This ignores the elephant in the room.
Draymond drove off Durant, punches out the team’s next best thing, and goes to the limit in technical fouls every year and his coach sez there is nothing he can do about any of it because that’s ‘just how he is’.
A team with that much talent should win a lot no matter what, but that doesn’t make it a team.
When one of its ‘leaders’ is trashing and fighting his own teammates and gets away with it just because he’s good, the end is near.

There was a moment late in a game where the warriors needed a basket and time was running out- Poole got the ball and Steph -who was blazing hot that night- asked for the ball. Poole took a very bad shot instead, it missed badly. Steph got the ball and fired it into the crowd and was later fined. That was the last straw for the warriors. Good riddance

My view is that Jordan Poole had some great moves to the basket, which worked very well in season 2021--2022. But during season 2022-2023 the defenders in the league had seen his moves and studied the on tape and worked out effective moves to disrupt his drives. During 2023 Poole was much less effective in getting to the rim. He was like many young players in baseball who have a great first season or two but cool off as the pitchers around the league figure out his weakness and pretty soon his is just an average player.

True. Also having Poole with Steph and Klay on the same floor decreases their cohesiveness that they'res used to from the past years. Their system before was always the use of off-ball screens and give Steph the ball for the open shot or when he's being doubled, give it to the next open guy. But with Poole, I could sometimes see they don't do that and instead let him run the plays which most of the time consists of only two, shooting an ill-advised shot farther from the 3-pt line or just drive to the basket and pray the refs call a shooting foul.

I will put 80% of the blame on Jordan Poole’s departure on the Warriors itself.
As week, see what happened during the world games with Steve Kerr as a coach, he didn’t get that team ready to play.
Kerr has written the coattails of curry and clay. Thompson’s dominance to the point people think he’s a Gregg Popovich level coach. His inability to get the best out of James Wiseman, the disintegration of building for the future with Poole and the lack of usage of Jonathan Kuminga, who can be a Kobe Bryant level talent is more evidence of him, not being able to deal with the egos of an Asian set of players

Gone are the days where players demand the bag and teams to be patient with them. If you feel you are developing then don't demand the bag. Even Curry didn't demand the bag till his second contract extension. I still remember Curry recover from his ankle problems and stabilizing from his rise, after then the team readily gave him his contract.
Poole rose too quickly, didn't face his impending slumps, didn't settle into developing routines, and demanded his bag. Just like other young stars like Ben Simmons and Zion Wliliamson.
Teams now are more intelligent, especially with closing windows such as with Curry, Klay, and Green. Look at such as the Lakers, Philly, Clippers, and Bucks who are constantly in panic mode. They don't wanna deal with drama such as with Westbrook and Harden.

Will the Dubs regret trading him. I doubt it. But a sure indicator is how they do this season with CPIII. Early indications are, so far so good. The second unit is functioning smoothly and effectively under veteran leadership. Instead of giving up leads, it is adding to them. Team chemistry and enthusiasm has returned. The Dubs made a simple calculus. Two years (presumably) of CPIII now, during the " "Steph window" (i.e., while we are always a threat to make a run for the title) is worth more than up to 15 years of Poole and his ceiling. I think the Dubs made the right call on this one.

Bodily assault as the punch in the face Jordan Poole received from Draymond is a crime. Steve Kerr acted like nothing unusual had happened and failed to suspend Draymond an appropriate amount of time for his vicious action, which might have given Poole the space to come to terms with the ferocious hostility of what had happened. The physical punishment of the punch changed his attitude and thinking about being on a team that accepted Draymond's behavior as nothing serious, instead swept it under the carpet really while Draymond stayed home with his daughter for a few days, hence sending the message that the Warriors basically didn't care about him. Thus his motivation and physical ability to play on the team were affected mightily, with the result that his poor performance for the rest of the season was nothing like the soaring confidence he showed the previous championship year. The simple emotional consequence of a hard punch in the face is avoidance and wanting distance from the aggressor for physical safety. Thoughts about money and bonding with the team to achieve common victories are physiologically secondary to basic self-protection after such an attack. The caring team trust, mutual respect, empathy, and patience developed over a span of years that characterized the Nuggets players, coach and whole organization last season as they played for and won the championship was destroyed in a single blow last October for the Warriors when Greene hit Poole. He was no longer a "splash brother"-- he became an enemy. As was reported about Kevin Durant and Draymond, it was a spiritual problem within the Warriors team.

Jordan felt that he was “Jordan” , he believed he had arrived after the Warriors paid him the “Bag” . He read his headlines and perhaps he believed he was the next coming of Steph Curry . What separates some one from being very good and have potential to be great is truly “ Great” players are never satisfied. They work continually on their game to become Elite. When Steph came into the NBA , he was a very skilled player but was besieged by injury and was not a very good defensive player . We all knew he could shoot , but he never allowed himself to be complacent and worked tirelessly at strengthening his strengths and improving upon his weaknesses . Poole has the talent and had the potential to be Great, he had the opportunity to learn from the core 3 , but instead he grew complacent and too full of himself not realizing that the other 3 contributed to his breakout season . It’s unfortunate the way things turned out for the Warriors and Jordan because he could have been an instrumental piece to help the Warriors continue their journey into becoming chose the Greatest NBA franchise ever!!!

That trade was crazy. When The Wizards got CP3 in the Beal trade all of the media were reporting that he was almost certainly going to take a buyout and go somewhere else. Then out of nowhere Golden State offer Poole, PBJ, Ryan Rollins a first round pick and a second round pick for a 37 year old who would have probably been a free agent a week later. They got more for CP3 than they did for Bradley Beal 🤣 They basically paid Washington a huge premium to take him off their hands and just a year before he'd have gone for a massive haul.

You do understand that with this new tax apron they either had to get rid of Poole's contract or lose both Draymond and potentially Klay further down the road right? Granted they was hoping Poole would of been Steph's replacement but he got to arrogant and cocky (nothing like Steph and not even half as good so not worth the headache) unfortunately they soon realized that maybe they made a huge mistake and overpaid for his service. Getting a true point guard in CP3 plus being able to keep the core together for another title run by being able to afford to now keep both Klay and Draymond was a win win situation. No CP3 will not be able to replace what Poole gave them on the offensive side but he would be able to get EVERYONE more involved with way less turnovers. This is essentially what the Warriors was hoping to get from Poole
