to have this in my morning coffee, then another at brunch, and then after a couple lunch beers, I'm ready for 5 o'clock 😜
hahaha, that sounds like an amazing time! Cheers to you!
Finally recipes that don't require extra stuff that I barely know what they are. Thanks

Best and the most simple video out here
Wow, thank you for your kind words! Now I'm thinking I should do an updated version... Cheers!
When I was a very young man, me and my roommates use to put Kahlua in our cereal for breakfast. 😂
Sounds like an absolute party! Probably super wired to start the day...cheers!
You can make a Colorado Bulldog by adding some Coke but I use Dr. Pepper to a White Russian. But I use heavy whipping cream instead of milk.
Thank you for sharing! I've never heard of the Colorado Bulldog, I've got to try it out. I bet it tastes super refreshing with the fizziness!
The milk cocktail is the best one yet
I love Kahlua with half and half! I don’t like vodka, so most of the others are a hard no. I may try the toasted almond

Where is the coffee ?
Why is it important to double strain curious about that? And where do you get all your mixing tools you got there?
