What I am saying is average weight would also be different for her height too. I'm 4ft 11 so my average would be between 98-115
Just saying he said Tyrion wins for drinking most but she wins for best drinker. Mainly because she handles it better but could it be she handles it better because she is taller and has a bit more weight on her? It is entirely possible both drink just as much as the other?

Tyrion is not the one defending the kingdom either. The battle at blackwater was his first and only battle. He's more of a scholar, not a warrior. Also, while muscles mean it is hard for alcohol to make it through the system when you have a height difference of one foot (Tyrion is 4'5, Cersei is 5'5), and with it weight difference, that's going to more than make up for any minute gender difference.
Storm Bey i never got to watch the show all that much and i wasn't going mainly off genders either i do understand the hight difference but he does get into more strenuous activities then just fighting in battles from what i hear and if your blood to muscle ratio is high enough you can filter out more alcohol then a normal person although its very unlikely its still possible i was just trying to put more sence into it was all

Fun fact, Dean Martin actually wasn't a drunk, and faked it for the comedy. He did obviously drink though. I was researching him after surprisingly learning I liked his music, and I remember seeing that somewhere.
I think, with all due respect to Tyrion, it’s only fair to mention that Sandor Clegane, the first of his name, the King Fucker, The Chicken Eater, and The Slayer of The King’s Men earned his last title having chugged a pint 🍺 of ale. Maybe two. Of course, The Hound is much larger than Tyrion, but still...Tyrion never slayed the King’s Men while drunk.

True, but alcohol tolerance is a misnomer. The body doesn't process it better, in fact in a lot of "tolerant" people they get drunk faster, bu they become accustomed to the response effect so they don't feel as drunk as they are. That's why BAC is important. Most people don't actually realize how much neurotoxin they downed or how it's affecting them.
It's actually often a sign of addiction. The body adjusting somewhat to the response and needing more and more to "feel" drunk is no different than any other feeling of addiction that needs bigger and bigger hits for the same response.
Some instances of ODing happens because if you're not feeling it, you assume you didn't take much, but the laws of physics don't magically change.The amount they took is still in the system.

Problem is, it wouldn't be considered a wine anymore at that point. It would have to be distilled, which would make it a brandy.
The strongest a wine can technically be is around 35-40%

Hey MatPat,
I was recently watching Polar Express and I felt there might be more to it than initially meets the eye.
There was this very mysterious character that appeared to be a crazy hobo, but claimed to be “the King of the North Pole”. It was implied that he was some form of ghost or spirit, and he displayed supernatural abilities, such as appearing and disappearing at will. Now I don’t have a strong idea on his role, he allegedly saves The Conductor from falling off the train and he saves the protagonist from the same fate on screen. This indicates to me, that if he is ghost, this might have been how he died. He seemed very much like stowaway when he was first shown, and The Conductor makes a big point of how important the tickets for the train are, and even goes as far as taking one of the kids outside of the train when they lose their ticket!
There was also some strange scenes and choices in the movie. For one, there was a somewhat disturbing scene with unattended record players that occurs 55 minutes into the movie. There was also a scene where some elves had to make a decision over whether a child was naughty or not, when their computer systems were saying “naughty”, so they phoned up Santa; however, instead of waiting for him to pick up, they decide to “give the kid a break” and mark them as nice, almost as though they believed Santa would have something different to say. Finally, Santa Clause is portrayed rather strangely. Santa Clause seems very condescending or pompous, and is given an almost Satan-like voice that is not very jolly at all.
As some final notes, the hobo turned to snow when he hit, or was about to hit, the top of a short tunnel, which may be alluding to a different cause of death.

The title could be "Who is the Homeless Man in Polar Express?" I would say he is by far the most interesting character in this movie.
I found the movie deceptively simple, and it leaves me questioning so many of the decisions. If it was directed by any one of the many other directors, I may have just blown off many of the decisions as poor choices. I really enjoyed the mood generated by the art and the sound throughout, even the brighter colours seemed dark.
Not a typical Christmas movie, but a classic.

In the books it’s described that after killing his father Tyrion drinks himself blind almost every night. It’s also worth pointing out that Tyrion made himself appear more drunk at his wedding because that was the only way he might possibly avoid severe punishment for threatening to geld Joffrey in front of the court.

This is a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy drink that describes the experience as having your brains smashed through with a lemon wrapped around a large gold brick. Is there a synthetic way to experience the taste and effects of the alcoholic beverage without severe or any damage? Of course it possibly has to have some sort of alcohol content, but is there ACTUALLY a way to make one that isn't lethal? I will send an email regarding this, along with posting this on your discussions page, if that is okay. It would be REALLY COOL to try this out.

I'm sorry for replying 4 years late but I do think you might find this interesting: An alcohol substitute that creates effects similar to real alcohol with smaller health risks is being created right now.
So it's not much of a stretch something like this could happen in the distant future, I suppose. Especially considering there are a lot of substances that mess with your brain more than alcohol does while not putting you in danger of death (Certain psychedelic plants)

Considering you did an episode on where people would be twice their sizes i thought i’d recalulate this.
First of all for the messurements, the servings stay the same, at 5 oz per glass of wine,, and Matt’s suggested 22% per servingh. But doubling it since tyrion pours his challice completely to the brim, which sets us up for 10oz per serving.
Now for Tyrions size, Matt put Tyrion at 100lbs and 4’5 which equals to a bmi of 25.0.
We’re gonna make that 400lbs at 8’10 since that would also put him at the exact same bmi.
Now for the conservative amount: 2 hours of drinking 2 servings per half hour would put him at 4 servings of 10 oz which would put him at a total of 40 oz wine at 22%.
Entering this into a BAC calulator, it came out as 0.135, which is considerably less than Matt’s 0.30.
The aggressive amount would add up to a serving every 15 minutes for 4 hours long, which would add up to 160 oz of wine at 22%. That would put him at a BAC 0.6.

Sorry but this is a weak theory, you're basing your results off of a rare example where Tyrion is unhappy that he is being forced to marry Sansa. I highly doubt Tyrion would be filling his glasses to the brim on a day to day basis and that he constantly drinks at a steady pace. It's reasonable to assume that he would have been drinking more wine during an awkward and embarrassing wedding banquet than he does acting as hand of the king or a prisoner.
You are right , just from remembering tryrion, who is my favorite character, He never poured more than a seconds worth of wine in a glass before sipping it. He more than likely didn't drink as much as everyone thinks, also if he likes to drink that means he would prefer wine with less alcohol content. How do we know that he was always drinking off the top shelf. He is a mad genius and knows how to budget so I am pretty sure he would buy low to mid grade wine. Which is just as good, especially for a drunk. Film theory is bullshitting trying to get views.
another problem is that he assumes that cersi is drinking the same fortified stuff that tyrion is known for drinking. also at the wedding they would be serving whatever the normal wine is, and thus not the extra strong stuff. all of this taken into account and compared to the fact that the extra strong stuff is 3x the normal stuff and the normal wine is closer to our wine (11%), as strong alcohol is about 30-50% (rum, vodka, even kalua fits in this range at 36%).
using a cork and letting it breath is stuff we do today, even at the low 11%, 22% is what it was at when it was strong, so 33% being extra fortified would not be too far out there.

Cersei is drunk in that scene coz she was pretty much expecting the defences to fail and had ordered Illyn Payne to kill everyone once it happens; as it would be better than being taken trophy and raped.
It is true that once his life started spiralling down Tyrion is shown to have taken to drinking; but it was not such a strong habit before, say Joeffrey's wedding.

In both Tyrion and Cersei instances, they were in a bad situation so were drinking more than usual, Tyrion being forced to marry a girl he doesn't love and Cersei expecting not to survive the night (she was on the verge of administering death by poison for herself and her son when her father entered the throne room). They wanted to be blitzed so they wouldn't remember their humiliation, and expected rape by the invaders in Cersei's case. Yet MatPat describes it as their normal amount instead of their drink-to-forget amount. I'd instead compare the two having a typically tense Lannister dinner, where each has 3-4 drinks of fortified wine, so cut the 0.36 to 0.18 instead: way past the limit, but still blearily awake.
In the end, it's not Jon Snow or Kaleesi that will rule Westeros but Legend27
